Leo provided excellent communication as well as prompt service.I contacted Leo on a Monday morning for a tree removal and within an hour he was at my property and provided a very reasonable estimate. The tree was removed three days later. He also removed all of the debris, so convenient! I highly recommend this business based on my experience.

I called them about a month ago to give me a quote on a property where I needed a bunch of work to be done. The gentleman was here on time and we walked through the property and he recommended what needed to be done in order for the trees and bushes to thrive. I did not end up using their service. We are still in discussion with the city about the overall work , but their price quote was a bit lower than what other companies gave me.
I will use them if I ever pull the trigger

Great service! Called Alvarado Tree Service on Sunday evening before the Memorial Day holiday. I thought I'd hear back after the holiday to discuss an estimate for a tree removal and tree topping. I received a call back almost immediately. Leo said he was available to come out that evening (Sunday) and provide an estimate. He as right on time, took a look at the two trees and provided a very reasonable estimate and said he'd let me know when he could get me into his schedule.

Leo scheduled me for the following Thursday. As agreed, he and his crew arrived on time and prepared to do the work. They were fast and efficient. All the work was done to my satisfaction. When completed, they thoroughly cleaned the area and even removed debris that wasn't part of the job.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the work and the workers. I'm keeping their contact information for future work. Very highly recommended.

We have a large property in Oakland, and we lost about 7 trees this year. Standing dead trees are a fire risk, and the best way to handle them is to cut them up and leave them on the ground, where they will rot naturally. We hired Alvarado Tree Service to do this, and they were on time, effective, efficient, pleasant to work with, and cleaned up every place they worked (even in the places with poison oak!). We will hire them again.

Alavarado Tree Service GETS IT while other companies do not. Leo Alvarado knows the secret ingredient in the sauce. The secret ingredient is: responding in a timely fashion to emails/texts will win a customer over. I inquired two other five star rated companies for tree service but neither matched Leo's response rate.

One company's bid was 300 dollars lower than Alvarado Tree Service, but never responded with a written estimate. The other company's representative said that he would get back to me in five to 10 minutes after I made the call. He called me two to three hours later. My interpretation was that he wasn't interested in my business.

There is no excuse for a company not to get back to its customers in a timely fashion. It's not they are busy but rather the company doesn't place a high priority in its treatment of its customers.

Based upon the reviews I read, I am sure that I would be satisfied with their services. But Alavarado Tree Service knows what it takes to get to the finish line.

One item I forgot to mention when I originally wrote my remarks. Leo and his crew did not do a great job pruning our tree but left our front patio immaculate after the pruning.

Alvarado came to give me a quote the day after calling. Nice guy. Responsive and on time. I went someone else who had a better pricing, but definitely get a quote from Alvarado.

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the shelter-in-place order currently in effect. **

About a month prior to the current shelter-in-place order, I had been looking on Yelp for an arborist who could address a lot of overgrown trees on my property. I'm not the green thumb type, so there were branches jutting and foliage spreading in different directions, including some sturdy wisteria on a wooden arbor that found its way over the fence to my neighbor's yard. Leo came over and gave me a general estimate for the work and we settled on a date. Then COVID-19 hit hard...

Over three months of mandatory social distancing elapsed, just enough time for not only the wisteria to get out of control but a huge cherry tree coming from other properties starting to encroach on ours. I reconnected with Leo, and within a week, he provided a new estimate for the work and gathered his crew to trim all the trees and clean up the foliage. They removed weeds and dead plants and cleaned our roof and gutters. It was all done in a half-day for a very fair price. I would definitely recommend them for tree work when you need it done right.

Answered my inquiry right away. Came out, gave an explanation of what they would do to trim my two olive trees. Gave me a price quote with a date of service. After a couple more quotes, I went with this company.
So glad we did. My husband was so impressed with the job they did today. He wanted to make sure I was going to post a review & be sure to mention: they also did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves.
They even priced matched another company's quote that was a bit less expensive.

OMG! Leo and his workers are THE BEST. Very professional equipment, they came right on time, quickly and professionally removed my dying tree including a big stump, and at a fair price. Go no further. Hire these guys. And know that I'm not averse to giving a bad review. Alvarado Tree FULLY deserves this 5-star review.
