Adary Electric

As new homeowners we struggled with finding a good electrician to handle adding a dryer plug, grounding the house, and a few other minor items. We turned to Yelp and reached out to Adary Electric and a few other well reviewed electricians for bids. The initial call went well and we scheduled a visit with the owner, Nadav.

Nadav showed up at the scheduled time and took a look at our circuit breaker, outlets, etc. before giving us an explanation of what needed to be done. The dryer plug would be easy to add, but the outlets throughout the house would need re-wiring since everything was on old knob and tube wiring. Nadav went on to explain that our home's main panel would need an upgrade at some point in the future as it was not up to today's standards, but he explained to us that we could hold off on this as it was not necessary for the work at hand. He also told us he would be bringing in a crew to handle the job, but that he would be coming in throughout the day to monitor the job and make sure everything was being done properly.

We consulted with the other electricians, but none seemed as thorough in exploring what our home's electric needs were and furthermore the other electricians seemed content with simply adding ground wires to the existing system instead of doing a full rewire.

We decided to go ahead and scheduled the work with Nadav for the following week, he and his crew showed up on time and immediately got to work. His employees seemed to be very high caliber in their own right. They were all friendly and his crew lead Steve was asking thorough questions about the job at hand, making sure that all our needs would be met by the work. Once everything was clear they promptly started to work at which time we had to leave for a few hours.

Towards the end of the day Nadav called to inform us that the work was complete and everything had gone well. The following day we went and checked the work, and everything looked great. The outlets they had replaced looked great, and everything that we had discussed was done. However, we noticed an issue with dimming lights when the fridge would turn on. We reached out to Nadav, he agreed that this was concerning and came up the next day to check on it.

Nadav troubleshooted the situation with us and explaining everything that he was looking at. Many of the issues tied back to the main panel that needed upgrading, but rather than calling it quits or urging us to upgrade Nadav was extremely focused on making this situation work out for us. We determined the next step would be to see if PG&E would at least attempt to upgrade their wiring to the panel. Nadav went ahead and called PG&E for us and when they came out the next day, they confirmed Nadav's suspicions and fixed the issue.

Overall, Nadav was thoughtful, respectful, and very professional. For the quality of his work, his prices are a steal. If you want a good electrician who cares about good electrical work, give Adary a call.

I contacted Adary Electric about upgrading our service and adding a new circuit. I'm really glad I did. Nadav was able to do an initial scoping in a video conference, and he was able to make me confident in choosing them for the Job. The quote was competetive, and he explained everything, which gave me peace of mind. Our communcation was great throughout the project, they always arrived on time, and completed the work as expected. We had to wait for PG&E, and even though PG&E cancelled on us at the last minute, he provided us with a workaround until PG&E could complete their part. His crew was great - very organized and professional, and his follow-up was stellar.

Adary Electric was our "second opinion" call when we ran into an electric issue (our bedroom lights were not working). Next time, they'll definitely be our first call!

He was able to to fix the problem because of this, and it allowed us to avoid an unnecessary rewiring project. Appreciate his timeliness and patience in explaining the different possible problems. Having been recommended by colleagues, we had Adary electric come over to look at some known issues as well as assess the general state of our panel/sub panels. They were personable, polite, professional and great value. I will likely use Adary for my next project or if an ad-hoc issue arises.

Had them inspect an outlet that was malfunctioning, they had me troubleshoot it before having them come out (honest business, didn't want to charge me to come out if it wasn't actually the outlet).

Well, it ended up being the outlet and Marcie was very quick to respond and schedule their technician Rigo to drop by and take a look. Rigo was quick with the troubleshoot and replaced the outlet. Would definitely go back to them for any future electrical issues.

I called and was able to make a same-day appointment. Victor was able to quickly install a new pendant lamp and fix several issues with my outlets (including some issues I wasn't even aware of). I was very impressed with the speed and quality of Adary's service. I will definitely call them again in the future, and would strongly recommend their service.

Adary sent an electrician twice, but eventually the job was done. They charged per hour, so the price was exactly as they said on the phone. We had to detach an old wall oven and then install a new one. The whole thing took about 3 hours, and that's what they charged. You can let them buy any parts needed, their markup is very acceptable and they will get you the parts you need without hassle. There was a little bit of a mixup of what exactly the job was. My guess is because there was a lot of back on forth through messages on Yelp, so it's hard to keep track. In any case a quick call to the boss cleared things up, and the job was done very well.

They replaced and swapped out about 20 light fixtures for me. Great work and no issues at all. Thank you so much!
