All About Your Taxes

This was our first year working with Akram and we have been very happy with his services so far. Our last tax accountant left a lot to be desired in terms of communication and timeliness - we finally decided it was time to make the switch. We had an initial consult with Akram late last year and liked the interaction and felt comfortable with his process and so came by again this year when it came time to do our taxes. He provided a very detailed checklist ahead of time of documents we would need to bring with us. You also have the option to upload some documents securely into Smart Vault or just bring hard copies. Since many of my documents are a mix of soft and hard copies, I liked that I had two options to send all the paperwork over.

Akram is very knowledgeable in what he does and asks the right questions to make sure he is checking off all the boxes in how he can maximize your tax return. He also helped us double check that we were withholding enough - the last two years we were surprised with a hefty tax bill but this year we are expecting to get back a sizable return!

Akram offers his services both virtually or in person with a lot of flexibility in appointment time so it was really easy to find a time that worked best with our schedules. Would definitely recommend All About Your Taxes!

Met Akram and John on Dec 28th as they requested for 1 hour to go over all details of my tax returns. Confirmed my acceptance of their quote & services on Jan 5th. Sent them the tax info as expected 8 weeks later...and only then did they tell me they've decided to not help!

So now I'm in the teeth of the tax season with all sensible accountants' locked down for the tax season, but do they care? No. I explained the gravity of the situation, but again they declined to do the quoted/accepted work.

Zero warning, zero explanation, zero apology, zero help!!

So folks, be VERY careful - you may think they're going to help, but you clearly can't rely on that, even when you really need to.

Working with Akram was very easy, and he is very knowledgeable in doing my tax filing which were fairly complex! Would recommend his firm and I'll likely be continuing using his firm to file my taxes in the future!

Very grateful for Akram, who walked me through several open questions I had, with great clarity and insight. He helped us see a more detailed view of our tax situation and provided advice on actions we could take through the year.
