      How much to enter?

      A:

Mall is free, but depends on what activity you want to do, each has different prices. Parking is free for 1st hour and $5 after that. The game day (jets or giants) can be crazy.

    • Q:

If you go during winter, are there lockers for you to leave your coats if you'd like to go on rides?

      A:

For DreamWorks, yes there are lockers for rental. I have not been to Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park but my guess is that side should have lockers too.

If you are looking for a place to let the kids run wild and do a little shopping in between, then the American Dream Mall can come in clutch.

You probably already know plenty about the shopping aspect here - there are a wide variety of shops that will make sure you leave broke. So, I'll go over a few important things for families:

      1. The closest parking lots to the amusement parks are B and C, and parking costs $5 for the day.

      2. All of the amusement parks charge for tickets. However, Nickelodeon Park can be accessed without tickets.

      3. The carts for kids cost $10 to rent.

      4. There is filtered water near the bathrooms. So don't blow $4 on bottled water.

      5. There are small interactive installments throughout the mall where the kids can play besides the amusement parks.

This mall is by far one of the best in NJ. It's definitely a place where you can end up staying the whole day - and blowing your entire paycheck - at!

This mall for me is a hit or miss, anytime I visit. Years ago, I worked in this mall and it is a hike to get from one area to the next - of course, depending on where you are going.

On the flip side, I love the variety you can find in the mall. There are restaurants of all kinds - fast food found in the food court - and many other areas with fine dining and fun experiences like the Wine Bar, Vinoteca. There's a Starbucks as well, Cinnabon, Mrs. field, and whenever I visit there are more and more restaurant and stores added - like the H Mart! (I was very happy about this addition)

The mall even houses endless entertainment like the aquarium, black light mini gold, Big Snow, the Game room, ice skating, the theme park and more.

My cons: SO MANY PEOPLE - it very often feels congested esp in busier areas like the bottom floor with the aquarium, h mart and stage. parking can sometimes be a hassle with the amount of ppl attending the mall.

All in all, the place is good in the sense that there are so many options. I will still definitely be visiting and checking out the new additions they quite often have.

I love coming to the American Dream Mall and trying new places out. Each time I come I always discover new things to do. There are a ton of stores to shop at including Zara, Aritzia, Primark, high end stores and more!

They also have a ton of entertainment spots including: ice rink, arcades, water park, Nickelodeon theme park, big snow and more.

They also have many dining options. They have two food courts (one on each side) and a bunch of restaurants. My favorite is the Yard House and Vinoteca for a wine tasting experience.

If you're in the area you have to check them out!

Went to the mall in the evening hours. Far less crowded, easily found parking in Lot A first floor. Restaurants and stores in Court A didn't have wait times at all. Good time to be here.

All elevators, escalators were filly functional. The dining area of Court A is elegant and well maintained.

American Dream is where the nighmare begins at the parking gararge that costs you money to park. Like how do you want me to come to a mall when I have to pay.

Anyway, I come here for one thing only... business transaction!

This place is a huge mall which can be somewhat overwhelming when you first walk in.
But you can find every selection of stores from very high end to your run of the mill stores in other malls. It is great place to walk and take in the sights. Parking can be a nightmare especially if there is something going on at Met life.
I do love all the uniquely designed places of seating areas and there's this forest where you can take great photos. If you do ride share with Lyft and Uber, you need to go down to Garage A or D. That can be sort of complicated but can always ask security or customer info for help.

This place is amazing! You need at least 2 days to experience it all. It is great for the family to spend time here.

More and more stores, restaurants and home goods coming in. It's actually one of the primary malls I would go during weekends.

I wish I started coming here sooner! This place has so much to do, so much so you won't get through it all in 1 day. And everything is, and can be, expensive. A lot of these places do run sales if you follow their social media accounts, and AAA also runs a discount for a select number of experiences. But with that being said, let's just get into it?

      THE DRIVE
From Philadelphia, it's about 1.5 hours via I-95, but tolls are expensive ($40/day with EZ Pass). Avoiding tolls takes 2 hours and more gas. Your choice.

      PARKING
      Parking is $5 all day.

On days when there's an event at the MetLife Stadium it is $40. But you can get it validated ONLY if you do an experience like snowboarding/skiing, the waterpark, amusement park, ice skating, the American Dream wheel just to name a few.

So basically, if you're paying for an experience, within the mall, you can get the parking back down to $5. Otherwise, you may be screwed.

Don't leave your parking ticket in the car. Bring it with you. Keep it in your wallet. Before you leave, you have to pay for parking. You can either pay for it inside at a kiosk, pay for it with your phone via Apple pay & scanning the QR code, or pay for it while exiting the parking garage at the kiosk booth. You have 25 minutes upon paying for your ticket to exit the parking garage before you're asked to pay for it again.

      UBER/LYFT/SHUTTLE
If you're staying in the area, many hotels offer shuttle services. Those will drop you off at level 1. Level 1 has NOTHING else on it besides parking and cars. Level 2 is when the stars and mall entrance starts.

Also, if you're trying to catch a lyft/uber out or into the place, that will happen on level 1. Just so you're aware!

      HOTELS
There's plenty of hotel stays in and around the area, just check out the collections on my page for a few of them. I will regularly update it as time goes on. Some of the hotels do provide shuttle service to the mall as it is not within walking distance.

      FOOD
So many food choices and options to choose from in a many different areas of the mall!

      BATHROOMS
Most of the bathrooms most of the time are very clean and tidy, but during high volume times or after high volume times they are a huge mess! But that's normal, no matter where you go. People will be people.

      OVERALL
I know this is a short review, but the experiences themselves get massive reviews from me if not entire blog posts on my website/blog, "dreamlikediana." Reviewing the mall as a whole, it is amazing, it is clean and tidy. There is a lot to do here, but it takes a lot of time to get through it all. Great place for family fun or a solo adventure! Not a far drive from Philly, but I also know people come out from out of state. Lots of hotel choices.

The only location to have a Toys R Us, and they have this train for kids from Toys R Us that goes around the mall which is really cute!
