A & B Trailer Hitch

I did a bunch of research for my 2017 Subaru Outback as I wanted a trailer hitch installed for a bike rack. I contacted Rack N Road in Marin and they wanted me to let them have my car for 5 hours. Note I live in San Francisco. I did an internet search and found A & B and talked to Robert twice. Once to confirm their price and product and the fact I wanted the under bumper hidden hitch and the second time to confirm their address (as they moved the hitch installs to Belmont). I booked a reservation and Mario took care of me right on time. Robert had said it would be 2 hours and Mario suggested a cafe down the block. I was happy to see he was finishing up on a Subaru Cross-Trek. While paying my breakfast bill my phone rang and it was Mario telling me car was ready. It took a total of 37 minutes! This was unbelievable as I expected to have to figure out how to kill 2 hours. Needless to say the hitch looks great. The price was way better than anyone else and the installation by Mario was outstanding. Call them and don't waste your time with the "other guys" as they are all about marketing. PS, I watched the YouTube video on the installation and it was only 8 minutes long with an actual install time of 18 minutes. So if you want great pricing, a faster installation, call them, you will not be disappointed.

This is the second time, I got my hitch from A&B Trailer hitch. I was getting a Stealth Hitch installed and A&B is the cheapest places among the 3 places (Rack N Road, Eyers Hitch Center) I checked. The hitch was the same price as. you would get online and the installation labor was $390.

Again, everything was done through text. Robert scheduled the appointment, gave me an accurate quote and had everything done in 2 hours. This time they started charging credit card fees which wasn't communicated through our text conversation. Since Robert wasn't on site when I visited them, they couldn't explained the price discrepancy. However, once I reached to Robert the following day, he quickly refunded me the fees.

I needed to get my Audi Q5 tow ready ASAP & called around the Bay Area to get it done. I drove 2 hours away to get this installation done & I'm definitely returning for any other towing needs in the future. Robert & Mario got me in and did amazing work in a timely manner! Very knowledgeable & just good guys. Also, appreciate Mario for explaining the basics of towing (as it's our first time towing). Thank you!

Mario is great to work with and well deserving of his high reviews.
He installs hitches on Fridays and it took just under an hour. Go to Starbucks while you wait. Texted him to schedule and the install is great. I can see why people come from all around to have him work on their hitches and trailers.

My husband was looking to get a hitch installed on our Subaru so that he can put a bike rack on it. His biking friend got his hitch installed at A&B hitch and recommended it.

Their website didn't work, so my husband called the phone number listed on the Yelp page. Their voicemail said we could text them. So we were able to book an appointment through text.

We dropped off our car and Mario was able to install it in about an hour while we waited at the nearby Starbucks. The installed hitch is good quality and reasonably priced. Mario was nice and friendly. We've been using the hitch for our bike rack and it's been great!

This business is amazing. Will be giving them my business anytime I can. There attention to detail and deep domain knowledge makes them the go to source.

Robert was very patient in answering all my questions for over a week without any pressure to have my hitch done right away. He was able to accommodate my desired day and time. Mario was able to install the hitch in less than 30 minutes. The hitch seems installed solid. All in all I am highly satisfied. This business is highly recommended!

I bought a Curt trailer hitch and got it installed here. A&B was the first one to reply among 3 shops I texted. The quote was reasonable and could make an appointment immediately on next day. Mario did not know about the appointment when I went there next day. The person texted with me did not tell him about the appointment. But he accommodated and installed it in an hour and texted me. A straightforward and pleasant service.

It's been on my to-do list to get a hitch for our SUV. A&B came highly recommend and so glad I came here. I called and got Bob on the phone and he was able to squeeze me in during that week. I met with Jose who's a super cool guy and explained what I needed and in less than two hours, my hitch was installed including wiring as I plan to tow a small camping trailer. Love that A&B also have all the parts here that you need for all your towing needs. You can pull right in and park inside their shop which is fantastic. Definitely highly recommend A&B if you're looking for a full service hitch installation and more. I'll be coming back again to take advantage of their excellent service when I get my camping trailer.
