      Any new residents to share their living experience here? Are the facilities still broken? Pool, Hot Tub, Coffee maker? How is management? How is safety? Trying to decide my next move.

      Most facilities are still closed due to COVID, so us residents are not sure. Management is kind in my experience, and generally doing their best, but often requires extensive follow up and the overall level of service is average at best. Definitely… more

      Been living here for another year, and just renewed my lease for another year. I personally really enjoy living here, and Gina from the leasing office has been an incredible 10/10 agent to work with. I currently live in 3bedroom and occupy a parking spot. She's gone above and beyond to help us transfer to 2bedroom (as 1 of the 3 is moving out) and figure out our parking situations. Despite having many tenants to work with, Gina and the leasing office does a great job of keeping their word and doing their best to improve the residents' experiences.

      Beyond the home itself and the leasing, i really enjoy:
      - Pool (i gym every day) & BBQ (usually use it once a month)
      - same block as the bart
      - concierge and protected packages
      - alot of really great food / coffee / bars around
      - right next to lake merritt for a great walk

      I lived in 17th & Broadway for 18 months to September 2023 and had a good experience while I was living there. I was told repeatedly by the staff that I was their "favorite tenant". And while I realize they must say that to everyone, I certainly thought we had good two-way communication.
      Three months after I moved out, I received a bill from a collections agency for over $1,000 in additional charges on my apartment - painting, cleaning, repairs, etc. Despite the fact I was told my apartment was in exceptional move-out condition at the time I left.
      Why these charges were not discussed with me nor a bill sent to me directly, I have no idea. The building still has my phone number, email address and forwarding snail mail address as well. When I learned of the bill, I emailed building management and have received no reply.
      I do not appreciate the impersonal nature of this end to my tenancy. I would warn you not to take the warmth of the building's staff at face value as I did, and to question any open issues. This is not a trustworthy way to manage a property.

      Oh, bless their heart.
      I've been here for two years now. During the pandemic it was lovely, the management and concierge were so accommodating and any work orders were followed up efficiently.

      It's the Town. The noises, the sideshows, etc all come with the territory so if you know, you know. If you think paying a lot of money is going to exempt you from that don't move to downtown Oakland. However, that's not the problem. It's the building itself.

      Maintenance takes forever to get done. And they say it's pet friendly but pets aren't allowed to go on the 6th floor patio or rooftop because of bad pet owners not cleaning up after themselves. Also, the constant glass being broken in the pool/hot tub they're often out of order. That's not the buildings fault, it's always one jerk of a tenant that has too good of a time. The broken windows are also very dangerous and not cleaned up in a timely manner so not only tenants but every pedestrian has to worry about having broken glass all over the floor and coming at you when it's windy and management said it was due to the windstorm but it sounded like gun shots when it happened. My husband is a veteran and knows a gunshot wound when he hears one.
      Don't bother cleaning up after you leave because they will charge you a hefty cleaning/painting fee even if you scrub from top to bottom even after the maintenance man inspects and tells you that you will only have to pay for a partial painting fee. There's a lot of other luxury apartments opening up in Oakland that are cheaper and actually make you feel like it's luxury.

      It has been an awesome move experience to say the least. Everyone has went above and beyond to make sure I was situated and safe. Even with maintenance problems they were handled so quickly. The process to finalize my lease was very seamless and any questions or concerns Gina had a solution.The apartment itself it so cute and everything I could ask for. It's close to anything I could need. Happy to call this place my home.

      This review is regarding the maintenance service I received from Arnold and Anthony. I recently moved into a new unit and there were a few issues with the appliances. With each issue, Arnold and Anthony worked tirelessly to resolve the problem, including replacing my washing machine and fixing a clogged water line. It's great to have such an attentive and diligent maintenance team!

