My tire pressure monitoring system light was on, but when I checked, my son checked, my mechanic checked, the tires were inflated properly.

I was told I had to go to a tire business to fix the problem. I called the tire place I usually go to, who shall remain nameless. They told me there was no way to know which tire was causing the problem. It would be $100 a tire to fix, so $400 really, since all four tires had to be repaired. And I needed to make an appointment.

Um, this seemed a lot, so I called Alex and Angel's Tires. Alex told me, yes, there is a way to figure out which tire--or how many--is/are causing the problem. And the price would be $80 per tire.

My lucky day! One tire was causing the problem. So $320 less poor that if I had gone to the other tire place, I left, a happy customer.

Oh, and the nice young man, George, who helped me was pleasant, professional and had me out of there in 30 minutes--without an appointment being necessary. A good experience, one I plan to repeat if I need a tire service.

4.9 star rating seems strange after this experience.

Came in yesterday to get a replacement tire. First used tire I was offered had 30-40% tread, but I needed one with at least 70%. Because he did not have a used tire with more than 40% tread I needed a new tire. I chose the least expensive (40-45k miles) to be closer matched to the other three tires on my car with 80% tread.

A new 225/55/R17 is priced from $40-85 online, and I was quoted $55. The tech told me he had to use a 80k PSI machine to install the tire rather than the impact driver. When he told me the total for the new tire with installation, the total came to $170 on his calculator, and if I wanted two, it would be $290!!! When I asked why (was the labor rate sky high for a 10-15 min tire change?), he replied with CA disposal taxes, environmental disposal fee, bla bla bla.

Thank goodness I chose to call the place across the street (Alex & Angel's). I got a used tire with 80% tread and 10 min installation out the door for $75. Go there not here.

I came in to get my tire plugged after finding a nail and I have run flats, so I was a little worried but Angel serviced my car so quickly I literally pulled up and he was done in five minutes. I'm not sure if it's cash only but I paid in cash.

As a woman I hate going to car places alone because mechanic dudes usually assume I don't know anything about cars and speak to me in a condescending way, or try to scam me lol. But thankfully this is not the place for that as Angel was very honest and easy to talk to!

Called ahead to see if they'd install replacement tires on replacement wheels that I had already purchase replacements of both parts. Very cheerfully, the guy on the phone assured me the job could be done same day, no problem.

And he was right. Upon my arrival, with virtually no waiting, the work was done with great professionalism and no extraneous "fanfare." The guys in the shop were as pleasant as had been the guy on the phone (I've never understood why it is not uncommon for car maintenance folk to adopt an attitude of dismissiveness, even hostility. Pleasant surprise my experience here was completely the opposite.)

Job done at a fair - very fair - price, and I was on my way. I think their good reviews that prompted me to call them have been well earned.

Quick tire rotation, he did have some doubts about rotating my tires since my van is heavy and he reasoned the best wheels should probably be in back, but that they'd rotate and see how I would do. I was having doubts, thinking maybe i should get some new used tires, and he easily could've probably gotten me to get some. I'm still sort of thinking of getting them, but I'll see how it goes like he said.

The funniest thing was I sought some extra reassurance because the treads were a bit low on my back tires now and i said "i won't like die on my way to Portland right?" And he paused and said "well, if you do it won't be because of your tires"

I will say make sure you have a spare tire release rod if you need it; they don't have any on hand. Also the lot itself is super small, you can usually just pull in, there's not really any official parking spots they just finish things quickly.
It was really nice when i asked for a towel to wipe some grease from my hands because of this hubcap and he also wrapped the greasy hubcap in a shop towel and gave it back to me.

Overall I would definitely go back again and recommend them, they don't try to convince you to buy anything, they just share their opinion on what they're seeing and it's your choice on what you'd like to do :)

Nice guys at this place. It took literally 10 minutes from when I rolled in to get my flat fixed. Super reasonable prices and they took extra care to not scuff or scratch anything.

Great job, super quick and super affordable. I hope I don't have another flat tire, but if I do I'll be sure to go to them.

Called A&A based upon their Yelp reviews... and they were wonderful!

My car was run off the road by some idiot driving a huge SUV late yesterday afternoon. Caused me to run into the curb following which one tire was leaking badly (about a pound every ten minutes) and the other on the same side had a huge gash of rubber removed by the curb. Not a good situation as I needed the car the next day!

They folks at A&A were able to get two tires for my Tesla Model Y right away and the installation was smooth and perfect. These guys are top notch- skilled, personable and kept their promise for fast installation! Tesla tires are very expensive and they charge what Tesla charges, but Tesla wouldn't have been able to get to my car for five days! These guys did it the next morning. Whew! I was able to make a family birthday party down in Palo Alto.

The A&A shop was jammed with cars, tires, etc. and for a good reason- they are great folks and the word is out that they do great work! AAA+++

These guys are so skilled at what they do, and always kind, efficient, and affordable. I have sent friends and family here and they never fail to get you out of whatever bind you're in quickly. My go-to spot!

I used to love coming to this place for all my tire repair needs. I previously found them to be honest, fast, and did things right. For this reason, I kept returning and even recommended to friends.

However, my last couple of patronage have degraded. First, they stopped using a torque wrench to properly tighten lug nuts and instead just use an impact gun. Second, their pricing changes based on the car that you roll in with. When I used to pull up in my old Acura, they charged a lower price to patch my tire which they needed to jack up to remove/reinstall my tire. However, when I pulled up in an Audi with the tire in the truck (so, no need to remove/reinstall), they charged a higher price. IMHO, at minimum, it should have been the same price or less given I had already removed the tire.

At first I gave this business a 5 star for taking me right away for a nail in my tired. I came to get it patched up and I was told that they couldn't patch it and I had to buy a tire. I asked if I can buy a new one and they didn't have one in stock. They suggested I buy a used one for $80 but I did not want to put a used tire when all other 4 were brand new. Later I took my tire that they patched up to Costco and Costco told me that they did not patch up the tire correctly and that they used a gas station plug. So they did not even repair the nail correctly. I am very disappointed and I would not recommend anyone to come here. I feel they tried to take advantage of me because I had a nice car with 4 brand new tires and I am a woman. I do not trust this place of business.
