      Julie the reception and dispatcher is rude, point blank. Simply not a nice person.

      A few things to know about this business:

      1. If you are an automatic customer, your propane will be refilled as frequently as possible, at the highest rates possible. For example, if your tank is at 80% but the price of propane is at a 4 week high, then Julie will make sure to send a truck to fill you up to 100% at those highest rates. She loves to look out for customers!

      2. If you are on will call, where you ask for service as needed, reception/dispatch will tell you they will try to get you on schedule asap, but they will always, without fail, schedule you the maximum time out on the schedule. For this company, that is 10 business days. They do this so that you are forced to do one of two things in many cases, if you are below 20% tank volume.

      Either you pay $165 to have an express delivery, or if you happen to run out while waiting for them to deliver on schedule, you will be charged approximately $150. Julie likes to make sure she gets her money out of you.

      If you ask about scheduling and if/when they have a truck in your area next, they will not fit you into the next possible available time slot, they will just tell you they will try, and put you on the schedule for 10 business days.

      Reception/dispatch likes to use condescending language, and a real "boomer" attitude when dealing with will call customers that do not submit to the price gouging/selective service they provide to their automated customers.

      This business clearly discriminates against customers that opt out of the automated service, and when you ask them about it, they choose to be rude rather than find solutions.


      AVOID THIS PROPANE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

      Just changed services from BlueStar.. These guys were great! We had a power outage and our generator ran us down to below 10% on the tank.. Moe shifted his schedule around to come out with in 2 days to get us a new tank and propane just before we ran out. It also helps that they are about 15-20% less than BlueStar. Thank you Associated Propane aka Thompson Gas.

      My neighbors all swear by Associated Propane, so when I was ready to make the switch, I reached out to Associated.
      I reached out in late June, with our tank at 20%, and Denise told me she'd try to get me on the following week's Sebastopol run. I followed up midweek and was told we'd receive it at some point that week, but she wasn't sure when.
      When it didn't arrive by end of day Saturday, I reached out again and she apologized for forgetting who they were supposed to deliver to. (?!) She then said she would send them out the morning of the 15th. Okay, great. No one came. I reached out again - at this point we were down to 15% and I was concerned about having to wait until early August for the next Sebastopol run.
      She suggested I call the office because she was "rarely in the office" and didn't know why I didn't receive delivery. At this point I am baffled as to why we've gone through all this if she can't actually help me, but fine, I call the office.
      Sarah takes my information and says she'll talk to the dispatcher.
      She calls me back a few days later to let me know they won't be coming out to deliver. But, why? She isn't sure, she makes some comment about the fact that we're only at 15% and is clearly annoyed, but I want to know if they can't come out anytime soon, or if they're saying they can't service my address or what exactly "not coming" means. When I first reached out we were at 20% - am I somehow in trouble now that I've let it get too low while waiting for the delivery I was told multiple times would be coming? Should I be looking for another company here? She puts me through to the dispatcher's voicemail since apparently he is the only person at the company who can actually answer questions or get me on the books, and wonder of wonders, I never hear back.
      Clearly Associated Propane has enough customers.

      I dropped them after 3 years. I called to get a refill in December when I was at 30%. Then I called again when I was at 15% and the voice seemed "strained" to reply, "We are certainly not going to let you run out in this cold weather! We have notified dispatch." I called again mid-January to say, "Come and get your tank, I'm done with you guys" - after my tank finally ran dry.

      I was also upset with their billing system which required me to write checks and send them in the mail. They had an online presence where I could check up on my useage and billings, but for some reason they discontinued that.

      I'm a fairly new customer and I must say Associated Propane does it right. Great service, clear communication and (dare I say it) on time billing. In addition my propane service is finally up to date with an earthquake valve and the driver helped me with a stubborn pilot light.
      I was a Decarli's customer and got hit with the crazy billing. After I got tired of begging for a bill, I switched propane companies. Associated has been honest from the start AND the bill on time. I'm glad I finally went with a company who cares.

      We live in the San Geronimo Valley and needed new propane service. Bryce and his team are wonderful. Answered all questions, offer competitive pricing, free safety checks, year round budgeting and autopay. We were able to get same day inspection and installation (called in Sept, so season is still slow). Wonderful customer service and experience all around. I highly recommend.

      We have been customers with AP for many years. AP's staff, especially Eddie, on several occasions, helped with a propane tank that I thought was bad. He tested the propane tank with my BBQ and fixed the propane tank. We appreciate Eddie because he is conscientious, polite and courteous. Kudos to our guy, Eddie.

      Professional, friendly, and good prices.

      I stopped using my previous provider because of bad service, and found the good people at Associated Propane. They were professional, showed up when they said they would arrive, and provided me with propane at a very competitive price. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a new propane provider.

      As a long standing customer I can't say enough positive things about their service.
      Denise, Moe, Sara and Eddie are all wonderful people to deal with and are super responsible for
      and responsive to my propane needs.
      I cannot imagine better service.
      In my humble opinion it would be silly-if not foolhardy- to go with any other company.
      You will NOT be disappointed.
