I've been to Joe's Pho a handful of times throughout the years and never wrote a review.

Two years ago, I took my family who were visiting from Hawaii to try their Bun Bo Hue when my aunt, uncle and cousin said this was the best BBH they ever had.

I agree- I've been to lots of restaurants for BBH and realized last night that this blazin' hot bowl of BBH hit the spot!

I called in around 9:30pm knowing they close at 10 to ask what time the kitchen closed since I really like dining in for any noodle soup. The nice lady on the phone answered with "10 o' clock!" So I asked if that meant coming in at 9:45pm meant I can still dine in and she said yes! Besides the awesome service & food, they actually close the kitchen at the time they close the restaurant.. unlike other disappointing restaurants that close their kitchen 15-30 mins before closing! They kept insisting we take our time even though we were there past 10pm still finishing up.

Lovely service & bomb BBH !!!! I always ask for pho noodles instead of the original fat vermicelli noods- tastes so much better! Soup is more on the spicy side so be prepared to ask for refills on your water! They have variety styles of BBH depending what meats you want in your soup.

Had a veggie dish that was so large couldn't finish it. Good amount of herbs and fresh veggies. The stuffed fried tofu was good too. Enjoyed the extra dessert at the end.

Service was good, but was weird when he waiter asked if there was any problems. I'd suggest they don't ask it that way.

Great location, good service and great food.
Has spacious parking lots, and very chill vibe.
Portion could be a bit larger than expected but it was not hard to take it home. Has a boba place inside which you can also order after your meal.

Scrumptious! I am definitely returning to Joe's Pho. Not only is the inside of the restaurant beautiful and able to seat large parties but the food and service were on point. The staff was super attentive and helpful in answering my questions regarding the dishes. I was part of a big party of 15 and we had a pleasant experience with no problems with our order accuracy.

All dishes were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the banh mi pork sandwich and tried the other dishes ordered including the chicken pho, Korean rib rice plate, and Vermicelli chicken bowl.

Hadn't been here in a while. Came back - menu is revamped with nice photos of the food, tons of drinks to choose from. Noodle bowls are flavorful, lots of meat (good quality, tender), you can sub different noodles for an extra $1 (so worth it). At the end of our meal, they gave us a complimentary sticky rice dessert.
I wouldn't give 5 stars if we were in L.A., but I think it's fair for the bay area. I don't think Joe's is perfect by any means, but I always leave satisfied and it beats having to cook at home. Vietnamese-approved.

Went here today for a friends (family) birthday lunch. This is a favorite place of their's to eat. I personally am not a huge fan of Pho. The food all looked good, I ordered grilled pork Bahn Mi and was expecting pork loin perhaps I should have order the pork belly. The flavor was good didn't really like the preparation of the pork would have preferred thin sliced loin to be fair I would give them 4 stars based on my friends love of this place. I would give my meal a 3.5 stars to be fair.

My group of 4 and I found this place on a whim, and we were all happy about our choice! We came around 6pm on a Saturday and we were seated immediately, even though it was pretty busy, the seating area was pretty spacious. Someone working definitely likes TS because that was what was playing majority of the time hahah

They gave out shrimp chips as appetizers and it was a nice surprise and so yummy (wasn't stale at all)! I ordered the:
      - BBH1 Tradtional BBH: i'm pretty picky abt my BBH and i thought it was pretty good here! The soup was flavorful, not too spicy but there's chili oil on the side if you want more if a kick! Everything hit the spot.. The only thing I was sad about was that there wasn't any pork blood :'(

When i'm around the area again, I'd definitely want to come back and try other things off the menu because i've never seen such a long list of different kinds of BBH and spring rolls!

I was in the area after coming to a gym here, so my friends and I decided to walk over here for dinner. The place is huge and the ambiance doesn't exactly remind me of a pho place, but it's very lively!

I really enjoyed the complimentary shrimp chips because you don't see these too often in restaurants. Be careful because they're addicting to eat! For dinner, I tried the P1 Special Combination Pho ($19.95) -- I didn't want to be basic, but decided that I was in the mood for something classic and pho is always a good baseline to gauge against other Vietnamese places too.

The large is humongous and can easily be split between multiple people, which would be worth it because the food is slightly expensive. Overall, pho was good but it wasn't my favorite. I wish there had been more veggies, meat a bit more tender, and broth more flavorful. I also felt incredibly thirsty after so there may have been some MSG.

The service was attentive, but there was a slight language barrier that caused some confusion for my friend trying to order vegetarian options. My other friend also got a pork patty and egg roll salad bowl, but didn't receive any egg rolls and the waiter didn't believe us until we pulled out the menu (and then proceeded to just give 1 haha).

Towards closing time, they also gave us complimentary desserts, which was a pandan sticky rice with taro. It was delicious and not too sweet! I would probably try other places in San Leandro if I was in the area again, but would come back if I was craving Vietnamese here.

Pricing on the high side but it pays for the loud music and blinking lights in the indoor part of the facility. Food is on point the fish cake crunchy snacks while waiting for your order is a good touch but not sure where it came from. :)

Been going here for awhile now and they are consistent and staff is friendly. They add 10% on your bill right away so please do not be surprised.

Today I ordered just one appetizer for a late lunch, the deep fried shrimp egg roll and yes prices nowadays are higher, it Cost me $14.56 plus I added $1 more on top of the automatic 10% they add on each bill.

Yes just one order of the yummy egg roll.

Sauce haven! You name it, they got it.
Love their piping hot crispy egg rolls.

Me and +1 came for egg rolls appetizer at Joe's Pho Original. We were so happy they are not shy about their sauces. Mango, pineapple, peanut sauces, you name it, they got it. Most importantly, piping hot egg rolls with the right viscosity that toddlers can't lift sticky napkins off the table without ripping them. That's sauce thickness.

We came first thing at the minute they opened. The music was loud but there were no customers. So it was private. We liked it private.

Service was excellent. It was confusing since it was our first visit but they were accommodating and very kind and helpful to us. The servers helped us to tell us the special offers and deals they were offering with the drinks even if we didn't ask. I thought it was very generous of them. We liked the service. We didn't think of it very much, but we ended up taking the second drink later on, and the server made sure that the cashier included the discount on our check. So, I thought that was going on an extra mile for the service.

I would definitely come back again for the appetizer, foods, ambiance, and service.

A little later, more families joined after church service. Apparently returning customers.

We ordered ribs pho. It was generous portion. It was delicious, good quality. It was pricey too.

We also ordered beef stew with Banh. I could say of similar quality. It was delectable, good quality, generous portion. It was pricey. Good ingredients. Well seasoned.
