I've been taking my car to Robert and company for around 5 years now. Pricing is fair, they are friendly, and most of all they are honest to their detriment. Ex: 1. "costco tires are cheaper than us, but we're convenient". 2. "Your wheels don't need an alignment after swapping tires".

Lastly, they are careful and their network really shines as your car ages and needs more work. Ex: "there's a transmission hum, take it to Lenin at at Transmission Auto Center nearby". It ended up being nothing, but glad they left nothing to chance.

Another ex: interior brown liquid leak. "Take it to Tod at Alouis Auto Radiator in case it's a radiator problem". It ended up just being a backed up air conditioner. But glad they are willing to point to specialists who are just as good, fair and honest.

Robert's network is like the avengers of honest, fair, and highly qualified auto mechanics

I had a really great experience here - Robert and team assessed my car and gave me a lot of helpful feedback, working proactively with me in several situations where I was in either *emergency status* or had other towing issues.

I'm so so thankful to have found Robert's shop. Ever since my go-to mechanics retired (Automotive Specialists on Bryant St), I've been trying to find a new mechanic shop to trust with my vehicles. Robert runs an awesome mechanic shop! I can see that he takes pride in the work that he/his staff perform and doesn't cut corners. I had a complicated repair that takes a lot of labor and Robert and his crew completed the job flawlessly. I swear my car runs smoother than it ever has after leaving his shop.

A big difference is also his communication - Robert goes above and beyond in explaining the problem, presenting a solution, and providing an accurate estimate. Do yourself a favor and go to Robert's shop to get honest work done on your vehicle with a price estimate that doesn't go above the quote. He also knows the limits of his shop and understands when he should refer you to another place that specializes in a particular area (i.e body work).

I enjoy working on my own car for fun and had some questions on how I could change some door seals. Despite being finished with my repair and off the clock, Robert took time to answer my questions about the door seals. He even physically showed me how I could do it, which went beyond what I had expected.

This will be my 3rd 5-star review over 17 years taking my 4x4's to Action Auto. Robert is the most honest, reliable, and properly priced mechanic in San Francisco. In my 34 years in SF, I've had a few good mechanics. However... Robert and his team are above and beyond. Thank you, Robert!!!

Almost a literal decade after moving out of the bay, I was visiting and needed to bring in my van for diagnostic service with Robert. Since my first experience with his shop way back in 2010 or so, Robert is still out here making magic happen for his customers. He was able to squeeze me into what I imagine is an insanely busy schedule, and diagnose the problem affordably. I'm so thrilled to see his shop is still thriving, and I hope all you locals know how lucky you are to have Action Auto there for you! Robert thank you for always paying such attention to my budget and emergent car disaster needs. I appreciate you! And my dog loved the treats :)

Why has it taken me so long to write this review? This place is the best. They schedule work, get it done on time, and do it well, all for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? I trust them with my car and Robert (the owner) always answers my calls and gives good advice.

I've been coming to Action Auto for a few years now, and this update is just to say that they continue to be excellent. Most recently, they replaced the spare tire bracket (that had rusted and I broke trying to get the tire off). They're fast and very good. Strongly recommended.

I've been taking my 2012 Hyundai to Robert for about 8 years? You can tell he has a lot of integrity and is the sort of person who really does his best. I drive my kids around a lot and I feel like our family is in good hands here. Thanks Action Auto Care!
