Lavish Hair Studio

I've been going to this salon for a while. And let me say this is a very nice and affordable place to go. My stylist Tianah has been working on my hair since March I wanna say. And every time I go it's never disappointing. I had black box dye and she helped me remove to get to my desired look that I have now. I went from jet black to highlights, to pink hair, to blonde. I'm definitely coming back for my next session :)

I recently had my daughters hair trimmed and done at lavish. Our hairstylist did a great job, really took my daughters hair into account (she has really thick curly hair) gave me some ideas for products she can use. The vibe is very relaxed and caring. You can tell they care about their clientele.

By far the worst hair experience of my life. I made the mistake of booking at a new salon with whatever stylist that was available for the day I needed since it was the week of my wedding. I wanted something pretty simple but ended up looking super ridiculous. This was with tianah.i had to come back multiple times in order to get my hair to look somewhat normal again.

The first time she made my hair look straight up grey. I did ask for a more ashy blonde but the hair didn't look blonde at all, just ash with hints of purple?? (I guess because of the toner). Either way it looked ridiculous.

I asked her if she can fix it to look more blonde vs grey and came back in the next two days. I also showed her SEVERAL inspo pics of what I wanted. I did emphasize that my money pieces looked super grey and it made me look like an old lady. So to try and counteract that, she made my front pieces extremely blonde like a yellow blonde color that did NOT match the rest of my hair - it looked so funky! I left the salon literally crying.. I told her I didn't like it and she told me that she couldn't do anything about it because she had to pick up her kids that day.

My now husband had to go back to the salon after tianah left to ask one of the other girls to help fix my hair. I believe her name was Christina and she was very sweet but wasn't really able to do much besides try and tone it a bit (it still looked funky unfortunately).

Mind you I was getting married in two days and had a super busy week And had to come back a third time! This time I just told her to tone it completely. Finally it looked normal (but darker that I would have hoped).. I just didn't want to take any more risks with her and bleach so I left grateful that my hair didn't look crazy.

And the end she had the audacity to say that all that happened because there was some communication issues.. I have no idea what she was talking about with that because I sent her SEVERAL inspo pics and even asked her if we can do a strand test (in which she said was not a good idea for the sake of time?). My hair looked nothing like any of the inspo pics.

I've been getting my hair done exclusively at Lavish for several years now. Kara has always done an AMAZING job despite my constant need to drastic changes. I once went balayage blonde to dark brown with some auburn, then lightened back up to a brown then back to balayage blonde again in a matter of a year . She is great-- and when I need a quick bangs trim one of the other gals get me taken care of if Kara is off. Tiana has also done my color once and I love that I can count on them to always do a great job in a pinch. A few photos attached of the color, highlight and cuts over the years that. I love every "season" of my hair and owe that to Kara.

Called yesterday made appointment at 11 today. store wasnt open. called many times and left voicemail. dont waste your time with this place.

My haircut is uneven and several inches shorter than I asked for. Color was okay, but when I asked why my service was twice the expected price (per their website) the stylist couldn't/wouldn't answer. The receipt wasn't itemized or anything, so I guess it'll remain a mystery.

Sent an e-mail to the owner about a week ago with my concerns but I haven't heard back. Not sure there's any way to get in touch so here I am on Yelp.

Editing to add, the owner did reach out and said the stylist in question would be in touch, but they haven't gotten back to me. They also said I got something called a "color melt" which is why my service cost more, but there's no mention of this technique/option/whatever on their menu or in my messages with the stylist. So...

I went in without asking the price of just a straight haircut and framing the face, no time for wash and blow dry 70$ plus tip 10./. Was over 10$
So I walked out paying 80$ ! For 20 mins.
I told her that was expensive and she said, "
that's what the shops around there charge".
Over priced!!! Not cool, not going there again.

I've been looking for a new hair salon and stylist that is closer to my home. I went on yelp and found this one. It was super easy to book online and I was able to be seen on a Sunday- which never happens with salons, it was so convenient. I booked with Tianah, since it was my first time here I didn't really care who I saw, since everyone had great reviews. I am so incredibly impressed with her work and am happy she was the one available. My hair cut is full of volume and she did an amazing job styling it. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. I'll definitely be booking with her again for all of my hair needs. Great experience overall!

I booked three appt at the same time when I got here there was one girl who was there. and it took forever to do the hair 4 hours for blow dry. She had no idea what she was doing and it took forever in the salon. Was very unprofessional. They should have notify me that they only have one stylist that day. The owner was very rude and unapologetic.

I came in with Kara because I needed a sooner appointment and she did amazing with fixing my outgrown balayage. I couldn't even tell that it was different colors previously. She was professional and really easy to talk to which made the appointment go by so much faster. I definitely will be coming back for touch ups.