      From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the atmosphere was warm, colorful, and welcoming, which set the tone for a remarkable experience. I was impressed by the outstanding hospitality, meticulous attention to detail, extraordinary apartment homes, and impeccable customer service.
      The hospitality displayed by the staff was nothing short of exceptional. Each member went above and beyond to ensure I was welcomed and appreciated for considering the community my home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with inquiries, questions, concerns, and pushback did not go unnoticed. Most apartment communities treat these tours like a transaction, and they have to persuade the client to sign a lease that might've been earned through deceitfulness. Gina explained how the concessions were applied, how to qualify for a home and the application process. Just that attention alone built the trust I needed to secure my next home; there was no second-guessing or confusion felt during the process. This team has good ethics, integrity, and compassion for its residents.
      The apartment homes themselves were a testament to luxury and style. Spacious, well-designed, and equipped with modern amenities, they provided a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The attention to detail in the interior design showcased a commitment to creating a living space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
      Customer service played a pivotal role in my positive experience. The staff's responsiveness, professionalism, and eagerness to promptly address concerns reflected a dedication to resident satisfaction. "I noticed the pride and care for the property when Sunny, the Manager, fixed things out of place and reported an imperfection in the building." So this showed me that things will be noticed and documented in the building.
      As a prospect considering this property, my visit left me thoroughly satisfied. The combination of exceptional hospitality, attention to detail, extraordinary apartment homes, and top-notch customer service has convinced me that this is a place worth calling home. Their genuine care for the well-being of residents set this property apart from others I have visited.
      The building amenities were nothing short of impressive, offering a wide range of options for relaxation and recreation. Every aspect was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, from fitness centers to communal spaces. Additionally, the breathtaking views of the Oakland area and San Francisco Bay from specific vantage points within the property added an extra layer of charm. I wholeheartedly recommend that others visit and experience this property's unparalleled charm and elegance. I want to welcome the new manager, Sunny and welcome him to the Bay Area, Assistant Manager Gina Wong, and Leasing Agent Erica.

      It takes multiple tries to get anyone in management to return messages. Security in the building is abysmal and it takes actual crimes to be committed in the building before anyone in management pays attention to security lapses. I have lived in much older buildings that didn't have nearly the level of things being out of order - the elevators, the garage doors, the pool heater, the billiards table, the EV charging stations - to the degree that it has become a running joke when residents are chatting in common areas. We were warned that any tenant requests require a call or email numerous times before anyone in management even answers or returns a message. So true. The line is always the same: "Thanks for your feedback but the vendors will be onsite soon to make repairs". We are told that the issues are due to wear and tear but it is ridiculous that a luxury 3 year old building could have so many issues so often. The art in the bicycle room is incredibly offensive to women.

      All review sites get the same response: "We are sorry about your unpleasant experience. Please know the office is always available to take your call and it is our duty to work with you to resolve any issues you may have. We want all neighbors to enjoy living here at 17th & Broadway Apartments. If any further issues should arise, please contact us at 17thandbroadway@livelmc.com"

      Well guess what? The office is NOT always available- the office is locked and nobody actually works there - you have to either email repeatedly or leave VM messages and then wait, and wait, and wait, until someone finally gets back to you sometime days later. If they actually have a duty to resolve issues, they either don't take that duty seriously or they just don't care because NOTHING seems to ever get done. Let's wait and see their response to this review

      Quiet building with excellent apartments and amenities. The roof deck is the best view in Oakland from downtown and can't be missed. The staff has been amazing to me, I've never had anyone as good as Erica & Gina in the leasing office and Tatiana at the front desk. Maintenance issues are few and far between but dealt with promptly. Had an excellent 2 years here and looking forward to many more.

      We've lived in a couple newer buildings in the area and 17th and Broadway has FAR exceeded our expectations. We've been jaded by management teams in the past who are impossible to work with and make you feel like you live in dorms when paying Bay Area rent. One example that comes to mind is in one building during Christmas time, we received notice that having a wreath on our door is in violation of our lease and would therefore be fined. (like what?!)

      The management here, is absolutely fantastic. They are all so responsive, helpful, understanding and overall so incredibly friendly. They constantly keep the building in great, clean condition. The lobby is always secured and decorated during the fun times of the year with regular tenant events throughout the year.

      As a bonus, the building is built very well compared to others in the area. You don't hear your neighbors to the sides or above and below. Highly recommend!

      If you are looking for luxury and all the amenities that come with it then this is the building for you. Keep in mind; the average income for people who live this this place is very high so that is the kind of clientele. You can tell so just by driving through the parking structure. All floors are very clean, immaculacy kept grounds and common spaces. All COVID precautions taken.

      I have been searching for an apartment for a few months now and I have looked all over. With rent prices dropping I decided to go for the top of the line. I was greeted by Nancy Garcia. She was so friendly and professional. I was pleasantly surprised on how informative she was and answered every single one of my questions ( I had a ton). The parking is a bit high but after taking into account all the amenities it all evens out. I have looked at SO MANY places and this by far is the best of the best.

      I like the double stacked washers in the apartments. Its SUPER quiet too. Cant hear anything!

      Literally everything you need right in the heart of Uptown Oakland. Highly recommended!
