Joe was awesome to work with. He came to give me a bid for some repair work after another company had just "cleaned" and provided their bid. Joe politely pointed out that the prior company had not done a good job. (They ended up coming back out and agreeing the job was shotty.)
Joe gave me options and went above and beyond to make sure both of my chimneys were repaired, painted and capped. My home is 75 years old so there's always surprises. Joe managed them all.

We discovered that our dryer duct was impeded and needed immediate attention - we had no idea that one of the leading causes of home fires was a clogged dryer duct (Joe told us this - and wow, a surprise to us). He was 100% professional and courteous on the phone, offering to shuffle his schedule to meet with us the very next day. A more courteous, professional, knowledgable and honest young man you could not find - Joe was a true blessing for us. Quickly assessed and resolved the issue, we were back up and running within the hour. I am so grateful I found Joe and Aloha Home Services. I was looking for chimney sweep and gutter repair services. I suspected other issues with our fireplace/chimney because of smoke and a gas smell that had been coming from the fireplace for a while.

However, the previous professionals that had come out to our house had said that only a chimney sweep was needed and it would fix the problems. After seeing all the positive reviews, I contacted Aloha Home Services and Joe immediately responded to set up a time to come out to our home. Once Joe got to our house, it was immediately clear he knows his stuff and much more than any of the other "professionals" that had been out to service our fireplace/chimney. He thoroughly explained what he was going to look at and why, I could tell he actually cared about being detailed and making sure I fully understood what he was looking at.

After a thorough review, Joe diagnosed the cause of the smoke and gas smell coming from our fireplace. He recommended a firebox cleaning and chimney repair to go with the chimney sweep, because it was clear the brick on our chimney and our fireplace was worn down and had cracks throughout. I was not surprised by this since our house is over 50 years old and I don't know if the fireplace/chimney had been serviced with anything more than a chimney sweep over that time.

Joe gave a quote for the services and I couldn't believe it because the same services would be quote 2-3 times more by most other companies. I told Joe to go ahead with the job and he immediately got to work with his assistant, Eric. Once he got to work, I could see a lot of the brick on our chimney/fireplace fall off with just a touch because it was so worn down. I cannot believe none of the previous "professionals" noticed this. Joe and Eric spent several hours over cleaning our fireplace and sealing all of the cracks, and repairing our chimney, re-securing the brick and sealing the base to stop leaking. They also went around the roof and took care of other minor issues that they spotted around the house, even though this wasn't part of what they had to do.

Joe and Eric finished the job very timely (including the chimney sweep, gutter cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning) and everything looked fantastic! It was above any of my expectations and each of the jobs was performed with lots of care and detail. There was also staining on our fireplace that we had never been able to get out, but Joe recommended a $10 spray from Amazon that took care of the problem and let us put on a new coat of paint. Throughout the whole process, Joe explained each step and showed genuine care the job was done right for me and my family.

In the end, all I can say is thank you Joe and Aloha Home Services. I feel like we have a fireplace and chimney remodel for a fraction of the cost. After years of wasting money by having people come out only to provide a band aid and not actually fix the problem, Joe and Aloha Home Services came out and did the job right. Not only does everything look new again, our family is safer without the gas and smoke coming into our living room. Finally. If you need anything for your fireplace/chimney or gutters, you have to call Joe and Aloha Home Services!

This is the man the myth the legend when it comes to dryer vent cleaning.He went above and beyond for my wife and I making sure it was clean. Got so much lint out of exhaust and vacuumed and cleaned.He was both fast and efficient and explained everything as he was cleaning. The pricing was great and even showed us how to clean other vents in our home before leaving!! Hire this guy and your dryer issues will be gone!!Thanks Joe..

Quick appointment. New what he was talking about. Quick and clean. Love the small business feel but that's because we own a business ourself. So anytime we can use a small business we will. Definitely recommend this company. I'm glad we were able to get someone so quickly. Soot was leaking out and we use our fireplace daily. I knew he wasn't trying the blow smoke either because he recommended service every two years. I will be pre booking with him.

I called Joe yesterday and he was available the same day.
He was so nice, knowledgeable, and a very personable family guy. I couldn't get any pictures of the dryer duct that he did, but I was able to catch a quick pic of the rat he found under my fire place. He was very through, and was decent priced. Not cheap, but not as expensive as some others. Reasonably priced. His reviews are what originally made me call him. Some of the other reviews from other companies looked sketchy like they were paid for. He lives up to his reputation!!

Joe was great! Timely, thorough and reasonably priced. He takes pride in his work and it shows. He cleaned our dryer vents and I will be calling him for our next project.
