Ok I see they don't have any new yelp reviews. I must say I've been to Sapphire 3 times in the last month.
I have had great service all 3 times. From the front Desk reception to my last facial with Sheila.
I did the Ayurvedic hot oil treatment on my for head that was so calming and quite interesting. I feel asleep in 20 min . Then I got a relaxing massage and my masseuse was very kind and through, she was good.
Now Sheila did my facial for 90 min and that was the best facial I've ever experienced any where hands down.
Her calming sense and hands are just magical. She actually has a wonderful system / procedure she does and her massage is everything.... she has a gift for taking care of her clients. She is lovely...
I am truly grateful for her I've booked my next facial in 6 weeks again.
This is not cheap but it is so worth it if u want to relax and have the best experience. My face was glowing.
Thank you Sapphire spa.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1 Dec 2012
The Sapphire Day Spa was available for a last min Massage appointment on a weekend trip in Victoria and for that I was grateful. This Day Spa was a much more special place than I expected to find.
Sapphire's entrance is a shop you can visit without appointment, the Spa area has two lounges, one upstairs and one downstairs. I really enjoyed the non-stuffy, more cozy, relaxing ambiance here. The cucumber water and dried fruits to snack on was a nice touch while wondering around perusing the storefront before my appointment.
They offer a variety of Ayurvedic supplements, oils, and natural health products. A good selection of Pure, Sustainably Harvested Essential Oils, Pre-mixed oils, candles, incense, neck wraps, eye pillows, and more great items that ALL smelled amazing, light and natural.
I had a relaxation Massage and the hubby had the Sport's Massage, which he loved for the therapeutic and healing effects it brought his sore back!
We left feeling relaxed along with some nice purchases for reasonable costs.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jamie J.Oaklands, Victoria, Canada05323 Oct 2019

I just received the best massage of my life from Jodie. I very highly recommend her, especially if you are looking for deep tissue (ask for the Sports massage) and/or have issues with tense neck/shoulders or migraines. I have major issues with neck and back pain and walked out feeling better than I have in months. My husband received a Relaxation massage from Kenan and was also very pleased.
Besides the skill of the massage therapists, I was very impressed with the service here. My masseuse used warm towels and lavender & mint essential oils and it really put a cherry on top. The tea and lounges were great, the atmosphere was very comfortable and professional. The receptionists are exceedingly friendly as well. There is also a fantastic little spa goods shop in the front of the establishment as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rhonda T.Vancouver, Canada0531 Mar 2018

I booked a couples massage for myself and my boyfriend for his birthday. Jody and Lindsey were both super friendly and explained the service before they started.
The room had a great ambiance- dimly lit and decorated with warm earth tones. They incorporated aromatherapy as well as relaxing spa music.
We were served chocolate chai tea as well as chocolates from a local chocolatier down the street (Chocolat) It's great to see they support the other local businesses as well.
The foot soak consisted of a large copper tub with massaging pebbles on the bottom. Once the initial hot water had cooled a little, Lindsey and Jody came back to top us up with some more hot water.
The massage itself was amazing for both of us- they were very attentive to the areas we said we wanted them to concentrate on and asked for our preferences regarding the firmness of pressure.
The smudge stick they used for the smudging part smelled amazing- it is a ritual that is supposed to be soul cleansing. It added to the aromatherapy factor of the service.
The singing bowl ritual at the end didn't do much for me. It was actually a little disorienting because they would move about the room and chime the bowl.
Overall the experience was great and we would both definitely come back :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan D.Victoria, Canada2237 Feb 2010First to Review
I've sent my wife there about half a dozen times and it has always been good. Also I like seeing the fish in the pond in the entry.
I was particularly impressed a couple of weeks ago. Had to cancel an appointment on short notice because we were taking our son to Emergency (apparently swallowing a shard of jagged plastic seems like a good idea when you are only three). Sapphire didn't charge us, even though they would have been well within their rights to.
So definitely a fan!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Betsy G.Portland, United States52314631 Oct 2012
People are big into reviewing restaurants, but spas don't seem to get the same attention... I was visiting from Portland, so Yelp is my only avenue for checking places out.
The BF and I decided to get a couple's massage. Now, of course there were many available on Craigslist...of the Tantric variety, but that was a little to exotic for us. So we went to Sapphire for the 90 min romance package. They provided us with tea, chocolates, and warm foot soaks before the massage. We had side by side massage tables but there was no hand holding...once the massage started, I pretty much forgot he was even there!
The massage was great. Nothing missed, nothing under or over done.
Ok, the purifying of the air with a smudge pot? That would be something on fire producing smoke? Um...ok. Whatever - if anything, I guess it added to the novelty of it. I DID feel more relaxed, what were they burning in that smudge pot anyways?
Ringing the singing bowl at the end was just nice and also added to the ambiance.
All in all, it was $250 of relaxation and ambiance. Yes, I would do it again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bahaa C.Salt Lake City, United States186215 Aug 2014
Enjoyed the ambiance and friendliness however the customer service could use some freshening up.
I was told a price on the phone, and that both masseuses for our couples massage would be certified. When we got there, only one was certified and there was an extra charge for her. I also specified a female masseuse for myself and a male for my girlfriend, however that's not how it came to be. I mentioned it and they never offered I fix their mistake.
The confusion from booking to actually being there was frustrating, when I'm paying that kind of money and read great reviews, I expect the simple things to go smoothly
I asked for my lower back to be worked on during the one on one consultation, and had listed it as a trouble spot on the form prior to going into the room. Then I mentioned it during the massage as I notice he was only working on my upper back, and yet NO work was done on my lower back!!
Over all, pretty frustrating Experince for something that was supposed to be a relaxing and romantic couples massage.
I hope they can correct these little mistakes for future guests.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
