I never knew how important an electrician was until I needed one, fast. We basically had an external outlet that burned through after a storm--it was dangerous to turn on the breaker in a big part of our house. We couldn't find any electrician who could come out within 24 hours to our area. Fortunately, we found Frankie. You can read our story below. But, the main point is Frankie was professional and knowledgeable. And another plus for me is that he could clearly explain what was wrong, what needed to be done asap and what needed to be done long term.

Our story: After a few power outages back to back due to an ongoing storm, the light came on and we all thought it was fine. We finally sat down to have dinner when we started to smell something like burning plastic and gasoline accumulating in the master bedroom. We couldn't locate the source or see any smoke, no visual of anything wrong anywhere. Long story short, the fire department came and the crew was also dumbfounded, but everyone was persistent and after some time, the source of the problem was located. We found that the outlet in the external wall of the house and its wires had burned through inside the wall connecting to our bedroom. The box was totally fried! The firefighter said it was dangerous to use any light in that room, given how messed up the wiring was, along with the fried box and wires. We turned off the breakers and stayed at a hotel that night and frantically looked for an electrician and Frankie was one of the few that responded, but the only one who could come out right away. He came by quickly and fixed the outlet, explaining clearly what he was doing every step of the way. He even did extensive testing to help us better understand which outlets were connected to which circuit breakers and even helped us come up with a long term plan to reconfigure our light switches in a way that makes more sense for our household. It's always been a guessing game for us which lights will turn on or off in a given room when the switch is flipped--so you can imagine the frustration when testing out whether a light bulb was out or we just hit the wrong switch. We plan to have Frankie come back, assess the rest of the wiring in the house and have it fixed once and for all.

Francisco came by a few weeks back to check out my the area I wanted to have my EV wall charger installed in my garage. He determined it would work after looking at my main electrical panel. He knew the new breaker size requirement plus the job would include getting the necessary permit. The price was reasonable and an estimate was later emailed for me to sign off on.

Fast forward to today, Francisco came by and worked his electrical skills to install the new breaker and run the wiring to the desired location.

A while later, the job was done and the EV wall charger was installed and powered on, ready to set up. He was tidy and everything was left neat afterwards. The professional labeling of the breakers was the finishing touch.

I'm keeping Alameda Oakland Electrical Services on my go-to list for the next time I need electrical work done. I recommend the friendly and efficient Francisco for your electrical project. This company is a locally-owned business as well and that's a plus!

Francisco and his team installed the ChargePoint EV Charger at my home. Even before Francisco came out to the house, he already gave me advice and answer questions via texts.
