This is the second time in 5 years that FixEm has helped us. This time it was or downstairs refrigerator. They did a great job. The ice maker had failed and required a replacement. The technician was able to pick p the part and returned to install it at 8PM the same day. He was done before 8:30 and it appears to be working again. Quoted us a fair price including labor and that was exactly the final cost.
The technician was very knowledgeable about appliances and I learned a lot from him. He also let me know that our Kenmore unit was hard to find parts since Whirlpool no longer makes Kenmore refrigerators.

Another service call was needed for our dryer... this time, the dryer was squeaking.
Jose showed up for the repair. He diagnosed the issue and immediately fixed it. I really liked him... he reminded me of an OG repairman, someone who has been around and knowledgeable in his job.. He was friendly and professional.
This is company is fast and efficient in responding to your call and needs. The quality service is top notch. They really care about your ensuring your satisfaction. I recommend this company if they service your area.
**by the way to Zoey M** you shouldn't give this company one star because they don't service your area in Richmond / Point Richmond. I'm sure they have their reasons and you're in their city boundary. They are prompt in responding back to your inquiry. I needed my ice maker and dryer repaired. Gabriel showed up. He told me that it would be too costly to repair the ice maker. It has been an ongoing issue with Samsung brand. In the future, he recommended not buying a refrigerator with a built-in ice maker inside the fridge. They have too many problems.
Next, my Samsung dryer was not producing heat. Gabriel realized we needed to reset the circuit breaker. He explained to me that the dryer outlet plug has two lines. One of the lines was tripped. The second line was able to produce electricity, but not heat. GOOD TO KNOW in the future... FYI - my husband did trip one of our outlets, but he didn't know he also tripped the dryer... LOL...

They responded to an online inquiry within about 48 hours which is pretty good. The tech that came out (Arthur) was not great and basically said oh you got an LG POS it's not worth fixing, id never buy and LG blah blah blah. They quoted $500 to replace a valve so the water dispenser would work.
I found the part online for $50 and put it in myself in about 45 mins.

Called to have refrigerator icemaker repaired. Tech found the maker defective and said it would have to be replaced. Parts were ordered and turn around time was a little over a week. Service was very good, communication was good, tech was friendly. Then why only three stars? FixEm I feel was slightly pricy in my opinion (this I found after the fact). Secondly, this icemaker is a very common type used in more than many refrigerators and they had to order it? Checking the same product that they installed I found it offered at lower prices elsewhere. They also charged $25 shipping and handling to order it. Hummmm, let's see get on the phone or the web order the item, item received, set it aside for the install date, tech picks it up and brings it to house. Go figure.

Additionally, you had a week to call us and express any concerns about the pricing or decide to cancel the appointment if you felt the cost was too high.
We use OEM parts to ensure quality and longevity. While it's true that parts can sometimes be found at lower prices elsewhere, our pricing includes the cost of sourcing the correct part, shipping, handling, and ensuring it arrives in a timely manner for your repair. If the part took a week to come in, it means it wasn’t in stock with any of our part suppliers in the area. We work with the three biggest part suppliers of OEM parts and don’t just order from random online websites. Additionally, we provide a warranty on all parts installed by us, so if there are any issues with the repair, we are just a phone call away to address them.

The dryer in one of my rental units developed a problem. The drum would not turn properly. I called FixEm and they came promptly to check. A few days later they returned with the part and problem solved. My renter is happy and so am I! I'll call FixEm next time I have an appliance problem.
