This isn't a review for the cheap ass hat stands. This is a review for the bratwurst stand.

There are eclectic reasons I love this city and this is one of them. I needed a quick snack late and there was a beacon of light coming from the bratwurst stand where this homeslice was cookin' up bratwurst in an elf costume and what appeared to be, if my eyes deceived me not, leiderhosen. Not just any bratwurst. Good bratwurst.

New York City. I friggin' love you.

After walking by the German sausage guy for the past month, I had to stop and get one today.

He offers a variety of different bratwurst...original, spicy, chicken...all served on a roll with sauerkraut. You can also add German ketchup or German mustard. $6.00 each and they are a decent size.

He's only there until January 4 and then he's going back to Germany he said. He'll be back in April for the NYC street fairs.

German sausage guy at work. Different options of bratwurst available...so good. Only here until Jan 4.
Original bratwurst with sauerkraut and German mustard. $6.00. SO GOOD.

Holiday Markets add to the sparkle of the holiday season. This particular one sprang up in early December in the parking lot of 46th Street and 8th Avenue.I couldn't help swinging by on my way to work.I barely had few minutes to spare but couldnt resist the temptation of checking out the stores.

There were a bunch of stores selling cutesy, handmade, artsy, local stuff like mittens, scarves, hats, jewelry, etc.Thats the whole beauty of these holiday markets. There were also this shop right at the entrance selling crepes(strawberry and banana, nutella, reese etc) and waffles. This one particular store selling colored stone and silver jewelry had big chunky pieces for like 5 bucks.I grabbed few for christmas presents for the girls in the office. They were a steal..But overall I found the shops kinda of overpriced.$30 for a pair of handmade but soo ordinary looking mittens and $25 for a picture frame with a manhattan skyline.

This market must have done well due to its proximity to the times square and the broadway theatres and must have been very alluring to the tourists too.Its a nice holiday feeling visiting these markets with kids and its also helps support the local artisans and businesses. Its also a great place to pick up your holidays gifts as most of the items are quite unique
