This is the oldest and best Farmers Market in the City. I've been shopping there for years. I get all of my produce at Alemany. The variety of produce can't be beat anywhere - truly international. When I'm curious and adventurous, I'll ask the vendor what a vegetable is and how to prepare it. The varieties of fruit are amazing. Prices are reasonable and everything is very fresh - straight from the farms. Delicious! It's also nice to get to know the people who grow your food...

Very big, very cheap, and very delicious farmer's market. I arrived around 8:45am and easily found parking.

      My favorite stands:
At the very western end of the market, there is an unmarked stand that sells apples from wooden crates. There is usually a guy there with a cowboy hat. This place has by far the cheapest apples of any farmer's market ... $1.25 / lb and also the widest selection. The Fuji apples are delicious but this is also a great opportunity to try some lesser known apples that aren't available in your regular grocery store -- Mutsu, Pippin, Howard, Jonahgold. They also sell gala, granny smith, honeycrisp & red delicious. Spend some time picking out the best ones. This stand also shows up at Heart of the City Farmer's Market on Wednesdays & Sundays.

Rodriguez Farms, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. They offered me a free sample, and woah, I had to buy some. The strawberries were so juicy and sweet. $6 for 1 basket & $15 for 3-baskets of certified organic strawberries. $16 for a combo pack with 1 basket each of strawberries, raspberries & blackberries.

Lopez Family Farm, offered a sample of pluot and it was incredible, so of course I had to buy some pluots. $3 / lb.

Far West Fungi, delicious mushrooms, amazing selection, great prices. $5 per 8 oz basket of ugly shiitakes.

There are a few stands that I haven't seen at any other farmer's market nearby:
      - Bodega Bay Oysters
      - City Fish Company
      - Joceline's Wildflower Honey
      - Bariani Olive Oil
      - Duck Eggs ($20 for 15 eggs)

I live not too far from here and finally had a car and a free Saturday to swing by for some shopping. I arrived around 9am and found parking pretty easily and got to work. I did a quick lap first to see what vendors were there and where I could do the most shopping, and I ended up spending around $60 on flowers, eggs, and a bunch of produce. This was two weeks ago and my flowers are still going strong, and all of the produce was good.

I also got an iced coffee w/horchata from El Huarache Loco (which I would probably go back for alone) and a croissant from Panorama Baking Company. I'd love to try some of the food trucks for lunch on a future visit.

Alemany Farmers' Market...the place to be at on Saturday Morning

I been coming here whenever I get a Saturday Morning available. The place can be jam pack with lots of people and not much parking spaces. A lot of vendors at this farmers market to check out with great service.

I come here for Rita's Catering & Eatery...the place to get a good home cooked Filipino food. A reasonable price to get Filipino food compare to going to Goldilocks. I have inform Rita's Catering & Eatery that I enjoyed eating their food whenever I am in town.

Definitely check out Alemany Farmers' Market

Got some Miyajima Oyster (I think that's the name)

These were so good. It was a dozen for $20 but they gave me 3 extra ones! I realized it when I got home and was so happy. These were sweet & salty in a good way. I just ate it with some lemon. So delicious and simple.

It is a fun way to save money, get your vegetables, fruits and support your local farmers! The "unattractive looking vegetables can really save you $$$, most stuff is sliced, diced or smushed anyway. Leave the beauty contest to others.
You will find juice, fruit and nuts samples. Try before you buy!
Farmer probably prefer cash but some do take credit cards, Venmo or Zelle. Ask before, you pick out your goods!!
Bring a good study shopping bag or backpack, it get bards to carry all the little plastic bags.
Come early to find parking, it can be a challenge. There are plenty portable potty, just remember to hold your breath. Haha.
Most of all, enjoy the day, feel good about patronizing our local farmers.

Great san Franciso farmers market in a street away from the crowds. This farmers market is not your typical tourist attraction, but butter. Fresh fruits and vegetables for very good prices, fresh flowers, some food trucks/stands. Most vendors use Venmo or zelle. Parking is available at the market and is very easy to find a spot. Stop by to load up on your fresh groceries! If I lived in the city I would come back weekly!

Small but good options here! There are a variety of stands, pretty much selling some of the same things with the exception of a few specific to one. Came on a Saturday morning, around 9:30/10AM and it was already getting pretty crowded. Luckily we knew what we wanted and were able to get it all then leave!

Parking can be a little hard, you have to be on the close lookout for a spot but also for pedestrians and other cars trying to pass you by! Bringing this rating down 1 star as I wish there was a little more organization for parking and walking pathway. But, this is in a big open lot so I see where they too are limited.

Nonetheless, I did like this location and I especially loved the flower stand! Definitely come early, bring cash (makes it easier) and have your list ready!

Beautiful flower arrangement for a great price!

When I was little, my family and I would come here on Sunday's for the Swap Meet's. However just recently, I have been experiencing going to the Flea Market's on Saturdays because of my bf, and I never realized how diverse and amazing this Flea Market is. It's to the point where I wouldn't mind getting most of my produce here rather than the local grocery market.

*Saturday - Flea Market - Still open during Pandemic since it's considered a necessity.
*Sunday - Swap Meet - NOT open since the Pandemic occurred as it is not a necessity.

      *PRO's:
-Diversity and ample choices of produce that you would not be able to get at your local Safeway or Asian Supermarket. (For example: Bittermelon leaves...Saluyot...Shishito sweet peppers especially for a cheap price per pound...)

-The security guards do a great job at walking the entire place enforcing people to social distance and wear their masks!!!!

      -Cheap negotiable prices :)

      CON's:
-Parking! If you're not a walker just as many people that come to the Flea Market...parking is not your best friend in this area lol

Aspiring chef or city restauranteur, every cook can find amazing produce here. Many fruit stalls price their stone peaches, nectarines, plums, Asian pears, etc at $2/lb, and the rest of the vegetable produce is amazingly fresh and cheap.

You can also find very niche ingredients here, which was what brought me here, such as:

      -Taro roots/leaves (for fresh poi)
-Fresh Kumamoto oysters ($18 for 12)
      -Super special citrus varieties
-Lilikoi (broke da mouf POG bread loaf incoming!)
-Wild, raw rose bud honey (perfect for earl gray tea)
      and more!

Most vendors are really friendly and will point you in the right direction if they don't have what you're looking for.

A good number of Yelpers knock off stars for the parking sitch. It's tough. At 8:00 AM expect to sit for at least 10 min as you sit in your car slowly creeping towards the small parking lot, though I got lucky with a spot on the right curb as I was in line for the lot. Ultimately I can't fault this place for its tough parking. Some people "sneak" in the lot by going up the hill, down, and into the back of the market, which I will probably do next time and so could you too :)
