Strategically located but doesn't have enough parking. I am lucky I had a tiny car that I could jam into a corner and dash for the bus. That is the last thing you want to worry about if you are about to be late.

The park and ride is a convenient location for the dumbarton express. I usually get here around 7:05 am and the lot is usually pretty full by then.

My Cadillac converter has been stolen from here and it's frustrating knowing city of Fremont doesn't do anything. Security doesn't really patrol here and apparently other peoples cars and Cadillac converters have been stolen as well. City of Fremont owns this park and ride. Yet, they won't have security actively patrolling.

If you aren't here by 6 am, forget it. (except maybe on Fridays when ridership is down)
Convenient in that multiple bus lines all come here, but parking is scarce and nearby crime is high. I have personally not had a problem thus far, but other commuters have told me of items being stolen off their cars : stickers, wheels (seriously!), gas and there are occasionally people loitering there rather suspiciously it gets pretty creepy after nightfall.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Damon W.Redwood City, CA320Jan 13, 2018
Safe, fairly big park and ride with ample parking and not too far of a walk to your car from the bus.
WARNING: absolutely DO NOT attempt to park in one of the nearby 2hr parking slots. The property manager of the shopping center has a contract with All Day Towing that WILL tow your shit if you are there even one minute over your two hour limit. They have cameras and tow truck drivers ready to tow ur Shit to union city. I wish I was exaggerating when I say that they WILL get you if you even go over the limit by 1 minute. Get to the park n ride before 7 and you should not have a problem finding a spotHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jarvis L.Seattle, WA57124Feb 13, 2020
Parking is crazy at this location. You have to be there before 6am to get a free parking spot. The reserved spots seem to be available all the time but AC transit website says they are not available. I don't think A C transit is maintaining the waitlist well.

Got here at 615am at the parking lot before DB1 arrives and depart at 620am. Absolutely no parking spaces at all! I see a bunch of free reserved spaces available but cant park there. There is no AC bus transit attendant available either! Any alternative parking lot nearby?

Get here early for a spot! The parking lot is all right as long as you 1) get there early and 2) don't leave anything of any value your car. At 6:00 in the morning there are plenty of spaces, but I know it fills up later in the day. Not sure what time, though. Also, you see a lot of broken glass in the lot, so I've learned to not leave anything in the car. I've had my registration sticker stolen twice and my license plate stolen once, so it's not the most secure spot.

I tried to take the DB express for the first time today; I arrived at the park and ride at exactly 6:30 a.m. and there was not one spot available. There were plenty of "reserved" spaces; not sure what's up with that??

There's all sorts of wrong with this park and ride lot, especially if you come here to take the SB bus.
1. Can someone tell me why the SB bus does not actually stop inside the park and ride?
2. The westbound bus actually stops across the busy street that leads to the entry ramp to the highway
3. The eastbound bus stop is even worse. It stops under a dark desolate bridge, beyond the highway entry ramp.
Not to mention that there are supposedly bums that beg near these entry ramps.
These are the stops you are expected to get on/off when you park at the "park and ride" lot. How about some commuter protection here, huh? What idiots planned this? Its not like there isn't a bus stop inside the park and ride lot, but it's for every other transbay bus, lines DB, D, etc. Is this some kind of territorial dispute or something? It doesn't make any sense to me, and there is no way in hell that I will use this park and ride lot again.
Come on AC Transit, the SB is the only bus that goes to San Francisco from the Fremont / UC area, step up your game! It is almost impossible to find any reviews or google search results on this stop. I see tons of people on the bus. Why haven't they blogged or posted about this absurdity?Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
