Update: Marlon, a real G, listened to my complaints attentively and tried to address them as best possible. I almost NEVER have the guts to complain because I hate confrontation but my money is hard earned so I went back inside after getting my key. He heard me out and was apologetic and quick to acknowledge me this time. Ask for Marlon when you get here!

3.75/5 (And my 500th Review, whoooo!)

I really want to give this place five stars because the customer service, for the most part, is stellar! The shop is well maintained, clean, and the air conditioning is welcome on a hot summer day, that's for sure. All the staff is wearing masks and seem to be happy and healthy.

Last Friday, I called ahead and asked what the wait time was for a walk-in and got a very friendly + clear and direct answer and was able to rush over and get checked in within 20 minutes! They are efficient and organized. I took my car in because my front driver side tire was losing pressure even after I added air. While looking at my tires, I also found a NAIL in my rear tire.

My rear driver side tire was not fixable because of where the nail was located, so they let me know they needed to install a new tire. I don't know jack squat about what tires I need/don't need, so I trusted Sam, my sales associate, to make the best choice for me. She was very affable so I trusted her completely and had no idea she was a newer associate because she was calm and confident!

I said a couple times that the front tire was also losing pressure and that it needed to be inspected along with the installation of the new back tire. She seemed to hear me and confirm. I took a $15 uber trip home and waited about 2 hours, and got a call that I did indeed need to replace the back tire. I also asked over the phone, any updates about the front tire? They said no.

I ubered (another $15) back to pay around $350 for 1 new back tire and they assured me my front tire was 100% healthy and fine, they said they added air again and it was all good. I paid, and left and thought my saga was over.

Then barely 4 days later, that same front tire, which is usually a 36 was down to 11, then the next morning that tire was flat on the ground. A friend taught me to change it to my spare and I returned to America's Tire as a walk in on Saturday morning (today), and was helped very promptly by Marlon.

He inspected the tire and there was a small attempt to suggest that whatever leak could've happened between the week I was there and I rejected that completely because I had mentioned the low pressure like five times the week before. Then the associate, Marlon, looked at my brand new tire in the back and informed me that Sam had sold me the wrong tire. SIGHHHHH. Apparently the back tire was the wrong type of tire and was actually close to $90 more expensive than the tire I actually needed. So THEN I had to get the back tire taken off and replaced and then also buy a new front tire (even though I still don't know what was wrong with it). There was some talk of "compensating me" for this inconvenience but I don't think that happened.

They refunded me for the wrong back tire, then I paid again for two brand new tires so all in all I spent around $470 for two tires + insurance on each tire. They assured me that my car would be done in less than 2 hours.

I get home and I get a call that while they were installing one of their stocked tires, that they noticed their tire was faulty LOL. So NOWWWW they have to rush order a tire from San Jose and my car won't be done til the end of day, thus disturbing all plans I had for today and now have to spend probably another $100 ubering around to my appointments. They suggested that I just grab the car right now to make it to my appointments and bring it back on Monday and Tuesday but then that means taking time off from work which I can't afford to do, and spending more money ubering back and forth, so I just told them to keep the car.

All in all, two weekends worth of stress and $500 bucks gone and 0 compensation and a smidge of acknowledgement. At least Marlon was super friendly and caught the mistakes Sam made, and the manager Tommy seemed chill.

Extra fees that I wouldn't have had to pay if they sold me correct tires the first time.

Sam Robins and the entire team are professional and very knowledgeable regarding buying tires and what is best depending upon driving needs.

I didn't think I could afford to replace all four tire as two were really worn. Sam was great in finding a good price and I opened up a credit card with 0 percent APR to pay off total which was half of what I thought it would be!!

      Great job Sam!!!

I recently found myself at America's Tire due to a torn sidewall on my tire. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and organized the place was. It's not your typical garage; it feels professional and welcoming.

The staff were incredibly professional yet friendly, and they took the time to explain everything to me in clear terms. What really stood out was their communication. They provided regular online updates about how much longer the service would take, which made a huge difference in terms of convenience and peace of mind. America's Tire turned what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and easy one. Cost is slightly more but still reasonable and the wait, while not super short, was also reasonable.

