I love this movie theater so much. When I moved back to NYC I began searching for that one movie theater where id wanna see all my movies. It took me a year and half to find the perfect one. I'll tell you why this is it. 1) it's near amazing food. This is really important in establishing a "go to theather"
      2) Relaxing recliner seats. Every theater in here has em. And you get to reserve your seats so no issues. 3) It's clean. I've never walked in here and complained to my movie date about the cleanliness. Bathrooms are kept clean too. 4) Something about the quality of people that attend this theater is awesome. Been going here for 2 years now and never been in a theater with obnoxious people. No screaming/crying kids, no one yelling a loud. I think the seat reservations help that. 5) The staff is nice and sweet. It's mostly sweet old ladies that make the experience a tad bit nicer and welcoming.

I hope this doesn't change. I don't wanna have to find another go to theater. I like it here

Don't miss Sing Sing, a movie that will leave you with such emotion and appreciation for the stars, some formerly incarcerated, who have made a new life for themselves through theater and the performing arts. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Colman Domingo is a star but he's among several other stars with great futures.

Clean albeit small theater! Maybe I'm just used to the AMC in Philly but I was slightly disappointed they don't actually bring food to your seat BUT it makes sense because the only offer snacks, not true meals.

Saw a Screen Unseen and sat in the front row, which I normally hate but that's all that was available. My neck didn't hurt and I could still see the whole screen which was great, however I won't be sitting front row again lol.

Came to see a movie this afternoon. Horrible experience from start to finish.
None of the devices worked so it took 5-10 minutes to check you in. The person letting people in had no idea what she was doing.
I went upstairs 4 older men were in my seat. They seemed homeless( that is just my opinion) I had to sit in the row behind. please keep in mind the theatre was relatively empty so there was no reason for someone to be in my seat. There was another friend of theirs sitting 2 seats down. These men talked throughout the movie and they were loud. the guy in my row was on the phone and watching music videos and it was loud. If I had to guess they did not buy tickets because they had no interest in the move. They were slurping like 2 year olds. I did not feel safe, I would strongly recommend skipping this theater. Management is terrible and they are just people in off the street for free that have no interest in the movie. did I mention 2 of the 5 left early...I have n ever had a movie experience like this ...

I came by here to watch a movie over the weekend. It is much smaller than other movie theaters I have seen. You enter in the front where there is a ticket counter and a candy/snack section. Normally you order the snacks after passing the ticket booth but here is different. You have to go upstairs to see the screenings. The screening rooms were not very spacious. You have the reclining chairs but are packed in with several other people. You can easily see someone turn on their phone and use it in the dark room. It was an interesting experience but not worth it overall. I would rather go to a larger theater to have more space and enjoy the movie without distractions.

      Updated review

Among all the AMC theaters in the city, this one may be on the smaller side, but it certainly packs a punch.

The lobby, where you purchase tickets, get concessions, and scan tickets, can get quite busy, especially before popular films like "The Color Purple" - my most recent experience at this location. However, the staff excels at managing the crowds effectively.

While most theaters here may not be as spacious as the ones at 34th and 42nd, the comfortable reclining seats make every movie thoroughly enjoyable.

Consider this theater your low-key option if you prefer to avoid crowds. Plus, if you reside in Brooklyn, it happens to be the closest AMC to you. (On a side note: I do hope they consider adding an AMC in Brooklyn soon - we could really use it.)

We were in the area for an event & wanted to watch the Guardians of the Galaxy & this was the nearest one. Considering the 42nd one this AMC is quite small. I liked the view of the street from upstairs a lot.

Most of the area is clean, decor is ok. Bathrooms are small & clean. The service was good.

The theater was decent size, the seats were all sold out . That's a first after a long time , so we end up on the front row lol..! First time for everything! Seats were reclining so that helped . Btw the person next to me was complaining that his seat is broken, so they gotta fix stuff too.

The movie was really good. We enjoyed a lot!

I try to frequent AMC village 7 when I can as an avid movie goer. It's quiet and clean. I usually go to AMC 42nd because of the more times and movies available. However, that can come with a lot of noise while watching the movie.
I had the pleasure of stopping in and seeing Nightswim. Staff is very friendly, and it's a pleasure to see our elders working and still going strong.
The theater was clean, seats comfortable, and no unruly loud people during the movie, always the best.
Popcorn was really good. I didn't need any salt at all. My drink is usually a combination of peach, cherry, strawberry, low calories, or no sugar lemonade.
Nightswim wasn't as bad as I've heard. The movie kept me engaged and showed the bond and love a father had for his family. The seating is very comfortable, and the chairs actually recline all the way back. Some recliners in their other theaters dont, and you can actually enjoy the movie in peace.

For a theatre that isn't on any main street, the tickets are on the pricier side. Besides this, the theatre itself is very small. I walked past the ticket stand by accident because I thought it would be deeper in the building, like other theatres I've been to.

The seating area and bathrooms were mostly clean and well-maintained. I did have some difficulty finding the bathrooms, but the workers were happy to help out. Overall, my only glaring issue with this theatre is the size of it.

This is the ghettoest AMC in town. Pls go to any other AMC. I came on a Saturday and the workers were openly drinking slushies from the concession cups. There was no one at the Guest Service desk, and I tried to get AMC MoviePass set up and they told me I can only do it online. I called the manager who repeated they only do it online. Did not offer support at all just trying to direct to the website.

I am leaving two stars for the sweet grandma who worked the ticket stand.

Great reclining seats but $10 for the smallest popcorn?? And it was terrible--overly salted and greasy. Disgraceful.
