When on Monday does BART Parking Police start ticketing overnighted vehicles?

Going forward, I plan on leaving my vehicle at Fremont Bart station after 5pm on Fridays and coming back to get my car on Sunday evenings. Parking should be FREE. However, I also have thought about coming back to pick up my car Monday mornings. Parking on Monday is charged from 4 am to 3 pm. I'm curious if anyone knows when Bart Parking Police actually starts ticketing on Monday mornings for those cars parked overnight. They don't immediately start ticketing at 4 am but what time do they actually start patrolling and ticketing in the morning?

    Thanks!

i would guess 4am, not worth a ticket right?  I do remember that you can pay for long-term parking, read their website to find out how.

Parking on residential parking should be ok, look for sign though if there is any.  Bart parking I would pay for long-term just in case or get car Sun.

So I've tested myself. they don't always immediately ticket in the morning. I ve gone back to Fremont Bart station by 9.30 am Monday morning and didn't find any parking ticket. I've done this twice. there is no guarantee you won't get a ticket in the future but I believe they don't ticket very early in the the morning.

No, that is not true Shane. I've researched this extensively now. I've even called Bart Traffic Police--but they don't call back. I believe they purposely like to keep people guessing and even the wording used on Bart's website is not very explicit. But after 3 pm Friday evening until 2 am Monday morning, parking is FREE and it's completely legal to park there continuously throughout that period. By 4 am Monday morning, you're suppose to have some form of paid parking but Bart Parking Police doesn't seem to patrol that early. But there's no guarantee. Your milage may vary. To be 100% safe, remove your car from the parking lot by 2am Monday morning or pay for parking.

Rick, I don't know if you've been to Fremont Bart station, but their parking lot is quite safe. I don't feel worried at all leaving my car there over the weekend. And I've been doing just that for the past 3 weekends, and also Wednesday nights until Thursday mornings.
