Arirang Korean Restaurant

One of the most authentic Korean restaurant I've ever been to! The moment I walked in I felt like I was in a Korean drama!! Living the k life haha
I got their pork bone soup with their hot sweet fried chicken. Their soup was honestly the perfect fit for this cold weather! Kept me warm even after leaving the place! I would really recommend this place! Oh btw you'll have to enter from the back door! ( at least I had to today)

I liked the food. It felt very authentic. It is very much hole-in-the-wall. In Korea, there are thousands of these small mom-and-pop restaurants. I would not bring a date here unless they were kdrama fans or foodies. Fairly inexpensive. Service was mediocre.

I enjoyed some good Korean food at this restaurant. It feels like a family run business as I see the same three people working here.

The restaurant is small and dated, but clean. There is one room that can hold a larger group. Service is fast. Staff know enough English to get by.

Food is average price. Their menu serves the standard Korean items you expect from a small shop. There are the hot pots, BBQ sets, dumplings, soups etc. The banchan are decent and refillable.

Some foods are good but most are just average. Gamjatang pork has smell and stay away from steamed dumplings- it's all hard and has pork smell. I don't think they know how to get rid of smell of meat in cooking. I may come back one more time to try other dishes that may be worth for me to consider coming back for.

Simple home cooked korean meal. Fave is the grilled Mackarel which also comes with doenjang jiggae. Very yummy

Authentic Korean restaurant with home made quality dishes. The chef/owners have been running a Korean restaurant for decades, orginally located in coquitlam, now in Surrey. Writer personally recommends jeongol (big pot stews). They get tour groups dine in quite often, you may want to call ahead to dine in.. Highly recommend.

(galbitang) is excellent. The side dishes are seasoned perfect and they give huge portions, double or more compared to other Korean restaurants in BC. The hotspot dishes are fantastic. I'm Korean thus appreciate this authentic place. Owners are very nice too. My once a week stop :)

This is probably the most authentic Korean food I've had in Vancouver. Delicious, delicious, and delicious!

This place is what you call a hidden gem. Was craving Korean food and because all the ones my husband and I used to go to have closed down, we decided to test our luck with this place. Don't be fooled by the location because once you come inside, you'll see a very clean, home-y kind of atmosphere. We ordered bibimbap, pork neck soup, and deep fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Was not disappointed! Prices are very decent as well to say the least. Not only are our bellies happy, our wallets are too!

My mom and I ordered the galbitang and the sweet and spicy chicken, and it was amazing. While neither of us have had galbitang before (it was delicious and perfect for the rainy day), we've had sweet and spicy chicken before which wasn't very good. However, the chicken we had here was delicious, it was light and crispy and the sauce (while not very spicy) was perfect and was just enough. The place was clean and service was prompt, and though their English isn't perfect, it didn't cause any issue in ordering or paying for our meal. Definitely recommend checking it out, and I know that I'm going to go back.
