The AC of my new GLE hasn't been blowing cold air since day 1. I blame myself for not testing it when I picked it up, but I'm leaving one star here until I can return this stupid loaner car.

I purchased a car from Autobahn about a month ago. I wrote a short review as it was a good experience.
Since the actual purchase I received several "How did we do" outreaches both from Autobahn and Mercedes asking me to access the entire buying / selling process.

One of those notes was from Joe Cox, General Manager. Now I'm not stupid enough to think Joe did this himself. He doesn't have time to do this as his store sells lots of cars. He should, however, either read the responses or have a marketing person read them. Otherwise why even bother?

Case in point-- I took the time to write him ( as requested) a personal letter outlining some things I thought might be helpful information. Weeks went by and no response. Then a note which was a repeat of the first note they sent me. Huh? Is anyone home or honest mistake? I tend to give the benefit so I sent the letter again. Still no response except a week later Mercedes sends me a Survey. I filled it out and added some comments. No "thanks" for your time...or acknowledgement it was received. Just seems strange.

Anyway, the following is the letter I sent Mr Cox about my experience:

"Hello Joe,

Nice of you to ask. Thought I'd reply privately before doing an external review. First, Autobahn does a lot of things right. On the sales side I'd say from my limited experience your people are sharp, intelligent and attentive. My need was a little unusual, I needed an interim car until my new Porsche 911 arrives mid year. As a past multiple Mercedes customer I decided to look into buying a 3-4 year old 300C. A "go to the store" car. I live in Pebble Beach-- you had better selection and more reasonable pricing than my local dealer. I called your store, a SDR was helpful in providing information I requested and I then spoke to Cooper. Made an appointment for the next day and saw the two cars I picked out. Decided on one and ended up writing a check. Nice car, I'm happy.

Where it could be better-- the car was quick washed, inside windows not cleaned, not the previous CPO experience I had at Marin Mercedes. Cooper is good, compared to the usual auto sales person he excels. However, I know he was working another deal simultaneously-- even so he did a good job. He rushed through going thru car features, buttons etc quickly. I needed more. Just Enough to get me out of the lot. Gas tank only 1/2 full. 2nd key and owners manual were going to be mailed to me. He didn't have access to them.( got a note they were sent being sent).

Just because it wasn't a new car, this car was new to me. Felt like going to Hertz and getting a rental except their gas tank Is full. I just wanted a little more "love."

You move a lot of cars. I know. I took this time so you'd have a different picture than a traditional Cars.com review. Not unhappy and even with the "misses" better than most dealers. More love would get you closer to an Apple Store experience. Your store looks high tech-- feels good, just need to connect more dots.

I totaled my car and I was looking for a new car. I didn't know where to start but was interested in a Mercedes. When I walked onto the lot, Francisco greeted me and was very helpful. He was empathetic as I am still emotional from the accident and feeling overwhelmed with car shopping.

I honestly didn't expect much and was prepared to feel like I would being pressured into buying a car. Francisco did not make me feel that way at all. He was very informative and let me know all of my options. He listened to my needs and addressed all of my concerns. I'm thankful he was the one to help me out. I give Francisco five stars for his attentiveness, great customer service and knowledge. While I did not walk away with a car today, I know I will be coming back to Francisco to help me out in the future. Highly recommend!
