Like many others my AC was broken in the heat of over 100 degrees. I have called Sam, he was in my house the same day and provide a new AC. In two days my House was cool again...perfect timing, perfect price in a shortest time...I am so happy with this company. Will definitely recommend it to everyone in the Bay area...

Samir assisted me in installing my ADU A/C and relocating my main house AC condenser. I found him to be extremely communicative, patiently explaining the intricacies of each task to ensure I fully understood the process.

The ADU A/C, a two-zone mini-split heat pump AC, was expertly installed by Samir's team. They took care to install the line sets before covering the ceilings and walls, returning later to install the outdoor and in-house units in a second phase.

Regarding the main house AC condenser, Samir's team identified a refrigerant leak caused by a king valve issue. Despite requiring an extra visit to rectify the problem after the delivery of R22 refrigerant, they handled the situation with professionalism.

Given the nature of my projects, Samir and his team made multiple visits to ensure everything was completed to satisfaction. I'm grateful for Samir's reasonable pricing and the exceptional quality of their work. I wholeheartedly recommend Samir to any homeowners in need of HVAC services.

Pros: Samir seems like a great guy, friendly and helpful. Great quote that, adjusting for different products, is probably 20% cheaper than others. He mentioned it's a family business that has been running for 20+ years, which deserves all the respect.

Cons: Terrible follow-up with consistent broken commitments. Here are just some highlights:
1) Our HVAC was leaking, Samir said he would show up around 5pm -- it ended up being just about 7pm.
2) He said would send a detailed quote the next day -- that ended up being a text message with three bullet points.
3) We asked about permitting, SEER rating, and comparison to another HVAC -- no response.

All of this would be forgivable except Samir had turned our HVAC off. He said would come by Friday to turn it back on, that didn't happen. We reached out again on Saturday, he said he forgot and would come by that day, also didn't happen. Same outreach on Sunday with exact same outcome. Each time Samir committed to a specific time and simply didn't show up, with no follow-up. Note the HVAC lives in the attic, we could have even borrowed a ladder to reach there, but are not experienced enough to know what to do. So we ended up with a full week without heating or cooling, until another contractor came by.

Bottomline my wife and I have mixed feelings writing this review because we really want Samir's business to succeed. But we feel aggrieved and also want to alert other customers given our experience.

Very bad service, would not return calls. They are very responsive only if you want to install an AC as they can get a lot of money. For repair and such pain to deal with. Absolutely would not recommend these guys.

When the furnace at my mom's home went out, I called around in order to get it fixed. The first place that I called said that they could come out in 7 days. In addition, the amount that they wanted to charge me was almost $200. Fortunately, I then called Altai Heating & Air. Their initial cost was less than $100 and they were able to come out the next day.

Once Altai came out, they were able to determine the root problem. They gave me options. In no way did they try to persuade my decision. Once I made my choice, they were able to replace our 30 year old furnace within 4 hours.

The service, communication and follow through were all stellar. I would highly recommend Altai Heating & Air for any of your needs.

My old furnace did not work. After review of 3 estimates from different contractors, I chose Sam's service from Altai to replace with a new one. Sam is always punctual, responsive and professional. Strongly recommend!

A repairman identified our furnace as too old and unsafe. He recommended Sam and Altai to install a new one. I called Sam on a late Tuesday afternoon. He came out to our house after 7 pm that evening to survey the job, and said he and his crew could have a new furnace up and running by the next evening. Sure enough, they arrived at 1 pm the next afternoon and by between 4 and 5 pm they had removed the old furnace, got the gas connection up to code and a new furnace was warming the house when I got home from work. The whole process was incredibly seamless and easy. Needless to say, I was mighty impressed. Cannot recommend them enough.

Sam and his crew replaced my old furnace with a new Carrier furnace in 1 afternoon. Sam gave me a 2 tears warranty with parts and labor and a 10 years warranty with parts.

The installation went well and I would recommend Sam's company to anyone who needs a new furnace in the future.
