Brought a drive shaft to john at AJ's
All I wanted was to push out the universal joint.

Excellent mechanic shop. They just did my timing belt & water pump yesterday. Was done when they said they would be. Would recomend them to anyone!

These guys are amazing. Absolutely amazing. Called in and got my car fixed the next day. They are very honest and do amazing work. I couldn't be happier. If you have a tranny issue, I wouldn't go to anyone else, even if I had to push my car there!!

Brought my 97 Dodge truck to them to get my tranny fixed as it was of off warranty.
We planned to go on our annual summer vacation to Burton BC my 3 kids and wife.
After paying close to 3k we used the truck to go on our summer vacation.
Went to Burton BC and made a day trip to explore the caves at Ainsworth BC.
As we went uphill the transmission shifted out of drive to neutral . Strange, so shifted back into Drive. Happened to shift out of D to N again. So back to D and made it up to the top.
On our way down mountain the tranny shifted itself back to N and this time it would go back to D. What a scary moment that was. We managed to coast down to the bottom after many tense moments and the wife and kids freaking out.
Finally made it to the bottom. Called AJ but they were closed.
BCAA to the rescue. Towed it back to Nelson to a transmission shop that is part of the Transmission association. It is now 10 PM......
No sign of anything blown , no traces of oil, no tranny fluid nothing.
The mechanic checked the tranny fluid and is was nearly empty.
We rented a car to get back to Burton, arrived back at the cabin at 2am.
The Nelson shop sent pictures to AJ and they said it's not their fault.
They said I must of drained the fluid myself. Yeah right.
So I bought a rebuild tranny for 3K from the Nelson shop with a full warranty.

When we arrived back in North Van I spoke to them and they told me tough luck.
Well now we have the internet and I am compelled to tell my story.

WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND NOT HONEST !!!!!

These guys are great. My parents have gone to them for 5 plus years and we just stumbled upon them. They have always gone out of the way to help us. Recently I had my '04 F150 engine light go on, on my way out of town. I pulled in and they had it fixed in an hour, obviously a huge favour. My mom's transmission on her '03 Trail Blazer when on the way to our cabin 6 hours away last year and she had to get it towed to Osoyoos and fixed. Unfortunately we got it done there and it hasn't felt or sounded right for over a year. It blew again last week and was 200km over the warranty, AJ's fought the warranty for us and got it covered. They are always honest with prices and the problems, next time we will tow back to Vancouver to get it done right!
