American Leak Detection

We had a huge water bill last month and knew we had a leak but saw no visible evidence of water. Most plumbers don't do leak detection so we reached out to American Leak Detection. Their team responded immediately and sent someone out first thing the next morning. The employee was so knowledgeable and passionate about the work. He explained the process, confirmed we had a leak, and gave us the leak's precise location. Our insurance ended up covering the cost of their service so it's worthwhile to check your coverage!

While I hope you never need a leak detection company, it is reassuring to have a company like this when you need help! Highly recommend!

We had a leak that our usual plumber could not locate so he recommended American Leak Detection. They got me an appointment like two days out which I thought was great, they found the leak within minutes. They gave me a quote for the repair and I called them later and they got me an appointment 2 weeks out. Which they moved up 12 days to make it two days out which I also thought was amazing.
Trevor came out this morning and he was great! Very friendly and professional and kept me informed throughout the job. He did a fantastic job fixing the problem and went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned!

I called the number posted on yelp and there is a guy called Vince picked up the call 20 min ago. He was not patient at all. Very rude and aggressive when I tried to offer more information about the leak I had recently. He kept talking on top of me. When I asked him to stop being rude to me, he argued and became more aggressive. This was the first time I have ever encountered situation like this in my area. This guy doesn't represent this company and should be fired right away.

This company is fabulous! It is not our first time using them. They have come to our property a few times for broken underground irrigation. They have never let us down.
This week we had a damp spot in our drive, that turned into a puddle, that quickly within a couple of hours turned into a cascade that started showing water 20 feet from where we first noticed it to the other side of the property. We knew we had issues. We had an earthquake the night before and thought fore sure it had something to do with it.
Sadly it was Saturday, so I called but they were closed, so I left a message. We shut our water off and turned it on only as necessary until Monday. I got a call first thing Monday morning. Vince was awesome, he said we are booked out today but let me see what I can do, if not we will come first thing tomorrow. He called me later in the day and said he had good news they were on their way! Michael shows up, asks a couple questions, pulls out the detector and goes on the hunt. I ask a lot of questions and he is happy to answer. He gives a great analogy of what he is listening for and what he is looking to hear. When he finds it he says hear that! Yes Sir I do and the analogy was spot on! He does some testing places the mark and gives me a repair estimate. Runs through the repair info and some details of what happens. I call Vince, ask some questions and he tells me they can
fix it tomorrow! Start to finish, concrete and all and Michael will be the one coming back out. Perfect!
7:30am time. Arrived when scheduled, ready to get into it! He explained the whole thing including worst case, no surprises. Of course our pipe wasn't normal and our concrete was thick so it was more than the original estimate (but all things known prior) Michael worked all day on his own to get this cut, dug, repaired, buried and concreted, tinted and speckled just like it was from start to finish in less than 24 hours. Excellent job! With as much of the mess cleaned as possible. While it wasn't cheap, you don't expect it will be with the range of service they offer as a complete start to finish service, the peace of mind you get with it being one person from finding it to finishing it is worth it!
No questions were ever a bother, no problems with you watching, very honest and courteous! Vince and Michael both worked hard to get us back up and running! You guys are truly an asset to this company! Thank you!

I had a leak in an irrigation pipe running under a slab, I can identify the general location but Andrew from American Leak detection came and using his listening equipment and using a gas, he managed to pin point the leak and mark it down. Once we removed the concrete and revealed the pipe leak. It was within 4" from Andrew's mark. This was pretty impressive!

Today, I had my first experience working with North Bay & Peninsula American Leak Detection, after we suspected a water leak. The technician came on time, quickly realized we were looking at the wrong meter, and explained to us there's no leak. In addition, he also turned on the sprinkler system and asked us to flush all the toilets in the house to make sure nothing is leaking there. He was very helpful and courteous, and the whole service experience was very pleasant. Next time, if, god forbid, we have a real water leak, they'll be the first company we call

Horrible service. They come for a visit and claimed to find a leak and made a patch. It completely did not work. We were travelling out of the country and it was raining so we did not follow up immediately afterwards. They refuse to come back to recheck for free and want to charge $695 for a recheck.
Save your $695 and look for someone more reliable and responsible

Initially left a one star rating for this business. But I had a follow up call from them and they were very caring and sent a tech to fix the problem they created during the first visit. They did not locate the leak but clarified that they only find leaks in the plumbing and not the waterfall structure. They offered partial refund and settled the matter amicably.

Fast and thorough service at my home in St.Helena. Very polite and good communication, provided the necessary recommendation upon diagnosing our leak.

These guys are real pros. Not inexpensive, but they know what they're doing. I used them years ago (another branch) and remembered how good they were. When i discovered that I had a small leak in my irrigation system recently, I called them and they quickly responded and found it. Well done.
