Went here on a holiday and we were so pleasantly surprised. Delicious sushi, miso, and salads. The tuna tartare is amazing...like nothing I've ever had. Service was great. The place is small but they seated our party of our quickly and served us super fast! A neighborhood gem.

Love this little neighborhood gem. I've bought my glasses at Kaiser or Lenscrafters for years and it was just a breath of fresh air to use a local small business instead. They have a lot of cute frames, the lenses are made quickly and their prices are surprisingly low...check it out!

What's not to love? First-run movies, free popcorn at matinees and a quirky owner. For now, this old movie theater is safe.

Love this place: the site, the length, the tenacity of the other swimmers and the mellowness of the guards. They'll get one more star when they get a handle on cleaning their locker rooms.

grace’s 5-star review:
A five-squirrel review for the dog park loop. My dogs love this park: mostly for the sassy squirrels but also for the big lawn that has something that draws them over to romp. Yes, I've been yelled at by the neighbors because the lawn is not an official off-leash area but, a dogs gotta live a little in this dog ghettoized world (Have you seen the dog park on Linda Street? Where would a self-respecting dog roll around?). The loop between the redwoods & eucalyptus is short but you can take it a couple of times to build up some steam. Oh and I've had my share of happy afternoons at the kids' climbing structure below with a very picnic friendly nearby lawn.

grace’s 5-star review:
The park on either side of the creek is a little spot of "wild" in the heart of Piedmont. My dog gets a little threatened by other dogs on the narrow walkways so the off leash that is permitted just doesn't work for him. But, watching the seasons pass by on the deciduous and flowering trees and watching the dogs frolic near the stream is an exercise in slowing down. Stop, recover from whatever went into the free poop bags, then smell the redwoods and know that this is a beautiful corner of the world. The jungle gym and fountain have provided hours of amusement for my kids...bathrooms have always worked when I've been there. What more can you ask for?

grace’s 5-star review:
YUM. Going in to this place is like stepping back to kindergarten. I always want to don an apron and step into the back so I can just curl up and inhale the smell just a little longer than my brief transaction requires. Free market economists: take heed, the member collective still sometimes works and probably makes a tidy profit off the likes of me.
