Artemis Whiskey Bar

This place is really fun. They pride themselves on some insanely large number of whiskies (in the hundreds I think), and imaginative signature house-created cocktails as well. And if the cocktail isn't on the menu, no worries, they will make it for you and will indulge you as you invent something together.

It has a speak-easy vibe with dim lighting and funky lights that give each seating section a different feel. Bring your reading glasses if you have trouble reading the menu in subdued lighting. (By the way Emily H's review about a drink written in Greek - it's not really Greek! It is Greek letters pretending to be regular English alphabet. Remember your math equivalences and have fun figuring it out!)

Fabulous bartender and drinks - extremely strange experience. Entrance is next to the Mexican restaurant (not where maps would lead you to believe). Entrance is speak-easy esque, but with zero instructions... spoiler alert: go down the stairs, pull the book that says Artemis back AND push the door... hard. Then enter... into a club? lounge? with cocktail bar prices, and rave lights, it is slightly entertaining, but odd. One drink requires a QR code to understand, another Greek (literally).

Great service and excellent drinks! A must see if you are visiting Victoria and are looking for a unique experience.

This place is a true Speak Easy. You have to pick the right book to get in! One side is whiskey and the other is cocktails but you can sit at either bar and enjoy creative one-of a kind drinks They have some food items as well. Amazing selection of whiskies, scotch & other fine spirits Go down there and treat yourself

This place seems really cool and it's a really interesting vibe. But they denied me access tonight because I was accompanied by a service dog. I hate causing scenes, so when they maintained that I couldn't say despite me telling them that is illegal, I left. But keep this in mind if you need support from a service animal.
