This is a great place to get your keys cut. I was in a jam and the owner of the store went out of his way to help me out. I was able to get my keys and get my emergency handled! He also took time to give great advice on keys and locks! Highly recommend this place !

If you need keys done, don't bother going anywhere but here. This guy is the best. He made me keys that 2 main hardware stores couldn't. Great prices too

Quick and friendly service! Our front door lock was giving us some issues, and after digging around on Yelp, I found Alameda Repair Shop. I gave them a call and was able to get a same day appointment, and get the issue fixed right away.

The best way to explain is EXPERIENCE. For my Jeep, He was able to make a copy of a fob at significantly less than the dealer. Whew.

Chris was terrific when I called just before 4pm after locking myself out; told me he'd have someone to me in 20 minutes to fix.

Joe arrived in 19 minutes(!), with an amazing set of tools I'd never heard of, to try to jiggle lock open. When that didn't work, he also had a replacement kit on the van that was a perfect match to color & style of deadbolt, so was able to fix without need for return visit.

Joe was also able to match new door lock to existing key for deadbolt, and with another amazing tool on the van, cut 2 additional matching keys at only $5 each! - far less expensive than $25 per key elsewhere!

This is the place you've driven and walked past countless times, unnoticing, until that panicky moment when you need a key, and fast!

FAR LESS EXPENSIVE AND MORE RESPONSIVE than others I contacted (both on and off the island), Alameda Repair Shop is also convenient (being just off the Park Street business strip).

Chris is full of stories, and my chipped car key was ready faster than I was able to down my mug of coffee. Worked perfectly the first time, and has continued to fire up the old ride without issue every time these past couple of months.

ARS also carries padlocks, deadbolt door locks, and a whole slew of things I barely registered in my grateful exit, now armed to continue attacking all the chores.

Joe came and rekeyed all my locks after my kid was robbed at gunpoint for his ebike with his keys (and our house keys on it!) and wallet (with his ID and our address on it!). They were gonna come same day/night but my schedule didn't allow for it and asked for them to come next day and they did. In addition to great service, I had a really good conversation with Joe. Then I told him I needed a total of 6 keys and he didn't have enough, he told me to pop by the shop down the street. Soon as he left, I went and met Chris - stories for dayssss. He didn't charge me for the keys. I really appreciated the quick and knowledgeable service. Most of all, the friendliness. Will def be a return customer and will recommend to fam and friends :)

The owner of this shop is a delight. He's a pleasant and chatty fellow who greeted me upon entering. I told him that we had been referred to his shop because he may have an RV key that we'd always wanted to copy, but never had found a place that could do it. Well, Alameda Repair Shop was able to it. In about 3 minutes, we had a perfect copy that works great.

I needed to duplicate keys to an Architectural mailbox and found out after a bit of trial and error that the only way to do this was to order blank keys from the manufacturer and have a locksmith perform the duplication.

After my blanks arrived, I brought them over to Alameda Repair Shop and I was thoroughly blown away by how quick and easy the process was to get the keys copied. In under a minute, I had three additional copies of my mailbox key. Cheaper than any big-box store as well! 10/10 would recommend for all your key copying needs.
