America's Tire

Unfortunalty for me, I have stylish 19" low profile rims on a luxury sports car that HAS no SPARE TIRE! That's right not even a donut!
While I love the Bay Area, the pot holes and poor maintenance on the roads have caused me to have several blow outs on these really expensive run flat tires.
See run flats will overcome a nail or some other impediment that typically causes a tire to blow out or slowly leak all the air.
However the combination of a low profile, meaning the sidewall has little surface area from tread to rim, and a pothole struck exactly square, easy to do just driving straight, and kaboom!
If it happened once ok twice, and annoyance, three times and I'm getting pissed.
So you can imagine my anger and frustration when driving on Nimitz north just passing the Oracle arena, Kaboom.
I drove it straight to Oakland Infiniti plop plop plop top speed of 35 mph, where I was told sorry those tires are special order and "we don't actually carry tires".

Another side note, with no spare, towing can be quite expensive! And you have to tow to a place that has the tire! Not that simple!

Fortunately the first time this happened I was passing through Stockton and they towed me to americas tire location there who had my tire.

I was smart to add the insurance for like 200 smackers
In case it happens again they will just charge me labor to replace it.
These tires are $370 or so each so that was a smart investment!
This time after blow out number 4, I drive it on rims to a local tire shop got a used tire (not a run flat) for $50. Ordered my replacement at America's tire in Walnut Creek
I'm actually here because the 4th time the tire blew, on the Nimitz and they ordered and replaced it, Kody pointed out that it was just a matter of time before another tire blew out as there was air pockets inside the sidewalks were compromising the structural integrity of the rear tire.

It's never a good idea that a tire repair place knows your name! But today when I came in Kody (I remember him because he is very professional, smart customer focused

And most important may have forestalled blowout number 5! At least for a while.

Have always had great and quick tire service. But after a hiccup with a tire and another issue the store manager Michael did more than make up for it. I appreciate him and the rest of the teams service and will definitely return. Taking accountability is rare these days and these guys do just that.

Joseph instantly found a small nail in my tire that I could not see. They fixed it while I waited and got me on the road. I've been getting my tires from them for over 15 years and am grateful for their service. For whatever reason, the previous set of tires that I selected, ordered, and installed had a tread that didn't work well on my car. Without hesitation they ordered & installed replacements from a different manufacturer which have provided a solid, comfortable ride. While they fixed my tire on today's visit, I watched as Joseph and others swept and cleaned up the shop as I was the last car to leave. It came across to me as a workplace with a great culture for both customers and employees. Thank you!

My wife went in to have the front tire looked at. It had a chunk missing on the sidewall from a pot hole. Salesperson, Shane, said it needed to be replaced. They had the tire in stock. It was covered under their warranty. The other front tire was almost worn, so they recommended that be replaced, so we opted to replace that too.

When my wife got home, I noticed that they rotated the tires, putting the new tires in the rear. She didn't ask them to do that, they just did it. AWD model 3 vehicles wear tires faster in the rear than the front. I'm glad they are knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Saved me a trip to get the tires rotated. I really appreciate it! Love me some America's Tires! These guys are simply the best! I usually frequent the Concord location, but they haven't had the tires that I want in stock the last few times that I've gone. Insert America's Tire Walnut Creek! I love the fact that you can see their stock online. You can also pay for the tires ahead of time and setup an appointment and they will reserve everything for you.

This is a busy location but they are well staffed and they keep the lines moving. The customer service reps and mechanics are all super professional and knowledgeable. They are also extremely honest and trustworthy. I feel safe leaving my vehicle here and my car is always in great condition when I get it back. They've got an excellent selection of tires for whatever your tire preference is.

The prices are pretty competitive with other tire shops in the area. You could probably find it cheaper somewhere else, but this is one of those cases where I'm happy to pay more for piece of mind and above and beyond service. You don't have to purchase the warranties and they aren't pushy about selling them to you either. I still get them because this girl doesn't want to have any risks when it comes to my tires or my car. Such an excellent location with superior service!
