(This review is overdue). Boris serviced our Sub-Zero 650 fridge in late 2023, which came with the house we bought. The unit needed some rehabbing - including replacing the control board, and complete gasket replacement. Boris was pleasant to work with, straightforward in his approach, and a complete pro. Our fridge is like new, and we are super happy with the service he provided.

I recently acquired one of the first made home commercial Wolf ranges and wanted to service it. I thought is was impossible to find a knowledgeable Wolf repair person until I came across Boris. He was fantastic, he definitely knows his stuff! I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. He serviced my range, was very honest and I'd like to add fun to talk with. If I need any future service, I will definitely be calling Boris back without hesitation.

We asked Boris to repair our near 20 year old Wolf range/stove and he did a brilliant job. We had tried the authorized Bay Area Wolf range repair company three times over 5 years and our stove never got properly fixed, and just continued to get worse. Now our Wolf range and stove is working as it did when we first bought it!!

Boris is a magician, seriously. We have a semi-pro wolf oven that needed servicing.
Boris showed up on time with his colleague and fixed everything within 30 min....with the help of a ......paper clip.

This review is long overdue. We have a Subzero 650 that needed some TLC and Boris came, assessed, told us exactly what was wrong, how long it would take for the parts to arrive, and made an appointment to install the parts when they arrived. He was transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. Plus, he fixed the refrigerator.

You'll get honest, quality work from Boris with no BS.

I have to say I was somewhat disappointed in the service and communication I received from this outfit.
Boris came out a few days after I called and he ordered a replacement assembly from Subzero which was shipped to my house. After about a week I called him to find out when he was coming to install the part. He apologized for not getting back to me, and came out the following week and installed the replacement compressor or some system like that. He restarted the unit and said the temperature was dropping and would be cold the next day. Unfortunately the unit only got cool, and the following week my refrigerator drawer registered 90 degrees and smelled faintly of ozone. I called him on a Tuesday to inform him of this, and he told me turn the unit on (I had turned it off) and he would call the next day to determine what was probably the problem. He did not call, and I called back on Thursday and got the answering machine. I left a message imploring him to call me.
I called on the following Monday and his answering machine was full so I could not leave a message. I called again the next day and was able to speak to him. He then came out at the end of that week and fixed the problem and the unit is now working fine.

When would our awesome, 15 year-old workhorse - a Sub-Zero refrigerator - finally decide to have an issue? While my spouse was in Asia on a business trip. Naturally! But this story has a happy ending: Boris came to my rescue! He even noticed that the problem with the refrigerator - a torn seal - had also happened to the freezer, but I just hadn't seen it yet! In no time at all, our refrigerator was fixed, my freezer was better than ever AND he replaced a burnt out light bulb in the refrigerator for free! He was right on time, his prices were quite reasonable and he was very knowledgeable. He even gave me some helpful tips on how to keep my refrigerator happy in the future: no cut lemons in the refrigerator! They oxidize the parts.

I hope not to need Boris' help again any time soon, but I'd highly recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to call him in the future.

I have a 1997 Wolfe Range...one of the first year Wolfe made a residential range. Since Wolfe was bought by SubZero it is nearly impossible to find someone in the East Bay to repair it. I finally called Cherins Appliance where I bought it in '97 and when they suggested Box Appliance and I told them Box won't work on the older models, they sent me to Boris.
I had to persuade him that a trip to the East Bay wouldn't be too hard at 7 am, and he came, did a complete overhaul of the stovetop that was clicking away everytime I used it and it is now good for another 20 years...enshallah!
He may even be thinking of coming regularly to the East Bay, if he has enough work over here.

I called Boris today and to my surprise he was working in Marin County for the day. He was able to add me to his schedule and come by to fix my Scotsman Ice Machine in the afternoon. I was very pleased with his work. He also gave me some advice and filtration recommendations. I would definitely call him again for future kitchen appliance repairs.
