AE Kitchen & Bath

I can't say enough good things about this business.
This is the second time I've used them for complete kitchen remodel.
As I mentioned in my 2019 review, it is run like a well oiled machine. Everyone has a job to do and they work together to get it done in quickly.
They kept me in the loop every step of the way. Started on time and finished on time!
I love all the materials that were used. Really enjoying the pullout shelves and soft close cabinets and drawers.

Was excited to work with these folks. Very nice and up front costing.

However the fine details of the finished product was missing. Small dents here and there. They Scratched hardware that we purchased and we had to purchase another set.

We spent a week waiting for new shower cartridges because they didn't know what type we should get. I wish our project came with an actual project manager who would tell us what we needed to do and by when. We felt like we had to plan and purchase so many things on our own

They stuck this sticky plastic all over our carpet to prevent stains but when it was removed left adhesive residue everywhere and now my carpet is ruined.

When I asked how to fix they ignored me. I regret starting this project with them.

After this post there is a response from the "business owner" stating they are sorry and then a lengthy set of excuses which equates to a false apology.

Bottom line is
1) you scratched up the hardware we gave you
2) we bought all the HW ourselves and asked if we bought the right cartridge. You all said yes. Give the right answer else we waste time.
3) we rejected your attempt to fix the carpet issue because your team had already used a wipe on the carpet and it didn't work. And then you offered to dump vinegar all over to clean it. Of course I'm going to reject that.

What other excuses would you like to provide? And tbh you should be concerned whether your customer feels disrespected not your own feelings on the manner which is of opinion.

And by the way your contract that we all signed includes a 1 yr warranty. I hope to not use that but your response seems to imply you are going to abandon communications with us which is a legal breach in your own contract.

Really bad experience from beginning to end.

The first person we talked to gave a very generic quote that we were not comfortable with. We had to consistently check in and figure out the details.

We started the project and they damaged our floor while they were doing work. They suggested the wrong materials to buy. They left tools outside our home in a disorderly fashion.

At the heart of it they also damaged the new materials we bought while the installed.

Finally there are shoddy workmanship all over the place. Chipped tiles. Chipped faucets. Uneven floor tiles.

Never trust these people. I even wonder if the reviews of positivity are even real

We have been so happy to have found AE. Everyone on the team is amazing from the general contractor to the crew. After working with AE, we are too spoiled to work with other contractors. Jenny provides great guidance and delivers amazing work. We are VERY particular about the details and they exceeded our expectations. They don't rush and make sure that you are happy.
AE pricing was very fair and honest with no surprises. After dealing with getting quotes from contractors that were pushy or just plain ghosted us, we were happy with how AE's process was.
We had our bathrooms done and plan to have many more projects done with them. They do small projects like fences to big projects like ADUs. I would give 10 stars if I could.

My family and I came here hoping to shop for a few things for our upcoming remodel on Saturday.

That did not happen. The shop was closed and is only available by appointment. That was not stated on their website or anything we can find. The little parking lot was challenging to get in and out of. We will not subject ourselves to that again.

This is purely a review about requesting a quote process. I would have loved to consider AE Kitchen and Bath if I was able to go through the estimate process and perhaps have them even do my remodeling.

I contacted them, in addition to the other contracting companies that Yelp had recommended. While I got others to acknowledge, schedule some time to review the project at my house and then give me a detailed quote, I never got started with AE because the first thing they asked me was for detailed drawings and project plans. Without that they would not engage further.

I don't know about you, but for a fairly straightforward remodeling of our baths, I was expecting a well established contracting company to come and take a look, give me some guidance on the project and then provide an estimate - like what I got from others. Shutting me down right away and expecting me to have architectural/engineering drawings was unexpected and surprising. They may be great contractors, but either Yelp or them are misleading us by showing up as recommended contractors when others complied with the typical process (of providing an estimate), WITHOUT needing to have detailed drawings beforehand.

We did our kitchen remodel with AE Kitchen. We had little idea about what materials to choose and which pattern to go with. One of our neighbor referred us to Jenny. Jenny came to our house, did all the measurement and gave us 4 to 5 different layouts. We also went to her shop to choose material and patterns. She is very friendly, willing to listen, give us enough time, answered all the questions we had, suggested all the different patterns that we can go with. Her prices are very reasonable. After we finalized the contract with her, she gave us the estimate of 10 days to complete the job. However we were very impressed with her team. They were able to get the job done in 5 days. During these 5 days we were able to use our stove as well. That was very kind of her. Their team also made sure everything was clean before they leave for the day. After the entire job was done, we noticed that our kitchen fuse was not able to handle the load since we moved our microwave and fridge to the same fuse. She had her electrician come over to take a look and provide recommendation. She made sure to address the issue by re-wiring the socket for the fridge. She also fixed couple of broken items in our house for free which saved us calling an handyman. She did a follow-up with us after a week to make sure everything was working as expected and we are satisfied. I will definitely recommend her to my friends and I will give all the future home projects to her.

We recently closed on a home in March and were looking to get our kitchen and 2.5 baths remodeled before moving in.

This was our first time hiring out a contractor to take on this kind of job. Stephen was available on a Friday afternoon to answer questions and followed up promptly over the weekend with a rough estimate for us to work with.

After meeting with a few other remodeling companies and taking time to decide, we went with AE for their price point, ability to start and complete the project within our timeline and attentiveness from both Stephen and Jenny. I appreciate Jenny's can-do attitude, her attention to detail and care for us from the start of the project to the end.

AE's crew works quick and we are generally happy with the quality of construction but as other reviews have mentioned, you should also do your part in looking over fit and finishing and double checking build quality throughout the process. I noticed a small water leak in our master bathroom while the crew was rebuilding the sink and Jenny had sent her crew during off hours to double check at 10pm even though I had assured her I had cleaned and contained the leak.

AE was able to complete the project within 10 weeks, working around two other vendors we went with for flooring and painting. The quote we got from AE for flooring and painting was on the higher side so we decided to contract these out to help keep within budget.

In all, thank you to Jenny, her team and the trust they have built with us throughout this project. The end result is stunning and I would recommend and would consider them again for future projects of similar scope.

After researching on Yelp, reading Yelp reviews and looking though their website I decided to give them a call to get a quote on our kitchen remodeling project. Stephen answered the phone right away and gave me the info necessary get a quote. The quote seemed reasonable and since I was highly motivated I decided to go with them without calling around.

The project was a success from start to finish. I appreciated the customer service and communication from start to finish. Jenny, the protect manager, is excellent at what she does. She also provided honest recommendations and advice when asked. What I also liked is they are a family business and everything was done within their company without dealing with subcontractors.

Since I was pleased what how everything went with the kitchen remodel, I used their service for a complete bathroom remodel a few months later. When I am ready for the next bathroom project, I plan to call them again.

We hired AE again for a large project and they did a terrific job, as we knew they would.
The project manager kept me so informed every day, and even came back and looked everything over after it was painted, to make sure everything looked perfect and was to our satisfaction. AE is worth the wait if they are busy!
