A To B Moving

Highly NOT recommended. We got in the bad end with strata thanks to A to B Moving & Freight. We booked the elevators between 1 - 4 pm. We even told A to B that is the moving slot. A to B marked on their instructions in several places. Strata is very strict about the rules. This is an apartment building we are moving out of. They showed up at 9 pm. Yes 9 hours late of the original booking time. No apologies. A to B said they have experience with moving. I don't think so!

They should either have proper estimates or planning or better management. This is unacceptable. An hour late, I get but 9 hours late is extreme.
The move happened between 9 pm to 1 am. Yes it ended at 1 am. This is an apartment building and it causes lot of disturbance to other tenants as well. Their movers thinks the world evolves around them. No considerations to other tenants.

I don't recommend using this company. Great now we are going for a hearing with strata thanks to A to B Moving & Freight.

A to B Moving & Freight is the WORSE moving company that you can deal with.

I booked A to Be moving thinking it would be a good idea to get some extra help. it wasn't a big move, just from Alberta to victoria. Now here's the deal, they arrived to my condo in Alberta and told me i looked like i belonged in a shack, anyways i laughed it off and moved on. big Al opened the back of the truck and walked away; I go to place my new top of the line pink and yellow bed frame in the truck but the truck is halfway filled with portable toilets, to make matters worse when i place my frame down a minor jumps out and screams "FORNITE FOR LIFE DUDES" and knocks over a toilet ON TO MY NEW BED FRAME. Big Al told me it was my fault for scaring his brother who has some condition? I wasn't even listening i was just screaming about my pink and yellow bed frame that was now brown. I feel like this says enough.

So very happy with this company!! I only needed two men and Mark and Bob were great!! They were professional, courteous, efficient and took great care with my furniture! I moved to a storage room and Mark organized the furniture expertly, lined the floor with cardboard and left enough room for me to get to the boxes if I needed to!

They were, hands down, the best movers I've ever used and I've made international moves as well, so I've had my share of moving experiences.

When move into my new condo, I will be using them again!

So, I'm sitting in my apartment and it's a nice day for a change. I open the window to let in some air and the most prominent sound I can hear is one of the A to B movers dropping f-bombs like crazy while he helps his co-worker load up a "We Pack & Store" shipping container.

There are children in this building and that type of behaviour is totally unacceptable from any company.

We're moving in a few months and I will not be considering A to B if that's the kind of people who they employ.

I moved from Edmonton to Vancouver on September 6, 2016.

To search for moving companies, I looked at website design, Google search placement, Yelp reviews, the Better Business Bureau, Facebook, Homestars, etc.

I settled with atobmoving.

I had a rough idea of what price to expect (no hidden fees).
That final price was close to the estimate from the calculator.

They have Better Business Bureau accreditation.

The other 2 Print Media sponsors were Times Colonist and CTV News.

Aside from the seemingly positive reviews, they were the only ones that are very attentive and detailed in emails.
Some companies stopped replying, weren't precise, and/or gave oddly low estimates.

I had some general questions for atobmoving on November 2015.
I emailed again on July 2016, and my previous information was remembered.

I mostly corresponded with Meesh Vincent (now Meesh Pimlott?).

Meesh answered all my questions, and was very considerate.

Daniel did some slick one-handed duct-taping with the moving blankets.
The other movers were cordial and great.

Another company that is mentioned on Reddit is Highland Moving, but I never found them, and contacted them in my initial search.
Make sure you do your own thorough research (e.g. I think that some of the Google business reviews for moving companies and in general could be fake).
I'm sure that the majority of moving companies would get the job done, but atobmoving was the only company that far stood out in terms of email communication and conduct, which is one of the first impressions.

DONT HIRE!!! RIP OFF!!! I had hired them to get a bed suite moved from surrey to victoria paid them almost 900 in total. you would think if someone is paying this much money that u would get excellent service. Due to a miscommunication one item was left behind and when i called the driver he said he doesnt have room in the truck and will take it next week. Called the manager to set up a date and time and hes telling me i have to pay extra beacuse the driver did have room even tho i have told there wasnt any room Even tho the $900 we already paid included the mattress to get delivered. Manager was so rude and not professional at all. They wont refund me for the item that didnt get delivered or deliver instead asking us for more money.They rip you off and dont deliver the service thats promised.

This is the first time that I've hired movers, but I've got to say, all future moves (should they not be with this company) will be rated on a scale of 0 to A To B Moving!

We didn't have a whole lot of stuff, but the two fellas that assisted us (whose names currently escape me - sorry!) where absolutely fantastic. Our old place was empty within a half hour, and our new place was filled in a half hour! They were very efficient, professional, and careful.

Top marks for Gerry and his team for a stellar move from Victoria to Edmonton. They came in and packed and loaded EVERYTHING in an incredibly careful but quick/efficient manner, then did the reverse on arrival in Edmonton - moved everything in and unpacked/restored things to drawers, cupboards, etc.

The fellas were very polite, accommodating, and professional. Definitely would use these guys again and recommend them without question!!

I chose due to Yelp recommendations. Phone call arrangements were professional. Of three companies contacted they were the cheapest. I turned down extra insurance as the move was one white loveseat. I paid extra for shrink wrap. Item arrived damaged due to several oil drops and dirty handprints. Shrink wrapping was not done with care. Reduction offered on bill was unsatisfactory. Filed claim with Better Business Bureau who stated that price reduction was within range. Professionally cleaning planned for this week for an additional substantial cost and inconvenience and with no guarantee. I can't recommend, nor will I use again.

You won't need another mover - ever. These guys have done 3 moves for me.
They're as good as it gets when it comes to moving day.
