ACMH is an exceptional school led by Xi Laoshi, a dedicated and talented Montessori educator.

Xi Laoshi has created a positive and loving environment where children learn how to respect themselves, one another, and their surroundings. All of the staff are extremely patient and skilled at helping children process their emotions. Guest teachers come regularly to teach mindfulness, art, and martial arts.

The classroom is bright, inviting, and filled with a rotation of interesting activities, and the outdoor space is large and filled with vegetables and fruit trees that the children help plant, care for, and enjoy.

Lisa NaiNai prepares the most delicious and nutritious lunch for the children with a menu sent out at the start of each week that would make any fan of Chinese/Taiwanese food want to partake.

My daughter came home everyday excited to tell us about all of the interesting things she did that day and excited to show off her math and Mandarin reading and writing skills.

We feel so lucky to have been a part of this community for the last 1.5 years and could not recommend it more highly for parents seeking a school where their children can thrive!

I cannot recommend Xi Laoshi's AMCH preschool enough. We had been through a total of 5 preschools (the majority of which were Mandarin Immersion Montessori) before enrolling our daughter at AMCH last fall. Xi Laoshi is the BEST teacher with the most patience and love for children that I have ever come across, hands down. She is so devoted to her students and the school and it shines through everything the children experience at the preschool. My child used to cry at drop off because she didn't want to go to her previous school and she had meltdowns at night/on the weekends to release the pent up negative energy she built up during the day. Now I have to persuade her to leave school because she loves it SO much at AMCH. The hot lunch is so delicious she hardly eats dinner at home now. The children are beaming with happiness and content every single time I visit. Their Lunar New Year performance highlighted the songs, poems, and dances the children learned at school and we could see how much preparation and effort went into the program. I know we will be so sad to leave the preschool when our daughter has to move on to kindergarten next fall but she will enjoy every single day there until that day comes. Thank you Xi Laoshi for pouring your heart and soul into AMCH and into the children that are lucky enough to have you as their beloved teacher.

Xina laoshi is the best and most caring teacher ever! Her school is amazing! Wish we could stay here forever. You will not regret it especially if you were looking for a mandarin immersion school. Reach out early and serious inquiries only please as they are very very busy. She is very communicative and invested in the children.

I wish my kids could go here forever. Both of my kids loved Ms. Xi and the other preschool teachers. I dropped off my kids each day knowing they were in the best care. She is the most nurturing and patient teacher and really cares about her students. My kids' Chinese improved and came home each day singing a new song they learned. I fully believe in the Montessori approach and reinforced it at home which helped both my kids prepare for TK and Kinder.

Our family 100% recommends this bilingual, Mandarin immersion Children's House, as it is run by the best preschool teacher we've encountered, Ms. Xi. We have known a couple of the teachers here for over 3 years, and they are the kindest, most caring, thoughtful teachers you can ask for in a preschool setting. They not only take incredible care of the kids, but they also get the students ready for kinder and beyond through a Montessori curriculum. Highly recommended!

Would definitely reccommend this place for anyone with preschool kids. It's a fun, safe, clean environment with kind and passionate teachers. We've know the owner/teacher for 7 years and she will go above and beyond for her students!

We were previously at another Alameda daycare/preschool but decided to switch, hoping a smaller class environment would provide my girls with more individual attention and a little more structure to prepare our 4-year-old for kindergarten. We weren't specifically looking for Montessori or Mandarin immersion but we decided to give this place a try! Honestly, we were a little apprehensive to send them to a Mandarin immersion school because we did not speak the language at home and worried about the language barrier to learning but they have been able to follow along and also pick up on Mandarin! Xina and Yang Laoshi have made my girls feel so welcome, they never fight me at dropoff (even on Mondays!) and they always want to stay when I come to pick them up. The girls come home with many art projects, food that they made (they occasionally have cooking class), and worksheets working on tracing numbers and letters. They also have an English-speaking Montessori trained teacher, Ms. Nancy that teaches there as well. We can see how much Xina and the teachers care for the kids at school, the activities are rotated so that it's not repetitive and the school is very clean and safe. We feel very lucky to have found Xina and her amazing school and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Xi Laoshi. We have known her for over a year while we were both at an alternate Mandarin immersion school. She has stood out as remarkably caring and dedicated teacher. She is patient, kind, has a gentle manner, and is very attentive and child oriented. I know she is committed to keeping ratios low so she can focus on their growth (socially , and otherwise ). She is a school educator truly focused on their development beyond childcare. She is a great communicator with parents. She will notice individual traits about your child and their personality. Her Montessori is lovely, clean, and safe. Has a hot healthy lunch option! I tell my good friends who will soon have kids of the right age to her! Your child will be in safe hands and most importantly will grow and develop with Xi Laoshi.

AMCH provides a safe, fun, and engaging environment where kids learn Mandarin while adhering to Montessori philosophies. Xi laoshi brings years of experience as an educator. I have known her for the past 3 years when she was a preschool teacher at a previous mandarin immersion school. You will not find another teacher as attentive, dedicated, and passionate about teaching. She was so well loved by both her students and parents that many families have followed her to this new school. With a low student teacher ratio, a teacher that goes above and beyond what's expected, and lovely indoor and outdoor spaces, any child would be happy here.

Xi Na Laoshi's warmth and friendliness extends to all her students, teachers and parents. Her space is beautiful and so thoughtfully prepared. She takes great care in making the environment feel welcoming and interesting! She expertly weaves in Mandarin with Montessori. You can quickly see how much she cares about her students academically, emotionally and developmentally in the ways that she interacts with them. Almost magically she is able to support children academically, nurture their self-esteem and foster their independence. I highly recommend Xi Na Laoshi, her space and her program.