      1 check-in

America's tire has been my go to tire service shop for several years now. However, the appt system at this particular location is fraudulent and not worth the hassle. I had booked a flat tire repair appt 1 day in advance. For a 11.15 appt, I towed my car and arrived on location at 11.20. There is apparently a 10 min window for appts after which it gets converted to a walk-in - which I wasn't made clear of in advance in any of the messages. Once I arrived at 11.20, I was stuck behind a line of people waiting to check in. At 11.27 when I finally reached the counter, I was denied my appt and was instead checked in as a walk - in. Despite explaining my situation above, the staff did not accommodate my appt request.

I would avoid this location if you have an appt and getting your car towed here. Walk-ins take priority here.

My go to place for tires. Service and lots of tires in stock. Cam set appointments online. Your cars are in system for any location. Tires like everything have gotten crazy expensive. But they are always priced right here

I was driving on the freeway when suddenly the low tire pressure warning light came on my dashboard. Not knowing the issue, I drove to America's Tire.

I walked into the lobby and was the second in line but was assisted immediately.

They came out to my car and quickly determined I had a nail embedded in the tire causing the leak.

They fixed the tire and air pressure at no cost. The process was fast, the staff was professional. My car was on the road in half an hour.

I will definitely be back for all my tire needs!

I ordered new tires for my Subaru Crosstrek from Tire Rack and had them shipped to this America's Tire store in April 2023. After I got the tires mounted, I took the car to another shop for additional work.

That shop then discovered that one of the wheel studs had seized, due to this America's Tire store negligently over-torquing the corresponding wheel lug nut. I ended up having to pay out of my pocket to repair the damage that wasn't even my fault.

Fast forwarding a year later, I was fortunately able to get reimbursed for the damage after speaking with the America's Tire store manager and following up with their insurance company, but I wouldn't want any other Subaru owner to go through this, hence why I am writing this review.

If you own a Subaru and need to get new tires mounted, steer clear of this store by all means. Subaru wheel studs are known to fail if they are crossthreaded or over-torqued, and the employees working at this store didn't seem to be aware of this.

This America's Tire is a bit hidden and out of the way. It was also a bit difficult to get to - as the turn light to turn left to get here did not turn green for at least 7 - 8 minutes, so I ended up getting out of the turn lane to go straight and make a u-turn up ahead where it was permitted to do so. Even after I did a u-turn at the next light and came back to the same intersection, the same car was still waiting at that light.

My main reason for coming to this particular location was because this was the only location in the vicinity that had a next day appointment. I had a flat tire, and I ended up having to change to a spare on the way, as well as having to deal with that never changing turn light and ended up about 20ish minutes late to my appointment, which resulted me losing my spot and having to be seen as a walk-in instead. Although I understood the policy, I wished that this was more clearly stated because the site still let me check in for my appointment late, so I assumed I was able to go through with my appointment. Anyway, if I knew about this policy, I would had just went to the Union City location as a walk-in instead of driving all the way to Fremont in the morning traffic.

Staff was not the most friendly, except maybe 1 or 2 of them. I got my car in about almost 3 hours, which sucked, but at least there was a Target that is walkable to that I killed some time at. I was charged about $400 for just 2 tires at first and I guess when they took my tires/wheels off, the rims were cracked or something, so I ended up having to buy new rims as well, which was about another about $700+. I was not expecting to spend over 1K or wait that long, but oh well.

Do not come to this Americas tire. Got a flat tire and brought it here on a Saturday to get it patched or maybe a new tire. They had an appointment available so I left the car. Had a busy day so asked the employee helping us what time they close he said car should be ready by 7 but I'll be here till 7:30pm.

Received a text that it was finished at 5. Went back a little after 6 and it was closed...shop and garages closed and locked up. No one around and that employee who told us he would be here till 7:30 was no where to be found.

Didn't receive a call just a text saying it was ready. They are also closed on Sunday. So I had to unexpectedly wait till Monday to pick up my car.

Don't take what the workers say as fact. Verify for yourself on what they say to you. In hindsight should have checked the hours myself and shouldn't have trusted their own workers. I'm so frustrated with the quality of customer service and value. A typical 2-3 hour process had turned in a 2 day event.

I finally found a reliable place for my tires. After many years of bad luck with tire shops I think it's time to stick to America's tire. They have the best customer service, professionalism, fair prices I would say, honest, they will tell you exactly what you need and not try to upsell like other places. I called many times with questions and each time they were so patient and helped me out. Just got my new tire today and will be back for the other one soon.

I walked in with no appointment to get a nail in my tire patched. The team not only took care of it fast and efficiently, but they also found more than one nail in more than one tire. Thank you to the team that took care of me today!
