Super friendly customer service and the job well done! It was fast and I took a lot of clothes for dry cleaning.

I was looking to get my pants hemmed and found this place with great reviews so I stopped by one day. I got there around 1 pm but it was closed so I left and went there again about an hour later.
She greeted me with 'Can you come back tomorrow?'

And I was like 'are you closed?'

She said 'No, but I am busy' so I told her I came by earlier but you were closed and now you asked me to come back again? She said it was lunch time which was understandable but now she tried to reject me saying that she was so busy....so I was so upset and going to leave then she reluctantly asked me what I wanted to do ....... I said get my pants hemmed and she took it.

She said it would be ready in 2 weeks and I was like woww but I was ok with it since I was not in a hurry.

Today I went there again and the minute she saw me......

Without any 'Hi, how are you?' She said
CAN YOU COME BACK TOMORROW?

Ok I was like 'Dejavu!' And I responded ok

She said YEAH COME BACK TOMORROW.

My answer was
' OK I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK EVER AGAIN!!!!'

Am I asking you to do for free? If you are too busy,
1. Hire another person or
2. Close one more day in order to be able to finish all the work!

Well please note that you are not the only alteration spot in town and you are not the best one anyway.

Now I just found SMART CLEANERS in the village not too far from this and she was much nicer, more polite and the price was reasonable.

What a horrible experience! I wish I could give 0 star.

My Wife Was in Tears

My wife went to drop off several items and get an opinion on their ability to clean some others. Heads up, their advertised deal of getting a percentage off when you drop off 10 items is riddled with exceptions. For that and sentimental reasons my wife was hesitant to drop off the Hanbok (traditional Korean fancy dress) that she wore at our wedding. The staff member pushed and pressured her to drop it off and let them clean, with lots of assurances they knew what they were doing with the delicate item.

On pick up, a prominent section of embroidery had bled, marring the white fabric obviously. This was initially passed off with a shrug and suggestion that, "nobody will notice." As my wife balked, the lady offered to discount on the charge for that one, now ruined item. Only after my wife became visibly emotional did she decide to not charge for that item, though she did still ring up full price for the other $200 worth of cleaning, such as it was. As for the other items, the only significant stain on my similar outfit was essentially untouched, no improvement.

The conclusion was a glib statement that they had "learned their lesson" and would no longer attempt to clean similar articles, which was a funny thing to add after the earlier assurances that they were professionals in this area.

Disappointed with the quality of work.
Appalled with the initial plan to just wave off the damage and charge full price.
Not impressed with the "graciousness" of not charging us for the privilege of having them ruin a sentimental piece of clothing.

Thank you Mrs Kim for repairing my jacket. Mrs Kim did a high quality repair without resorting to patches (her high standards) and kept the original style of the clothing intact. That takes a lot of skill.
This jacket is pretty unique design (they don't make it this style anymore) and now will continue to be with me on my travels in the future.
I am glad she is a part of the community, and makes the neighborhood a better place.

(Btw, don't listen to the bad reviews - Mrs Kim is a nice hard working owner)

Quoted me $60 per pants hem (just simple cloth pant leg, no bells or whistles), found another tailor 10 minutes away who quoted me $20 and did a perfect job. Was responsive to calls but I can't justify paying 3x for such a simple procedure.

Fantastic place to go. They have done patch work, buttons, zippers, letting things out as well as in.

So glad I found this place years ago.

The absolute WORST service ever. I'm not one to post but when I feel the need to Inform people I do.
I gave it one star due to not having any negative start ratings available. My husband and I took BRAND NEW 100% wool pants to be dry cleaned. Not sure what they did but they shrunk them. When we spoke to the lady there in charge she tried to say it was a manufacturer issue when clearly my husband tried them on and they fit perfect before taking them there. We tried to explain to her but she kept brushing us off not admitting fault. We have been dry cleaning 100% wool pants for 25 years at other dry cleaners and NEVER had a problem. We take it here and they managed to ruin 3 pairs. DO NOT take to your clothes here. If they ruin your clothes they will not take accountability for their errors. Save yourself the headache of dealing with her and the time by going elsewhere.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES FOR ANY SERVICE. The lady will act like she don't understand what your complaining about and tell you it's not their fault.
The worst experience ever. They do not appreciate their customers. Not sure how they are still in business when they ruin clothing and take no accountability for their errors!

I went in needing an alteration and a hem for my bridesmaid dress. She altered the shoulder and said that I didn't need a hem on the bottom. She said that because she is altering the shoulder, it lifts the bottom of the dress. She cared more about me saving money. There was no need to hem the bottom. She told me that it would have cost me over $100 because it would be a double layer hem on the bottom. Thank you so much for everything.

Ms. Sarah works very hard to care for her customers. Her suit alterations are excellent and her business is a welcomed asset to Castro Valley. Make sure to support her business! She deserves it!

In the last 4 months I have taken two event dresses to AA. One was a flowy chiffon bridesmaid dress, the other a tailor gown covered in sequins for a black tie wedding. Both times I was so impressed with the attention to detail. Not only did she make the dresses fit well, she improved the over all design function. I won't take my clothes needing a tailor anywhere else.
