Anew Wellness Spa

I purchased a Groupon for Anew Wellness Spa for a massage with Vichy shower.

***Brief interruption: What is a Vichy shower you ask? It is a kind of shower in which large quantities of warm water are poured over a spa patron while he or she lies in a shallow wet bed, similar to a massage table, but with drainage for the water.***

When I called to make my appointment, I was notified that they do not accept Groupon's on the weekend, but that they would honor the price anyway. No problem! I booked for a 60 minute massage.

Anew Wellness Spa is tucked away behind a pharmacy on Monument Blvd. Upon arrival, I was given a brief questionnaire and taken to my room. The room with the Vichy shower was connected to the massage room, and that was up first. I was given a paper bra and short combo and was instructed to lie down. The shower was AMAZING! My masseuse Lisa scrubbed my body down while expertly using the shower head to massage me and keep me warm. After 15-20 minutes or so, I was told to take off my paper undergarments and lay down on the massage table. A few moments later, Lisa returned. My full body massage lasted about 45 minutes, and was great! Lisa maximized every minute, using her feet on my back to CLIMB over to the other side of the table without walking around. I was so relaxed afterward, and am very glad I wrote Lisa's name down, because I'll definitely be back!

Horrible! Bought a groupon and when I called to schedule they didn't answer then text me right away "no take any Groupon for now. Cash only"

Wow!!!!!! Someone needs to report them ASAP!!!!

Found this place through Groupon and purchased the "60 min couples massage with sweet treat and herbal tea." Based on the reviews i didn't have high expectations. I originally wanted to come sometime in May but when I called, I was told that I have to call back sometime in June. Fast forward to July and I was able to get an appointment the next day after calling.

We arrived and there was not much communication. We were lead to a room with two beds. At first, we questioned how clean the sheets were but after a quick whiff we both decided that they were freshly laundered. There was a man and a woman who massaged us. The man taking me and the woman taking care of my boyfriend. I had no complaints and actually appreciated the pressure he used. He also even found a few knots and paid extra attention to those areas. My boyfriend however complained of being a little sore afterwards and did not care for the elbow technique to massage his back.

I felt great after the massage just didn't care for the customer service. We also didn't get our herbal tea and sweet treat but my boyfriend just wanted to get out of there already.

I would come back if it were cheaper or if I found another Groupon deal.

Didn't even get the chance to go in and actually experience anything.

I got a Groupon to go in and called to make an appointment. The woman on the phone was pretty short and snippy at me when I mentioned that I had a Groupon for it. She cut me off and started listing off the prices. I let her know that I was no longer interested and she got even MORE rude.

Normally, I wouldn't take the time to go and write a poor review, I'd at least give a place a second chance. If you're not going to honor coupons or discounts, maybe don't have them listed? Im not really sure how that works.

Looking at other reviews, it looks like the universe saved me from a bigger headache.

So I don't typically give reviews but I felt they deserved one today. My gf and I needed a pick me up and so we decided to book a spa package of a 1 hr massage, mini facial and body scrub! Let me tell you... it was fabulous. We alternated doing each so i started with the body scrub followed by facial and massage while my gf did a massage with hot stones, facial and body scrub.

Body scrub: there's a bathroom adjacent to the massage room. And you're hoisted on a bed like tub where she will rub you down with tiny sugar crystals all while warm/hot water cascades down. The only disclaimer is that it's a little loud so it's best not to do a couple massage with this.

Massage with hot stones was absolutely amazing. I didn't get names unfortunately but the woman that did both of us really understood the body and got down to ever single knot. We both left drooling at how wonderful we felt.

Mini facial: I've never really had a facial before so this was a new experience. They used a steamer and lots of different oils/ lotions. It came with a lovely temple and neck massage as well.

All in all we will definitely be back. They took care of us today

This place is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful they sold me a Groupon and then when I went to vouch it they told me that they don't accept Groupons and I had to pay full in cash when I already paid for that Groupon.
I want to book and when I called to book the person on the phone treated me with extremely disrespect and anger at me for just being a customer. When I tried to book an appointment for a couples massage they told me that they don't accept Groupons anymore then started to yell at me and hung up. I got that group on because I wanted to make this place a regular place for me to get massages instead I will never be stepping a foot in this facility with the way they treated me.

Called ahead to schedule an appointment the lady said 140 for hour. Went in Sunday the ladies changed the price to 170 for 75 mins. I proceed to still try to enjoy myself and in the middle of the massage she tried to say it's actually 190. I paid the 170 still gave them a tip and they tried to say we owed them more money. Won't be going back.

Came in for a couples massage didn't have high expectations because it was a Groupon but they exceeded our expectations! Usually my husband is never happy with any of the massages we get but he loved it. Please do not let the 3.5 stars fool you and keep you from getting an amazing massage!! If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Really good massages and the owner is lovely! My massage therapist is often Paul, he's quite intuitive...seems to know where my body needs the most help without me saying a word. Prices are very reasonable too!

Horrible experience!! My boyfriend almost got his wallet stolen here by an employee. When he tried to pay he couldn't find his wallet. We checked the room and we couldn't find it. After my boyfriend got frustrated and told the owner they needed to give his wallet back or he was going to report them, one of the employees came out with his wallet and tried to say that she found it inside a box. This owner is very sketchy and tried to laugh it off. Never coming back here. Don't bring your wallet inside if you come here...
