A Cozy Chimney

Eli came out to clean and inspect my fireplace and Chimney. He was very knowledgeable in his expertise and advised that the fireplace and Chimney did not need a cleaning after all. He also let me know that the top of my Chimney needs some repairs and gave a quote for it. I would recommend him to anyone in the area that is in need of fireplace and Chimney services.

They responded very quickly and kept me informed throughout the process. They did an amazing job. I didn't even think I would be able to use my gas fireplace and thought I would have to get a new unit, but A Cozy chimney and their contractors were able to fix it. I would definitely recommend A Cozy Chimney if you have any issues with you fireplace

I called to schedule a time for a quote to replace a chimney cap. I spoke to a helpful lady from their office who told me that this typically costs $300, but it depends on size so a technician would call me to schedule a time to take a look.

Eli, a technician called me and quoted $3000 for custom crown cap based on a picture I texted him. I asked how he could make such a determination without any measurements and that I found similar prefabricated ones on sale online for around $300. He implied that's the normal going rate.

He offered that to save money, since there's no active fireplace attached, I could pay $1500 to fill it with concrete instead. This was all without a site visit. I live in an old 100-year-old house with 2 chimneys. This one is used to ventilate our kitchen hood. So obviously this was not an option.

I received 2 other quotes for custom crowns in the $1000 range so this company is charging approximately 3X the normal rate.

Whole process went smoothly. Took a lot of built up creosote out of our chimney flue. Did a good job of keeping the dust down, and cleaned up afterwards.

Eli helped us with a fireplace inspection for a nominal fee and provided a detailed copy of a quote with all the issues and cost to fix it. He was very responsive with setting up an appointment and with questions post inspection. We worked with him to setup a new chimney cap and to clean our chimney crown. He was willing to come in on another day to do part of the job due to bad weather and the mortar potentially not drying. A detailed invoice with images was provided post job completion. Very professional, responsive and accommodative business to work with.

Cozy chimney i found on google...they promptly came and surveyed my moms house. The prices were reasonable and the team was very accommodating for my mom. Work was done timely and clean. Would highly recommend them for all your chimney needs.

Our Chimney started leaking a week ago. A Cosy Chimney came out to assess the leak and charged us a deposit for replacing the crown. They tarped the Chimney after removing the existing crown and told us they would let us know when they can have the new one in.

There was a huge storm 3 days ago and the tarp is now leaking. We let them know asap since the leak is now worst than before. The technician told us that they would come out 2 days ago and texted and apology for not coming out. We called their office and was told that no one put a ticket in and to wait. When the technician finally texted us, it was to tell us that he cannot come out.

Still waiting on an answer now, this is unacceptable...

Terrible service.

Tech canceled our first appointment the morning of, then no-showed to the rescheduled second appointment. When I called the company to figure out what was going on, they had no record of our appointment (confirmation photos attached) but said they would have someone call ASAP. Another tech called and said they would arrive that night 4-430PM. They called at 515PM saying they wanted to come the following day instead.

The tech finally actually shows up, proceeds to look at our fireplace and says it will be $399 to clean it instead of the original $229 cleaning fee we were quoted. As we discussed why this was the case (because of a crack that has been there for years and others have cleaned with no problem...) the tech had the nerve to say "you need to decide what to do because I have other clients waiting"... after THEY kept us waiting for 2 days with missed/canceled appointments.

When I refused the service, they charged me $69 for their "inspection". They also quoted us $1600 to repair some cracks, which is insanity. I called another service who came and cleaned the fireplace without trying to upcharge, did a great job, and gave us repair estimates at half the price of what this company offered.

I booked this company because of all the great reviews, but don't be fooled, they are awful.

Eli was great. He communicated with my tenants and myself in a timely manner. He kept me updated on any issues that would arise and any changes they had to make repairs and the install. The new fireplace is great!

My tenants had nothing but good things to say about Eli.

Like many others in the California storms, we discovered our chimney was leaking. I had already replaced the fireplaces with electric ones, so I wanted the chimney to be capped off.

Also like others, there were some communication issues with A Cozy Chimney and they were not super fast to resolve my issue, but I'm sure they had a lot of business in March from the storms.

In the end, they did repair my chimney, which was complicated by being on a two story building, in a 30 year old house, with an issue created by the original builder. I got a shiny new custom metal cap and stucco and paint done, and I think you'll agree, it looks great. Highly recommend from a quality of work PoV.
