Holy cow! This place is freaking delicious and amazing in every way. Staff is so friendly and fun, excellent customer service, food is crazy good! Most burgers are grass fed and I think grain finished and they have one regular grain fed burger which I usually get and it's perfection. Juicy and with the basics like cheese and pickle and their special sauce or you can jazz it up with grilled onions and bacon, stuff like that. It's the right size as well. Not too big, not too small.
Here's the best part; they have tater tot's. Homemade, crispy and crunchy tater tots! They are ridiculously good. Who knew?!
I think they have salads and tacos also but I've only eaten the tots, burgers and onion rings so that's my review. I think they're new to town as well.
Oh, and next to the self serve drink station they have free house made pickled veggies. Mmmm

What nice looking old school converted gas station burger joint.
It's been a really long time since my last visit here, I'm from out of the area.
I came by about 7 PM and the place was still really humming with activity. Lots of togo orders since it was a bit cold and windy outside in the spring weather.
The service was fast and very friendly. The server made suggestions to help me with the huge menu.
Everything I could see coming out of the busy kitchen looked really good.
I see some great looking fresh cut fries and onion rings along with tater tots.
So I took a chance and decided to try a few of their more unusual sandwiches.
I ordered the Ahi tuna (saw it on Triple D) and the barbecue pulled pork sandwich, with a order of tater tots.
I waited about 20 minutes for the order.

The good. The bun was very fresh the lettuce crisp, and the tomato ripe. While the sandwich was oozing juice, the Ahi was way over cooked and poorly seasoned.
(When you over cook Ahi, it just tastes canned tuna fish on a bun.)
The overall flavor wasn't very good, so I only took a few bites and stopped.
Next I tried the BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw, and it was just bad.
The meat was dry, with no smoke flavor, and the sauce was just bad.
It was right up there with some of the worst pulled pork I've ever eaten.
The tater tots were very crispy, crunchy, and seasoned well. I asked for the awesome sauce, that sadly wasn't all that awesome.
It's kind of an off tasting thousand island.
After a few of the tots, I noticed the old fry oil aftertaste that was very disappointing.

I think this place is popular for a reason, but I allowed myself to get off track and order things that are hard to do well.
They should probably take them off the menu and stay in their lane.
The food this time was a 1* but the service bumps it up a few.
I'll try them again, and and next time keep it to burgers, chicken, and fries. Hopefully I'll get a better result.

I had my first Acme burger in Cotati, gotta say...it was pretty darn good.
I was pretty excited to hear they were coming to Petaluma.
Whether you're calling an order in for pick up or deciding to eat there, you can't go wrong. It's a tasty treat.
The bun is toasted perfectly, each of the toppings layered just right! Don't forget the pickles! You know the ones in the jar on the counter?! Mmm!
I recommend sharing a side of tots, fries, or onion rings. They are plentiful, unless of course, you want them all for yourself then go on, get em!

Acme Burger. Waiting for the goods!

How have I not been to Acme Burger before?!

Vibe: nostalgic burger joint! Order inside, sit outside or take food to go. They have a tent up over the outside seating during the winter.

Their motto is "Good Food Fast" and they mean it!

      We tried:
Sonoma Mountain Beef Company Burgers (Locally raised, hormone & antibiotic free, grass fed & grain finished)
-a single with the included lettuce, tomato and Awesome sauce, plus cheddar and caramelized onions for me +
-a double with the included lettuce and tomato, plus cheddar for him

Beyond Burger (Plant-based protein, hummus, no awesome sauce)
-single for a friend - her fave!

We also tried regular Shoestring Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Cajun Fries - all winners! We didn't try but need to: garlic fries, truffle fries, tater tots, and sweet potato tots (I'm intrigued!).

Our food was ready fast and the prices seem fair for the quality. My burger was substantial and hit the spot. Really enjoyed the fries too. It was a solid choice and I'll definitely be back.

I'm impressed that they can maintain such an extensive menu. They also offer fried chicken, turkey burger, tuna burger, hot dogs, grilled cheese, salad, soup, Straus organic soft serve, milk shakes, and Pepsi fountain sodas.

We were directed to Acme Burger by a banker at the nearby, Wells Fargo.

The service was a little bit slower than I would've liked, but it was obvious they had a lot of to go orders that they were preparing.

The restaurant is very cute with outside tables only . Generally, the outside area was clean, although there were a couple of splotches on a couple of the tables from prior diners.

Both Dad and I had burgers. Mine was lettuce wrapped. They were tasty and juicy. We also shared an order of fries which were crispy. we use the secret sauce and ranch dressing as dip.
Dad had a chocolate milkshake which surprisingly he did not finish. I think it was too rich for him.

I felt the prices were reasonable and if I was back in the area, I would certainly not hesitate to eat there again.

High quality beef, crispy fried sides, casual seating, counter service and a clean environment.

There's a wide variety of toppings and sides. All the individual ingredients were fresh and delicious but the grass fed ground beef is what I will keep me coming back.

Help yourself to some house made pickles. They are crunchy, spicy, sweet, and tangy making them the perfect counter balance to a crispy fried potato side.

Those tater tots were Uber crispy! Makes me never want to bake them at home again. The onion rings were among the best I've ever had. Just a perfectly cooked ring that holds its shape while handling, delivering a loud crunch with each bite yet they're soft and delicious on the inside.

The burgers are quarter pounders, so if you're hungry consider ordering a double.

The only thing I didn't care for was the 'awesome sauce' which was slathered on my burger. It's a thousand island/secret sauce style condiment that's tangy and loaded with fresh herbs. Wasn't my kind of jam. Next time I'll pass on the sauce.

Service was pretty fast. Outdoor seating only, so make sure to dress appropriately for Petaluma weather.

Cute little converted Gas Station on a corner with outdoor seating only.

Extra point for all the sauces - they have MALT vinegar for the fries even!

My friend and I both ordered a child's chicken strip meal. Which looked delish and is plenty for 1 adult. I was eating one of my chicken finger and the 2nd half of it was a funny texture - kinda too chewy. I thought maybe an anomaly- but then my friend had the same issue with one of her tenders (2 tenders per order) - It was not undercooked, but kinda that texture - I am wondering if the chicken had been thawed in the microwave, then fried, it was that sort of texture - so not 5 stars for me - but the fries were delish.

Acme Burger is a must stop for my son and I after this first visit. The burger and fries are great, and the shake was excellent! The serve yourself pickled freebies are such a treat too! An employee of Rancho Obi-Wan referred us and I'm glad she did!
