This place deserves 0 stars, not even 1. The guy running the booth is the most mean-spirited and hateful person you can think of. Oh, and he won't work with you on any problem, question, issue, even if it's simple and should be able to be worked out in 2 seconds. He's absolutely RIDICULOUS and will try to charge you money even if you're settled up and paid. This person should not be allowed to run a business the way he does.
Here's what happened: I booked a Zipcar from this lot at Stanyan and Beulah, and when I got up to the booth to use the monthly parking pass card, the gate didn't open and the grumpy man opened the window and spat out that there is a charge on this car for $18 because some else had taken a manual ticket for it instead of using the pass card. He OBVIOUSLY knows that Zipcar pays him the monthly fee so WTF is his problem about a manual ticket that someone obviously made the simple mistake of pulling out. All he has to do is void that ticket. It's simple, other parking places do it ALL the time; the old guy is just a mean, greedy person who likes to cause other people troubles because he leads an unhappy life. Anyways, I asked him if he could just take it up with Zipcar since they have the account with him and I was in a hurry to get to a doc appt. He didn't care, he just snarled "too bad." and went inside and shut his booth window. Jerk!
The problem is, when you have a Zipcar, it's not like you have all friggin day to mess with that stuff, so I got on the phone with Zipcar and they just book me another car in the lot. Hopefully Zipcar will get out of there, but if not, just be cautious about using cars from this lot. If you're a driver trying to park your own car there, be ware! If you want to take the risk with this guy, go for it, but don't be surprised if he burns you in the end!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason H.Alameda, United States37216220 Aug 20241 check-in
As of 8/20/2024, it cost $4 per hour to park here. I wanted to do some sightseeing around Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury neighborhood but I had no luck finding street parking. Thankfully this parking lot is conveniently located next to both areas.
The parking lot is quite big. However, I think the parking spaces are kind of tight. It might be better to park a little farther where there are less cars to find a spot that is easier to get in and out of. I don't think there's an attendant that works here because I didn't see anyone. Hopefully you don't have any questions or run into any issues.
There are 2 pay stations near the entrance but it only accepts credit card as payment. My total for almost 4 hours was $16.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17 Nov 2022
This lot is the perfect place to be beaten and robbed. Parked during the daytime and returned after dark. Absolutely no light in the entrance to the parking lot. Just when you're getting your wallet out of your pocket it is pitch dark with plenty of places for an assailant to hide. I recommend this place for parking during the day, but do not park here at night.

I'm not really sure how to rate a parking lot with no attendant. You push a button to get a ticket to get in, pay at the machine when you leave.
As of June 2021 the daily rate was $25.
We used this lot to park in while we stayed at the Stanyan Park Hotel. It's about a 3 minute walk away. It was handy to have access to your car 24/7.
This parking lot is very close to Golden Gate Park. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Botanical Garden and Academy of Sciences, so you could use this lot and walk there to save some money (if you didn't want to park on the street in Golden Gate Park, which, from what I've seen, is susceptible to break-ins).
The parking lot is also close the SFPD, so maybe it is safer than the average lot. (I'm really not sure)
There was ample space during the week, I'm not too sure how it will be on the weekends. They have spots for charging your car as well.
Overall good location at a decent price.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Richard B.San Francisco, United States0327 Jan 2023
The electric charging stations are gradually becoming unusable over the last year. Now only two out of five stations are working. In addition, the charging stalls are often taken by non-charging cars, even ICE cars. There is no way to tell if one of the remaining stations is available without taking a ticket and entering as there's no legal spot to park outside in order to go in and check.

Convenient parking, close to the Golden Gate Park.
Cost me $10 for just under 3 hours parking and they take credit card.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jamie G.Saint Paul, United States04129 Jul 2017
$20 a day parking - can't keep your car their for longer than 72 hours at a time - but wasn't an issue. Safe, secure, would recommend for those staying in the area and I need of longer parking.

This place is fucking scam!! There was an event at the Kezar Pavilion over the weekend and they had a sign saying "Special event parking $12 flat rate". At the end of the night when we were getting ready to exit, they charged me $22!! WTF!! They claimed if you go over 7hrs you get charged full price! Ummmm HELLO!!! Then why didn't you put that on the sign!!?? Plus the event was Dragonhouse MMA which required all the fighters to be there early!! And... with over 20 fights going on that evening, the event is going to go over 7 hours!!! FUCK THIS PLACE!! Highly recommend to never ever park there!! They will FUCK you in the ASS for everything you have!!!

Charged me full 4 hours when I was a few minute past the 3rd hour. When I inquired about using the rest of the 50 min to eat somewhere since I have already paid for the 4th hour. The response was the charge has been processed and you better exit the lot. What kind of customer service is this is there none offered? I told the attendant she needed to remind customers next time that they just passed the hour, may as well used the 50 min for something else, eat, shop or hangout nearby as an option. It is certainly not cheap parking here and it is not fair that you charged the same fee for a few minutes over as well as an additional hour, but not allow the customer to use the remainder of the minutes, promptly paid for when inquired about the possibility of what she paid for and entitled to use. The attendees are not very customer focus and has no incentive to do what they can to help the users of the lot! They charged as described several times already, which promptly me to write thus review. The part that made me blew steam was she kept saying I am right but did nothing to address the issue. What good is me being right when I paid good something I can't even use!

Count your change. I gave the attendant a $20 and he gave me $4, not $14. Then when I pause, he gives me a ratty $10 as if one wouldn't remember receiving that in the first place.
