Airport Taxi Cab

Same experience as other Yelpers. UNRELIABLE. I contacted them via their website 4 days before I needed them to see if I could schedule a pick up for today at 6 am. I never got a response and I should have taken that as a clue. I called them last night and booked the 6 a.m. pick up that way. I was directed to send my address via text, which I did, and I got a text back confirming the pick up. So then I purchased the Yelp deal online for the $75 airport ride for $67,

And then 6 a.m. this morning, I'm sitting by the window, with my suitcase next to me, waiting, watching. Nothing. 6:05. Nothing. 6:10. Nothing. I call the number. No one picks up. I send a text message and I get back the response "Sending a car now." Then I get a phone call from some other guy saying that he's driving from Berkeley and will pick me up in 10 minutes. 6:30 am a car finally shows up. This is an entirely different guy (who actually frightened me a couple of times during the ride with his reckless driving). I made my flight but probably wouldn't have if I had to check in bags.

And guess what? I find out only when I get to the airport that 510 Airport Taxi had called ANOTHER taxi service to pick me up. So when I go to pay with the Yelp voucher, the driver refuses to take it because he's not with 510 Airport Taxi.

Now I'm just trying to get my Yelp voucher refunded. I had to pay that guy, essentially paying for this awful taxi ride twice and now I'm getting texts from 510 Airport Taxi asking if I want to use the voucher for a ride from airport on my return trip (NO!) and that I have to contact Yelp for the refund.

This is not a taxi service with a dispatcher. This is a guy who owns a car and a cell phone. BAD NEWS all around!

These guys stood me up after agreeing to pick me up at 4:45am for the airport. I stood outside waiting and calling. They did not show up, they did not answer their phone, they did not respond to my text. UNRELIABLE.

Luckily, I was able to get another cab service to dispatch within 5 minutes so I was able to make it to my flight on time.

I am a first to user of this can service and was thoroughly impressed. Fatwan, our taxicab driver, arrived at our home 10 minutes early and immediately grabbed our bags upon approaching the vehicle. He was friendly, humorous, appropriately social (talkative but respectful of our own side talk) and was conscientious of traffic- getting us there ASAP but safely!

My husband will make sure to add this company to our speed dial whenever we are in need of a shuttle ride! Thank you Fatwan! See you on our next ride to the Oakland Airport or anywhere else for that matter. And we will make sure to recommend Yellow Cab to our family and friends should they need to choose a reliable cab service in the Oakland area!

These guys are great and reliable. They were on time to pick up my whole family and were able to provide a car seat to the airport. They also met us at the airport for our return trip with the same van and car seat, saving us a big hassle and reducing the whole trip anxiety.

Will definitely use them again on our next trip!

Useless. Booked them for 5:30am pickup and they didn't show. They also only had an answer machine on so we were unable to contact them. Made our flight with 5 minutes to spare before the doors closed. Eventually got through to someone later to find out what happened, was told he was too busy to talk and would call back. Instead of a $35 ride to the airport, we had to take our car and park there. $190 parking charge to come when we get back. Still to hear from him. If you need to get somewhere, use someone else. Thanks for the stress, idiots.

Update: Our parking charges were $216 upon our return. Still no contact or apology from these useless bozos.

My flight is at midnight and was supposed to be picked up at 8:30pm, but I didn't clarify that it was at night. Fetwan arrived early at 8:15am and waited for an hour before he was finally able to reach me on the phone.

I felt really bad but he was very professional, and came to pick me up again at 8:45 PM. Again arrived early.

Very impressed! Highly recommended!

Taxi was 30 minutes late for an early morning pickup to catch a flight. Dispatcher kept saying that the taxi was close, or another 5 minutes, rather than be upfront. Late, while not ideal, I can deal with, but being strung along is manipulative and dishonest.

Fetwan was great! We would highly recommend using their taxi service over all others. For both times we used him, he was always early and was a pleasure to work with. He was polite, trustworthy and even helped my husband install our daughters car seat into his van.

On our return flight, we had to wait for luggage and gather all the baby stuff, so Fetwan waited almost 40 min for us. He didn't charge us or leave...coming in after 10pm with a one year old, it was nice to know we had a ride waiting. We'd definitely use them again!

Nice guy, pleasant to talk to on the ride from Hilton Emeryville to Richmond. He showed up early all three times I booked a ride.

Definitely recommend!
