The glass of my entrance door to my business was vandalized last night.
Called Alex at 7am, he was at my business by 8 and I had a new glass in my door by 10.
Besides having to deal with broken glass everywhere, I also saw myself spending hours at the hardware store trying to make a makeshift plywood door for the meantime.

Ace glass was professional and fast.
Now let's hope I don't have to call them anytime soon again!
But if I do, I will call Ace.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Walter C.San Francisco, CA76510Jun 27, 2024
Reached out to Alex in 2022 for a quote to replace double pane glass. He arrived and took measurements of the failed glass on the windows. Alex mentioned needing scaffolding for the replacement glass and not being able to source the exact low e glass tint for the replacement. Instead he recommended I reach out to other SF companies for quotes.
I wish I called other reputable window and glass companies along the Peninsula first. I was able to find a solution with a window company in Burlingame.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John L.Oakland, CA4467040Feb 8, 2024
Bizarre. Asked Alex for a bid and he refuses to give me a bid because the shower pan is not installed. I sent him photos of a shower pan that IS installed. He continues to believe that I DON'T have a shower pan. It's like we live on different planets. Be careful with communication - this contractor clearly has poor communication.
I have other bids from glass contractors and Ace glass was the only one that doesn't understand that my bathroom is ready for glass installation!Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 2 - Sarah H.Burlingame, CA061Mar 23, 2024
I can't believe how unprofessional this company is. I called and spoke with Alex on a Tuesday and asked for a commercial window replacement estimate that we needed a replacement for asap. He said he can do it the following morning as the place was right around the corner from where he lives and he would be able to give me an estimate that same day! I emailed him all the info and no reply! I called to see if he received it and the lady that answered specifically said he for sure got it. I gave it a couple of days and still no response from him so I called Thursday and he said he'll do it over the weekend. Ok, I patiently waited till Monday and still NOTHING!!
Save your time and energy as this place sucks!!
We ended up going with **J&D glass**. They were so professional and prompt. They came out the same morning that i called to take measurements and provided an estimate the same evening. Got the job done within a week, did an excellent job and was overall amazing!!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Matthew H.San Francisco, CA01Aug 18, 2023
Ace Glass is the best in SF/Bay Area
If you are a small business, look no further.
Could not be more grateful for Alex & his team. Restaurant windows were broken & they were on the scene within an hour late at night.

Straight forward review
Alex show up Super late without any notice.
Alex show up without wearing a mask.(it was very uncomfortable talking with him even i make 6 feet away from him)
Alex told me that office will call me for a exact estimate, it's been more than 9 days..no one calls me for a update.
Alex got really bad attitude. I called couple of other shops, and entire my whole life, never experienced anything like this before. Even my 66 years dad laughed at him.
Alex is really bossy. You don't tell him what to do he tells you what to do.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Quality T.San Francisco, CA014826Aug 21, 2019
Wendy does a really good job managing the office, and the customers.
However, Alex stated one price on my tenants' windows, and then tripled the price when the quote came. By then, we had no other options since we booked the time with the tenants. He and his colleagues were 3 hours late on a 4 hour time window of time. This is after he cancelled the day before, one hour before he was supposed to be on site. All 4 men had mobiles, but not one thought to call Wendy or the customer.
The work was passable.
This is not the place if you want to be charged a fair price, or if you have a job or other time constraints.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Javier V.San Francisco, CA11Jan 2, 2021Updated review
Ace Glass and Alex tried to change the narrative - once again - trying to make themselves be the adult in the room. They failed customer service 101 - the ciient is ALWAYS correct. The spent 20 minutes writing a response making me look like an idiot that would not recognize the word complete job. I asked Alex 5 times for a complete estimate for installing my replacement window. He now turns around and tries to defend his service by pretending that he is correct about the HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL service they pretend to do. It does not require a 5th grade education to recognize fraud when you see it. AVOID yourself a headache and and being ripped off. Take your business anywhere but here. You will thank me later.

Javier,
We like to remind you, that you walked into our shop and asked us for the price of an insulated glass. we gave you an estimate based on information you had provided only for the glass. and also how much it would be if we measured and did the job.
You then called us and asked us to measure your door glass. since you live around the corner from our shop we asked Alex to walk over and take the measurement,
You then asked us to do the job complete.
it was then that we charged you for a complete job.
Please let us know if you forgot the complete conversation or we created the confusion or you did it to yourself.
We admit to make a mistake and give you a neighborly discount after you complained that you did not have the money. and now; you go on making a public show that you had to pay for a full service when in fact you had our price for both options,
Was it, that you could not do the job / could not afford a professional service fee or both.
You could try calling other professional shops in the City to get a competitive quote before you go on making these comments.Nov 2, 2020Previous reviewImagine getting quoted $160 for a glass replacement and getting a bill for almost $700!!! Despite asking Alex and company 5 X times what was the total and being told $160 after they completed the job they slapped me with $500 labor fee. Then I got berrated and made me feel stupid for not accepting the labor fee. Despite reminding them I asked them at least 5 times for the total they would not budge. Finally they reduced the bill $100 but never accepted fault. Ace Glass has no concept of providing a complete estimate before starting a project. Even when reminded that everyone else does it they found bogus reasons for not doing it. beware!

Alex and the ladies at ACE glass have saved our butts more than once (more than twice, honestly). After having our windows broke out at our business, Alex saved the day. I couldn't recommend them enough or say enough positive things about this business to help compensate for how they've helped us. Call. Alex is the man. You won't regret

I called Alex today and had him estimate replacement of two of my windows that were originally covered by a lifetime warranty and had failed. The fair price would be about $1600. I was told the company that I bought them from was out of business and I mentioned that to him. He told me they were back in business and I should contact them for replacement. If they wouldn't replace them, call him back.
How helpful is that??
I would trust Alex with any window needs in the future. What an honest guy! Thank you Ace!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
