Bay Appliance Repair was designated by GE to inspect a NEW stove that was under warranty when a burner malfunctioned and the glass cooktop cracked within a month of use. The Bay Appliance serviceman came as scheduled and worked efficiently, told me they would order the parts and process the claim through GE. GE denied the claim, and neither Bay Appliance nor GE ever informed until I called much later to inquire. Months later, after much frustration trying to even contact GE, I tried to schedule installation of the broken parts through Bay Appliance AT MY EXPENSE. The Bay Appliance agent on the phone, based in a different country, interpreted the case notes to mean that GE denied the warranty because they did not have the parts, and I therefore could not order the replacement parts and service through Bay Appliance. He refused to clarify the notes with anyone else. A quick internet search reveals that the parts are available (of course), and that the cost of the parts and labour well exceed the value of the stove, which is why GE would not honour the warranty. LONG STORY SHORT - no more GE and no more Bay Appliance

I had heard not such good things about At Bay Appliance. And I was very skeptical about them coming to do the repair on my range.
Then walks in Adam. Super knowledgeable. Extremely helpful and also very pleasant to work with. Adam went above and beyond to help not only with the problem with my range but I pointed out a couple of other issues with other appliances and his advice and guidance was invaluable.
Now when I need a repair on my home appliances of any type I call At Bay Appliances and specifically ask for Adam.
Honestly he's the best I've seen!

I practically never leave reviews, but my experience was so horrible that I hope to help others avoid being in the same situation.

My clothes dryer wasn't working properly (clothes weren't drying), so I submitted a request through my home warranty. They scheduled me an appointment with At Bay, so I looked them up to get a feel for their reputation. I was pretty shocked as I read through the countless bad reviews. I called my home warranty to see if I could switch to another company and they said that At Bay was great and that there weren't any appointments available with other companies for the next few weeks. I called At Bay and specifically requested to have a technician who received multiple positive reviews and rescheduled my appointment to have him. The night before, I receive an email confirming my appointment and that my technician will be the person I requested.

Who shows up to my door the next day? Someone else. It was a technician who didn't speak any English and I wasn't able to communicate with him the problem. I let him do his thing and at the end he said through Google translate that my machine was in working condition and that there was a part (knob) that was going to be ordered. Based on the provided information, I ran a big load of towels the next day, put them in the dryer, and a few mins later the machine stopped working and didn't turn on anymore.

I called At Bay to let them know that the dryer was in worse condition than when the tech arrived, and they said they couldn't send someone back until they received the part. I asked them why, since the knob doesn't affect the functioning of the machine, and that is when they informed me that they were also ordering a new dryer timer. They told me that the cost of the knob would be $45 (not covered by warranty), and since it doesn't affect the functioning of the machine, I told them I wasn't going to get it. After numerous follow up calls, the timer was finally ordered 2 weeks later.

I receive an email stating that my timer has arrived, and since over 3 weeks have passed and I still have a broker dryer, I proactively call them to schedule my repair, at which point they said that they were still waiting for the knob. So I reminded them that I had already told them multiple times that I would not be purchasing the knob. They say their records didn't show that and that they had to look into whether I could schedule an appointment.

A few days later, I'm finally able to schedule my appointment. I ask for another technician, one with whom I can communicate, and they said that they were not "allowed" to send a different person. So the tech comes to my home, changes the dryer timer, and through Google Translate tells me that the dryer is now fixed. So I excitedly do another load of laundry and, 2 hours later, my clothes are still not dry.

I call At Bay to let them know that they didn't actually fix my dryer, and they say they can't do anything because my case was closed. So I call my home warranty, and they say that they can sent someone again, but if the tech finds a "new" issue, they have to charge me the service fee again. I said that didn't make sense, because the tech obviously never found the correct issue in the first place, so anything that would be found would just be the original issue that the tech missed. They didn't care.

So long story short, I would avoid At Bay at all costs! 4 months later and I still don't have a working dryer because of them.

Service was horrible over the phone. They were rude and didn't provide any answers and still didn't fix my laundry washer 2 months later. Only used them due to my insurance provider. But Carlos that came out to do the work was extremely professional and tried everything in his power to fix the issues but simply couldn't due to the company ordering him the wrong part twice. But that still didn't help the 2/10 I would give them for the people on the phone I had to deal with.

I would give negative stars if I could. The person who came to my house was extremely rude and unprofessional. This repair shop was assigned to me as an authorized repair shop by my appliance manufacturer. The guy came to my house to repair my range. He opened the inside panel of the oven then ordered me to move the range away from the wall so he could work on the back. The unit was very heavy and I asked him to move it himself since he was there to repair it. He told me it was my job to move it and said "you fix it yourself" and walked away.

I called the manufacturer and they sent their own repair person who fixed the appliance to my satisfaction.

Adam came out to fix our LG washer. He was very professional and friendly but most of all he was efficient and knowledgeable. We would certainly recommend Adam for your repair needs.

This place was so bad it made me change home warranties. Reasons below:
-Scheduled 5 separate appointments and stove is still not fixed.
-I was told parts were ordered but every time they came there was another part to order. How to you not do a full assessment before you order parts for repair?
-Tech never had tools I don't know how they hire techs but they didn't have service vehicles. My tech pulled up in a Toyota.
-Tech took a massive shit in my bathroom and they had then nerve to complain that he got dirty from dust behind the stove before he left. He asked that I clean before he returned.
-He was always unprepared, I was asked to borrow electrical tape, scissors, and flashlights.

In short they are poorly ran and have techs that are probably reflective of the rate they are paying these are journeymen and not experienced professionals.

This Company is awful. I am only working with them because of my Home Warranty dispatching my dishwasher and refrigerator repair. DO NOT US THIS COMPANY!

APRIL 23 - I opened the ticket with Home Warranty
APRIL 24 - A technician was scheduled to come to my home. The office canceled the appointment because I didn't answer my phone. Even though, I was home all day waiting for the tech to arrive
APRIL 27 - The technician is scheduled to come to my home to fix the dishwasher. Tech determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced. And didn't look at the refrigerator
MAY 4 - tech came back out to install the drain pump and look at the refrigerator. Tech was at my house for less than 15min. He did NOT have the drain pump and determined they needed to order a part for my refrigerator.
MAY 23 - Tech scheduled to come to the house and fix the refrigerator. Never showed up. No phone call nothing.
MAY 26 - Dishwasher and Refridgerator STILL BROKEN!

I have ALL the emails to prove that they have ordered parts when they have said they have not, and that they did not install parts when they say that they have.

This company is a farce and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Failed to show up for 3 appointments over the last 2 weeks. There is a law on the books for firms such as this that have a 4-hour window for a customer then do not pay, so I'll be proceeding with a complaint. Heck, I'll be able to buy new appliances now since these guys cost me 3 days of work. Run, and run far away from this firm. Not reliable and lies that they're on the way!
