We aren't able to work on floor furnaces at this time. Recommend Stacy and Honrath, possibly Anchor Heating and Apple Heating.

Atlas were amazing! Get this--and I won't bore you with the details... One of their competitors came by and told me I needed to replace all of my air ducts as a solution to my heating issues. Then they quoted me for $12,000! I was rightfully appalled. So, I reached out to Atlas to get their opinion. They came by and fixed everything for $300. My heater has never performed so efficiently than it does now.

We were in need of a furnace replacement and I had heard good things about Atlas -- I am very glad that I went with them! Everyone that I worked with at the company was top notch, from the initial sales technician to the leader of the crew putting the system in place as well as the person who did the walkthrough and follow-up at the end. Atlas installed my heat pump HVAC system in 2022 and I am so happy with it. I never expected the system to pay for itself, but it is so much more efficient than my gas furnace that it is going to come much closer than I thought it would. Atlas has been responsible for the heating in my 1899 Victorian house since the early part of the 20th Century and I am so glad that they remain an expert and responsive business now. They worked well with all the city and power company approvals needed for the work. I did not have to worry about a thing during the whole process.

The thermostat in my house was acting up. I couldn't figure it out myself. A person came out fairly soon after I called. He made the thermostat be programable for scheduling again. I was so happy because when I called the customer service number on the actually thermostat of the manufacture they could not help me get it to schedule. That guy from Atlas pointed out the details of what he was doing as I stood there listening. He also was so fast programming it too.

Atlas was fantastic. They were able to come out 2 days after we called despite it being near Christmas (18-20th). They were able to diagnose the problem and get the needed part here within a couple hours.
They didn't suggest replacing the 20-year old furnace like another company had, and laughed when I mentioned that another company had recommended it.
They were able to diagnose that the furnace's board had failed. The previous company had done so as well, but they had also thought our blower was malfunctioning, because it was always on. Atlas' tech was able to start the furnace by manually completing the normal startup sequence (bypassing the control board), so they were able to rule out the blower being at fault. The blower's malfunction was just that it was getting the wrong signals from the damaged control board.
One thing I really value, especially with how it's becoming more and more rare: they were completely transparent in their pricing/fees. They didn't bundle everything together without prices, and then give us a mystery sum. They quoted their visit fee, the rate for their labor, and the cost for the replacement part. The control board wasn't cheap, but the cost of the new board and the single hour of labor they charged for diagnosing the issue & installing it was $800 less than the first company had asked for for their cheapest option.
They were polite and friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer a slew of questions from a first-time homeowner. All around fantastic, I highly recommend Atlas Heating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

If your furnace is older than 15 or 20 years, it is YOUR choice to decide what to do and when. You don't need a tech breathing down your neck telling you what to do. Glad we ruled out the blower for you since they are pricey. We work hard on getting it right and while we aren't perfect, we strive to be. We have not used them- not yet anyway. Thats why I did not put a fifth star. So far we have just had a guy come out. He told us different options but he was clear that hiring someone to assess what walls were insulated and getting insulation was the first step. He said we might not need his services but that that decision should be made after adding the insulation. Ww asked for a refferral and he gave us two. We are working with them now.

We're loyal customers for life (as long as we're in the Bay Area)! Our furnace stopped working and we called Atlas. They were responsive and came out in the same day. Eric diagnosed the problem to be the gas fuse and left with promise to look into it even though it was already after 5pm on a Friday. He promptly returned finding an exact match and completed the work after hours on his own time. He spent his precious Friday evening to make sure my family got heating through this cold weekend. I'm forever grateful for his care.

I recommend this company highly. Had them out to give me an estimate for a new heater, since I was told by another company that my heater was a disaster and needed to be replaced at once . Gabriel, a sales agent for Atlas, come out and he reviewed / looked at my current heater. He told me that I did not need a new one and my current one was in fine working order. Atlas has three divisions, sales, service and installation. Gabriel was from the sales division but did not try to push a new heater that I did not need. He also helped me with determining the best way to get better a flow of heat by adjusting the vents. It is hard to find a great company like Atlas Heating

Atlas Heating & Air Conditioning is a well-established privately-owned HVAC service based in Oakland that did an excellent job replacing my 94-year-old home's heating system. Their service included the replacement of the furnace and the entire duct system. From the initial evaluation and bidding to the planning and ultimate installation, it was apparent that I was dealing with skilled professionals who knew what they were doing, but who also were exceptionally pleasant to deal with. What would otherwise have been a scary and disruptive process--one that I had been dreading--turned out to actually be pleasant. From the office personnel to each representative that came to the house, everyone not only knew their stuff, but they also conducted themselves in an exceptionally kind, understanding, and accommodating manner. Their work was conducted in an efficient and organized manner and their cleanup afterwards was thorough. You absolutely cannot go wrong by enlisting this top-grade HVAC company. I whole heartedly recommend them.

Spoke with Bob about getting a comparison quote. He could've just hung up on me, but instead he gave me a background on his research of my condo and what's feasible. He also confirmed whether or not I had received a reasonable quote from a different company and why. Had I not already decided with the different company I would have definitely gone with Atlas Heating given the knowledge, patience, and overall excellent customer service i experienced talking with Bob.
