Almonte Spa

Been here a few times. Really enjoy the private hot tubs! Had a few massages here as well. Laurel gave me one of the best massages I've ever gotten. Went in for one of their specials they offer and had a less then good massage. I'm not wimpy with deep tissue massages, but this Swedish massage almost brought tears to my eyes! My massage room was also really cold on the chilly rainy day I went in. I'll definitely go back, but will stick to Laurel for massage.

So nice to have a place to go for a hot tub under the redwood trees and good massage in Mill Valley.

Came here for some relaxation time in their outdoor hot tubs and infrared sauna.
Absolutely loved the Moon hot tub, with a wonderful view looking up at the sky, a tall magnificent tree with the trunk wrapped in beautiful vines, and greenery all around, just a lovely setting.

The infrared sauna was about the size of a clothes store dressing room, with a curtain entrance to the space, the enclosed wooden sauna filled with a reddish hue and a temperature control panel on the side (this space ideal for 1-2 people to sit, but not large enough for lying down). Soft melody in the background, but also the sounds of chatter and movement in the building could be heard.

There are 2-3 showers available. But no hair dryers allowed cuz the massage rooms are all in the same building and the space is not large enough nor strategically arranged to separate the noise (that's a little inconvenient, cuz of course people will wanna take showers after baking like a chicken and sweating their asses off in the sauna, and yeah we probably wanna go out with clean, dry hair after our day at the spa). Still, it's a nice place with decent service nonetheless.

My partner and I were in need of a relaxing weekend, and I happened to stumble upon this spa. Reviews were promising, and it wasn't too pricey, so I decided to book us for an hour hot tub soak.

Booking was very easy, I did it through their website, and it was hassle free. We arrived 10 minutes early to our appointment, and we were immediately brought in. The staff kindly showed us where everything was and how to operate the tub.

The spa and tubs areas were super clean and well kept. There are shower areas outside and spently of space for you to put your items down in the tub room. Make sure to bring some slippers and a towel. They provide shampoo, conditioners, and body wash. Overall experience was super relaxing and tranquil. We definelty felt way rejuvenated after the soak and will be back.

Some areas that can be improved/what I wished - the doors to the hot tubs don't lock from the inside, so there is a chance that anyone can just walk onto the room. I also wish they implemented private showers in the hot tub rooms. This would be a nice addition to elevating the overall experience.

What a hidden gem at such an affordable price! We reserved a hot tub for 30 minutes for $30/per person. It's situated in a small house along the side of the road. It's an older spa but the hot tub is worth it alone. There are two tubs - the moon and the sun. We got the sun but would request the moon the next time. Bring your own towels so you don't have to rent theirs. No frills, all soaks!

I have been going to Almonte Spa for over 1.5years. I bought their Series package (buy 10 -1hr massage get 2 free) which lower the price to $120 for an hour instead of $155. I used to see Jameson but he is no longer part of the team, I now see Izuzu and Jeannice who are both AMAZING in their own style. Isuzu is very gentle, Jeannice "listens" to your body thru her hands. I always make appt with either of them. I sometimes go to the hot tub for their 30min session at $50 for 2 people on weekdays.

It was the best 45 min spend in the hot tub after a sleepless stormy night on a house boat in Salsalito.
I will definitely return and bring friends. Thanks for existing.

Love the outdoor hot tub with the redwood view above us. The massage was good. Shout out to the young Asian lady for a very nice massage. :)

I can hear the whistle and kids playing baseball next to the spa place. I was annoyed and it ruined my supposedly relaxing time. I know it's not the spa's fault.

When we're done and about to leave, no one was at the front desk. We waited for 10 mins and still no staff at the front. So we decided to leave since I know they have my card info and will call us anyway.

When one of the staff called, the girl overcharged me. I had to do the math to make sure I wasn't over paying. Then she realized she was charging me $10 more for the package.

We drove all the way from San mateo for the experience. Sadly, my experience was not what I expected to be.

Came here with a group of friends - booked the day of and had a great 45 min soak with my friends! Love the outdoor spa and it was really a relaxing and smooth experience from coming in to getting into the outdoor space. It's super private and it's a great time with good friends. The water is warm and the jets are comfortable.

Shout out to Nudge for telling me about Almonte Spa! I booked a 30min jacuzzi for 2 and it was exactly what we needed! My husband and I play Airsoft every Saturday so by Sunday we are sore, tired and in need of relaxation before our work week starts on Monday. We drove up from San Jose and even though we left early enough to arrive to our appointment 10 mins early, we hit traffic and were running about 15 mins behind. I called the Spa and spoke with Coral who was so incredibly kind! She let me know that usually they are busy and can't really accommodate for lost time but yesterday she had some wiggle room and we still got our full 30 minutes. You're the best Coral!
We were in the "Moon room" which was absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and quiet. We had a gorgeous view of a redwood above us. 30 mins was plenty of time for us and we were so relaxed!
We brought our own towels (they do have towels you can use for a fee of 3$ from what I've read in other reviews), they have an outdoor shower to rinse off before and after your time in the jacuzzi. There is a bathroom with a shower as well if you prefer. We didn't do any of the other services, the jacuzzi was enough relaxation for us.
It's safe to say we will be back in the future!
