I had a delicious breakfast here on Sunday morning around 10:30am. There are a couple outdoor tables, a few inside, and seating on the counter. We were seated right away. Service was amazing! My coffee stayed full, and food came out quick.

      I had:
      -Denver scramble + mushrooms (5/5)
Soooo soo good! And those potatoes....wow! I truly enjoyed this! The apple cinnamon scone I chose was 5/5 as well.

      -Orange juice (5/5)
      Fresh squeezed, can't go wrong.

      -Jalisco hot sauce (5/5)
So spicy and so good! I need it bottled!

I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu or probably the same exact thing :)

This restaurant was refreshing to try out for the first time. The food was flavorful and different. I enjoyed the Alana's combo for my first order here, it's your typical breaky set up of carbs and protein. I was really thankful that they had non pork options for protein. The chicken apple sausage was very nice, did not taste artificial or too salty. The difference in this place would be the environment, service and "carb" option. The roasted potatoes they serve with their breakfast isn't your normal plain potatoes, they season them very well and crisped just right.

The atmosphere gave me Gilmore Girl vibes, very cozy and super cute. There is seating outside and inside... If it's blazing hot, outside would be best. The foot traffic here is not as bad compared to the other places on the Avenue. I think this allows the servers to be very attentive and interactive with all their customers.

They have options for bread, scones and I believe a coffee cake? It may differ per day but that was different to be offered those choices.

I would recommend this place if other breaky places on the Ave are too busy, give it a try the flavors were great!

This cafe is soooooooo good! It's a typical menu, but their food is so flavorful! Their potatoes are seasoned so well. My favorite is their oatmeal pancakes since I've never had oatmeal pancakes anywhere else... but here... Their service is amazing too. I got to-go for the first time since I usually like eating on site since it's located at Burlingame Ave and it's a good brunch place especially on hot days.

Our usual server Laura was soooo sweet & accomodating. She was on top with asking us with our needs even with to-go orders! This cafe is for sure a go-to spot for me.

Reporting back to say that this spot continues to be the best brunch in Burlingame. Get the Swedish oatmeal pancakes and you will leave so happy. Every single time we go the experience is amazing - fast & such friendly service, phenomenal food that is fresh/hot, and the cutest outdoor ambiance. A neighborhood favorite!

First of many visits to come. Stopped by on a busy Sunday morning and wow this little gem offers some great looking and tasty dishes. Our server Gladys gave us some great options for our next visit. They are known for their pancakes, salads, and baked goods. They offer breakfast and lunch. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is prepared fresh and served hot and delicious. It gets busy so be prepared to wait for a table. We were able to try the bread pudding and it happens to be one of the best that I've had. Can't wait to try the other goodies on the menu.

      March 30, 2024.

First visit to Alana's Café. We arrived at opening time on a Saturday morning, a line forming already. Fortunately, with the additional parklet seating They were able handle quite a number of people.

*I ordered the breakfast special of the day: Traditional Mexican breakfast of Chilaquiles.
      *Café Latte.
*Parental Unit. Sonoma scrambles. The coffee cake was delish on its own. I would have suggested to order toasts to go with the Sonoma scrambles, but Parental Unit wanted to taste the coffee cake.
*We had to try the French toast- homemade raisin focaccia.

Everyone was extremely friendly, the rest of the employees were quick to take any plates, always checked in on us as well. The service won me over. One of the best services ever encountered.

If ever in the downtown Burlingame, Alana's is definitely on the list for breakfast. Stop by Copenhagen for desserts. Olive oils and wine tasting at the cutest French cottage style store -Del' Oliva.

I've been to Alana's a few times before this review and haven't had any negative experiences. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the wait times are low, and the food is consistently delicious.

Probably the best Huevos Rancheros I've ever had. If I were local, I'd definitely come back to try other options.

Alana's had been on my list for a while now, at the recommendation of several friends... and boy, were they right! Alana's is excellent comfort brunch food served quickly and with a smile.

There was a short line when we arrived on Saturday morning (there usually is), but we didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. We ended up getting seated at the counter overlooking the kitchen area, giving us the chance to marvel at the speed of the cooks whipping up breakfast excellence!

We ordered two Alana's combos, which is a pretty traditional sampler consisting of eggs, potatoes, toast, and choice of side. But they nailed all aspects of it, and the portion size was just right.

But the true highlight of our order was the Swedish oatmeal pancakes. If you come here, you owe it to yourself to give these a shot. The menu itself calls them "famous" and "worth the wait" - and honestly, it's not wrong. They're large and fluffy, it's got a sweet, slightly nutty flavor, and a wonderful oaty texture. We ordered ours with the lingonberry compote, and it was truly the perfect complement to the delicious pancake. Top 3 pancake for sure... and that includes the chocolate chip pancakes my mom made for me growing up.

Despite the crowded restaurant, my water and coffee cups were never empty once. They've got this place down to a precise operation, and it shows.

Alana's, I'll be back this weekend!

I miss Alana's cafe when they used to have the house in Redwood City. Itwas one of my favorite places to come to visit on a weekend for brunch. It was one of the many reasons I fell in love with the Bay Area. The scone w/ jam and eggs with a bottomless cup of coffee served with Love on a beautiful Summer Day. I'll never forget it.

I had to drop someone off at the airport and decided why not, I hadn't visited the Burlingame location before so I decided to pay this place a visit. We got there shortly after 9 a.m. on a rainy weekend and was seated immediately at a two top. Our server asked me as I sat down if I wanted coffee which I replied yes, please. She gave a us a few minutes to go over the menu and also told me about the special of the day Chilaquiles w/ Chorizo. I am always in the mood for Chilaquiles. I ordered that, my son ordered the Mediterranean Omelet w/ Chicken Sausage, and we got a stack of the Swedish pancakes to share. The food came out shortly after. I love their delicious scones, which vary from weekend to weekend. On this day they had a Fig Almond scone, which I had to try. It tasted wonderful.

The ambiance was very busy with alot of servers walking around making sure everyone had coffee or water and were satisfied with their dishes. If your ever in the Burlingame area and are in the mood for lunch please stop by and try this place. You won't regret it.
