They were able to get my system fixed when the other big brands in town didn't. I had a big name company clean our primary drain twice and didnt fix the problem. I also paid $550 for the big name company to clean our coil and they didn't even clean the coil entirely and it caused more problems than before. A Cool Air came by and diagnosed the problem quickly. A Cool Air cleaned the coil and unclogged the primary drain, fixing the system for about half of what the big name company charged. I definitely recommend A Cool Air since they came to fix a problem right the first time and didn't try to sell me a $15k plus A/C system that is working fine.

Show up on time. Easy talk to guy and knows what's going on with my AC. Fixed it on the first time. I glad I got him.

I hired this company 12 years ago to replace the AC in my rental property. Tenant reported last week AC was leaking so i called them I knew it wouldn't be under any warranty. They came out and only cleaned the P trap and left quickly. Tenant said they were only there about 10 minutes and did not run diagnostics and fully inspect the system like they should have based on the $150.00 bill I got.
Tenant went to turn it on two days later and it wouldn't turn on. Took several days and a couple messages to get a response and appointment. In the meantime tenant bought a new thermostat and replaced it but it still didnt work. When A Cool air came out again they said the thermostat was wired wrong which caused the fuse to blow and thats why it wouldn't turn on. They refused to believe or listen to the tenant that the AC wasn't working before that and they didnt fix it right in the first visit. Its quite possible the fuse was already blown or minimally there was another issue they failed to repair since they didnt bother to check the whole system on the first visit which resulted in having to return.
The young fellow who seemed new to the business replaced the fuse and wired the thermostat correctly and it now works. I got a bill for $250. It listed the fuse replacement at $150. A 15amp AC fuse cost $4.00 at Home Depot and they charged a diagnostic fee of $70 when that should have been waived since it wasn't fixed right the first time nor properly inspected on the first visit. When I complained about the price gouging they did lower the total bill by $30.00 which I appreciate but it still left a bad impression how they handled this especially for a returning customer that spent thousands of dollars with them to install the system.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - N S.Natomas, Sacramento, CA12733Aug 14, 2023
I used these folks for my parents heater issue last year and they were able to remedy the issue. FF to last week, my sister's AC went out. I contacted them at night and they were able to come out first thing and fix the issue. Artem was great and provided great service. Thanks again!

I liked the representative but the company isn't on the list for SMUD. I need the rebates so i can afford the new heat pump. He was very polite and understanding about this.

Hi Anita,
Thank you for your comment. We are on the SMUD list from 2020. So all rebates and incentives apply toward your project. Vasiliy - David L.Milpitas, CA431020Aug 13, 2022
We had an emergency compressor outage (outside unit) mid-week and they were kind enough to squeeze our repair in before the weekends. Without that repair, we would have a very different weekend at home (upward of 100+ degrees here). We were so glad they made our weekend much more enjoyable at home without the high heat.
Special thanks to Valerie for her excellent communication as well as Artem (the tech that showed up and fixed our compressor), for his professionalism and we especially appreciate the fact that he gave me a call when he's about 30 mins away from my house so I can prep the place ready, put the dog away, come back home from work, etc.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jared L.Vacaville, CA2164Apr 19, 2023
Quick to respond with a quote and scheduling. They were able to come out next day and fixed the issue.

Peter and Vasiliy are friendly, great communications, professional, intelligent, fair priced, and knowledgeable. Peter went beyond the normal service to make sure our one unforeseen problem was very promptly solved after the install. Although paid in full, Peter stands by his and his employees' work. Many companies desert you after being paid but you can relax knowing that Peter will promptly take care of any and all issues if needed. A Cool Air also used the best and highly recommended product, Trane, with a great warranty on both parts and labor. We have had our new unit for about a month of very hot weather and love the more quiet humming of our new unit. Great service and price are just two important reasons to hire A Cool Air for your A/C needs.

Special thanks to Artem (HVAC Tech) and Valerie for their excellent communication and positive friendly attitudes. The repairs went swimmingly and the price point was fair in my opinion. Definitely continuing to use A Cool Air as my go to for my HVAC needs. Thanks again!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 22, 2022Previous reviewIt looks like it's time to update my reviews with the current experience with A Cool Air. To date, I've exclusively utilized this business for my HVAC needs. Communication is a significant contributor to how I review the business/experience/etc. I totally understand that it's summertime, we are experiencing a string of 100+ degree days. From my experience being able to respond to or at least acknowledge hundreds of emails daily, it can be challenging to stay on top of things. Prioritizing and organizing, etc is so important to be successful. Understandably, in recent days, the interaction with A Cool Air has not been as it used to be, and again, I understand they are probably very busy and so have I. Schedules need to jive so to speak. Needing my AC in this heat sure doesn't help. I could have scheduled with another service provider but like I said earlier, I think A Cool Air deserves first shot. They have been a proven entity historically speaking. Vasiliy and Valerie have been excellent at servicing my needs to date and I look forward to more excellent service from their tech as well. This is why you guys are my "go to" for HVAC! Thank you!
Aug 4, 2020Previous reviewHaving an AC unit that is old can be challenging. Lucky for me, I have A Cool Air to provide support. That intro sounds like an ad lol. Seriously, I've been going with A Cool Air for the last four years and they have not disappointed me. Excellent communication through messaging and in person. Professional friendly and most importantly I trust this business with my HVAC. Vasiliy was my tech this morning and he was on time, friendly, professional....which is consistent with this business. Could be part of their corporate values which I'd consider part of running a successfsul business. Look at all of the other reviews. These guys hit it out of the park every time. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks for saving me from the heat...again! :)
Dec 3, 2016Previous reviewI reached out to 15 different HVAC contractors in the Sacramento area. The bottom line, the only contractor with the most effective communication, responsiveness and excellent customer service was A Cool Air. Additionally, the price they quoted was the most competitive and did not change! I highly recommend Vasiliy, Peter and Leo with A Cool Air for any of your HVAC needs. If they continue with doing business with integrity, I'm sure they will continue to succeed. Thank you.
Nov 25, 2016Previous reviewWe had an issue with our furnace which we identified to be the inducer blower. We initially scheduled an appointment through Bell Brothers for their tune-up "special" to verify what our suspicions were which were correct. Bell quoted us over $1500.00 to replace the part! After shopping around and reviewing the Yelp reviews, we put a quote out to 9 possible HVAC contractors. We opted not to choose Bell since we already had their exorbitantly high quote.
Within a few days the choice was obvious. The excellent communication with Vasiliy and Peter was great. The price was even better. A fraction of the Bell quote and better pricing than the other 8 contractors.
Leo was the tech which came out and replaced/repaired our furnace. It's purring like a kitten now! Leo was great too. He arrived on time, was nice and professional. We're very happy with A Cool Air and I expect you'll be too! I doubt you'll get a better result anywhere else.
