    • Q:

Hi, are you able to remove and replace an old furnace and asbestos ducts? Our heater had died and we're freezing

      A:

Hello, I recommend having the furnace replaced if at all possible. A repair would be much more cost effective than a replacement. We are not taking furnace replacements at this time. To schedule an appointment for a repair please call us at (415)… more

    • Q:

Hi what's the warranty for the furnace if we will get it from you guys?

      A:

There is a factory warranty on the heat exchanger for 20 years and a 10 year warranty on all functioning parts.

Heating unit went out on my mother in laws house. I got three estimates and they all suggested replacing the unit for between $6k and $7k. The last shop said I needed to replace our ducts too so I decided to call Apollo. Good thing I did. They asked why I wanted a quote on replacing the unit, so I explained that three shops had already suggested replacement. They said that most shops don't have the expertise to fix older units and replacing is much more lucrative so most shops will just suggest replacement. They suggested calling PG&E and gave them come out and see whether they would suggest replacement or if it can be repaired. They even gave me the phone number to call at PG&E as I didn't know PG&E offered this service.

PG&E came out and said they could not get the blower working and I explained my story. He asked what company had suggested I call PG&E and I told him Apollo. His response was "Oh, Apollo, they've been around for decades and they do a lot of business in SF. They thought it would be well worth it to try fixing vs replacing the whole unit.

I scheduled my appointment with Apollo and the repair person was actually early... he called to offer to arrive a bit earlier, which was great with me. He repaired our unit for $600, which saved me $5,400. Time will tell whether their fix lasts but it's working great so far! Thank you Apollo!!!

I have a very old Mars Furnace in a rental unit that just stopped working. I examined the unit found a service sticker which indicated the company that installed it. This thing is probably about 50 years old and i was surprised the HVAC company was even in business. They told me parts were not available but they could replace it for $5500. I called Apollo and Christine sent me a tech same day and he replaced the ignition and fixed the unit in one trip and saved me about 5K. Honest company and great job!

I called for an appointment and Manny (owner) was able to quickly schedule a mutually convenient day and time for his serviceman to come out to repair a furnace (probably from the 1960's) in one of our apartment units. On the scheduled date, the serviceman, Chris, arrived promptly and was able to quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the gas valve control during the same visit (he carried replacement parts in his truck). Great service, quick, honest, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would not hesitant to call Apollo Heating for future repairs.

Hands down the best in The City. They're busy but they are prompt, reliable, & knowledgeable. Chris worked on our very complicated system and gave it a lot of thought and care. Do not hesitate to use Apollo, they are first class. JGMoore

The service repairman Chris was honest, efficient, and knowledgeable. He saved me the price of a new furnace that all the other repairman were recommending because they didn't know how to fix our old 1970 furnace. He also shared his knowledge and suggestions for maintenance. His price was reasonable and I would definitely use him again.

Apollo Heating & Ventilation is a top notch REPAIR service and don't just replace older heaters like most shops do. Three shops gave us estimates of around $6k to replace my heating unit.

Fortunately, I chose to call Apollo and they actually suggested that I call PG&E to give us a free heater evaluation on whether the heater could be fixed or replaced. I was blown away as I didn't even know PG&E would do this at no cost. I called PG&E and they said most companies just replace heaters because they don't have the expertise to fix the heaters and it makes them more money. The PG&E person who came out said they cannot recommend any company but asked who I was considering. When I said Apollo, he said they see a lot of Apollo work around SF and they have been around forever... He said he would choose them if he had any problems. Chris came out from Apollo and fixed the heater for $600. Time will tell but right now, Apollo saved me $5400 vs replacing the unit.

I called others to check out my furnace and all were booked solid for weeks. I called Apollo, who I remembered before had helped me. They responded the same day. Chris arrived and within minutes diagnosed the problem. Not only did he find the problem which PGE could not, he also had the part to replace a condensate pump.
Within 45 minutes, the heat was on. What's amazing is how fair their pricing is. I give Apollo and Chris the highest ranking. Do yourself a favor and call them for any furnace repairs.
