Garrett Miller from American Engery came to perform the annual HVAC system maintenance check, and he did a fantastic job.

He identified two problems, fixed one, and provided the solution to the other problem so I could fix it myself.

We were extra thrilled with our experience with American Energy since it's so rare these days to find a company that not only provides excellent products/workmanship, but that also provides excellent customer service. Every aspect of our job and every person we dealt with was just great.

We found out our 20 year old AC wasn't working the first time we turned it on this season, and with a warm week ahead, we were anxious to get it replaced ASAP. Brian was at our house the same day we requested a quote, was very nice and helpful, and super speedy providing the quote and contract so that our job could be done right away (completed just 2 days later!).

Gary and Jimmy were awesome during the install, and Josh was extremely helpful with some follow up questions we had. And Nancy in the office is totally on top of things, with amazing communication, and also super nice.

Oh, and they were even $2K cheaper than our other quote! Best service AND best price?! A rare thing indeed. Highly recommend!

It was time once again to have our AC checked out before the temperatures really get out of hand and Hagen was delightful! The first time he came out (a few weeks ago) was for a "tuneup" and I thought the price was really a bargain for the peace of mind it offered.

He suggested a couple things that could improve the longevity of our unit, but stressed that it wasn't strictly necessary. We decided to get one of the suggested upgrades and he just took care of that today. I think it was well worth the cost - hopefully we will even see a reduction in our monthly energy bills.

But the best part was how pleasant it was interacting with Hagen and how quickly he did the high quality job. He definitely went the extra mile to help us understand all he did, our options, and help us feel confident that our unit won't crap out on us like it did last year (needed a new capacitor - somehow I forgot to have it checked last year before the summer hit. Totally my bad).

I'm going to call them toward the end of summer to take a look at our heater. I highly recommend these guys!

Cannot recommend them enough!!! Our AC stopped working right before a heat wave of 105+. With two littles at home, it was impossible to stay here. I called American Energy, and they sent Hagen out within 1.5 hours. Hagen was awesome, and able to diagnose and fix our issue super quickly. Great guy, too. Could not recommend this place enough.

Estimate from another company was for Freon only, but the scope of work wasn't enough to fix my problem. Garrett provided a 2nd opinion for my AC unit's Freon leak from recent wind damage. He completed the work quickly and with the highest integrity. I'll definitely be a repeat customer, and thank you for the excellent work.

This review is a little late and long, but so well deserved, I didn't want to let it go. I hope that if you ever are in need of heating and air service or sales you will go directly to American Energy Heating and Air. Let me go through person by person to convey my appreciation and recommendation.

First of all, Dawn answered our initial call in a friendly and confidence inspiring manner. She helped us get an appointment with the amazing Garrett.

Any company would be happy to have Garrett as their initial face of the company. He came out and sold us on American, not with high pressure tactics but with a very thorough analysis and explanation of what was going on with us. His explanation which involved letting us know that we didn't need to do anything right away, but what was available and recommended sold us on upgrading our system. Great guy and outstanding representative!

Ryan then came out and went through the pricing process. I need to now say that we had done years of business with one of the big heavily marketed companies which shall remain nameless and been through their pushy and very expensive recommendations. Ryan was anything but pushy and explained the benefits and pricing of his recommendation. His low key and informative approach and the fact that American was over $10,000 less expensive than the other company made it easy for us to want to go with them.

We made our appointment and a couple of weeks later, Efraim and Quinn came out. These guys are young but boy did they know their stuff. They were very neat, polite and professional and installed a beautiful well priced combination furnace and air conditioner for us in a bout a day and a half.

Then a very professional Nancy made an appointment with us to have Matt, the owner come out and repair a piece of molding that needed touching up.

Matt was so wonderful and his attitude showed us why the company is so well managed through and through. He also helped us work with the city/county to get the permits accomplished. Customer service starts at the top and Matt epitomizes outstanding customer service.

Finally, I just called the company to get the names needed for the review and Ashley helped me with that (I didn't forget you Ashley).

We can't recommend American Energy Heat and Air highly enough. Don't just take our word for it. They have tons of great reviews that led us to them in the first place. You really need to skip the big companies with the big prices and big sales pitches and go with American Energy. I guarantee that you will be very satisfied.

We needed a second opinion re a quote we had recently received for HVAC service and repair. Ahmed came out, spent at least 2 hours going over everything. Furnace checked out fine. AC in great shape except for very low freon. He was finished, we were sitting at my table talking about the system...I asked how the fan motor looked on the outside unit. Surprised, he said, "just fine!...why?" and that's when I confessed that AEH&A was our second opinion crew. He and I went out to inspect the fan motor that another company claimed was spewing oil and clearly on its last legs. "Nope, it's just fine." said Ahmed. I appreciate their honesty, ease to work with, and their integrity. I highly recommend American Energy Heat and Air for all HVAC work.

I had called another company before I called American, and the other company was going to charge more and do less!

American had more of a wait time (I think a couple weeks), but they only charged me $50 for a tune-up of my AC, they communicated well, the technician wore those little booties in my house and wore a mask when I requested, and they did all of the things on my tune-up checklist.

I especially liked how they asked me which door to use going in and out so as to not disturb my dog. Super professional and competent.

Since they came and did my tune-up, I'm feeling more cool air in my office than I did before. Totally worth the money!

Before leaving, he also went over all the things they did. I will definitely use them again this winter for my heater tune-up.

We had Technician Greg R come service our unit and he was incredible. If we could give him 10 stars we would. He was pleasant, very respectful of our 2 dogs and 2 children. He could train technicians his customer service was top notch and the rest of their fleet could easily follow his lead.

Service fee is reasonable around $90 and the entire job ended up being $1300 (which initially felt steep but is comparable to today's market price).

Efficient and timely response to an emergency furnace failure. Ryan provided a reasonable quote and got the work done quick. The service was performed properly with good follow up with the County of Sacramento to obtain the permit. It was especially helpful since I was managing everything remotely. Tenant was happy with the service provided.
