The headlight on my car burnt out. So I came to AutoZone to get a replacement. I don't go to Pepb**ys because I had a very bad experience there a few years ago. This location is further for me, but it's worth it for less aggravation.
It's difficult to get here because it's located right by the BQE and there is all kinds of traffic. If you come I would recommend in the early afternoon 11-2p to avoid rush hour, or come later in the evening.

When I was there I only saw 2 ppl working, but they were hustling to help customers at the register. There was a short wait, but I didn't trip...there were only 2 ppl so....

They had the part I needed, although the worker almost gave me the wrong part, realized his mistake and gave me the right one. He was friendly and helpful.

Don't come here not knowing what you need. If you need a part, go online first and see what you need before you make the trip. It will make it easier when you get to the store.

Outside looks a bit cluttered with discarded auto parts, not very clean. It's because ppl fix their cars in the parking lot, and don't clean up. The area might seem sketch cuz it's right by the BQE overpass, and there are mechanic shops nearby, but you'll be fine it's safe.

Be wary of ppl who offer to fix whatever issue you have with your car. They hangout in the parking lot. They may break your and they're not affiliated with AutoZone, so buyer beware.

i sent my friend in to get a battery, she got someone who quickly said that replacing the battery might not let the car truned on. she then called me where as i spoke to him and he quickly changed the story to it's going to take more than half an hour to replace. he then said to me that on his computer that it was going to take more than the time allowed for replacement. i told him that i've done it before and it doesn't take long at all. he replied well then maybe you should do it yourself and that it's a courtesy. i then told him that autozone shouldn't offer this so called courtesy and then lie about doing something so simple.

Very pleasant people. I had to come in for a battery; it was a rainy day, so they wouldn't come out outside to actually install it. But the service person came out with the tools and showed me how to do it myself. I didn't mind. On rainy days they might want to put up a temporary car port so that they can still provide installation, which is the reason I went.

It was a fluffy snow that was easy to remove from my SUV. The front & rear windshield defrosters were turned on. So I expected no visual problems driving my Grandson to preschool on the BQE.

Melting on the windshield started to occur as the defroster performed its job. I was splattered while passing a truck that was treating the road. So I turned on the windshield wipers to help. Help they didn't!!

The clear portion of my windshield was two narrow crescents. The rest of the glass was terrible. It was a windshield wiper emergency.

After breakfast I set out to find an Auto Supply store. My ready reference, as always, was Yelp.

Perfect!! There was a 4 star AutoZone at 3rd & Hamilton. Off I went!!

The store was in a warehouse area that is starting to undergo a renaissance. It was a small two store strip center with a nice sized parking lot. The store itself looked well maintained.

Now I know very little about cars and am darn proud of it. So I needed help.

I walked in to a clean, well laid out store. There was a large open area between the counter and the shelf area. It felt open, airy and welcoming.

Even before I reached the counter, the Sales Associate asked if she could help. Yes, she could. "I have a windshield wiper emergency. And I have absolutely no idea how to replace them."

She was so nice!! Volunteering to put my purchases on the vehicle for me, she asked if I wanted something high quality. "Yes, I did." I'm tired of taking the car for inspection every year and being told I need windshield wipers.

What she brought out was pricey. But they looked SOOOO much more sturdy and well built than anything I have ever had. I recognized the Bosch brand name. "I'll take them." We went out to replace the errant pair.

The drivers side wiper proved difficult to remove. I could see rust from the corrosive salt air atmosphere in Virginia Beach & the winter road spray in New York. After much work she went into the store for a tool to help. Still no success.

She was completely pleasant throughout the entire replacement ordeal, remarking that it must have been a long time since they were replaced. "Only since the last inspection".

Finally she decided to move on to the passenger side. It was difficult, but finally came off. Moving back to the driver's side, she went back into the store for WD-40. Much more effort finally yielded success.

Wow!! My new windshield wipers looked terrific and so well made. She told to to try them out. Double Wow!! My windshield was now clean. I could actually see through it.

This was an employee who went way beyond the call of duty. She wasn't going to give up. And she did it all with a smile.

Normally spending money on car maintenance is a drag. You don't seem to have anything tangible to show for your investment. I always dwell on the fact that I could buy a new iPad for the amount of money it takes to replace tires.

But I am as proud of my new windshield wipers as I would be of a new pair of boots. They are awesome.

This purchase should definitely protect me from the Snow Monster my Grandson says lives on the BQE.

Compared to the one on Coney Island this is my favorite location . Extremely helpful employees , parking lot and easy lay out store . Also maintain having most products actually on the shelves and in stock not having to go in the back

Had to replace a battery that I bought there 2 years ago - Manager was very helpful, honored their free replacement warranty, and even replaced it on the spot.
      Thanks for great customer service.

Horrible customer service. Called 30mins ahead of time to confirm that a part is there. They said they have it in stock and will put aside for me when I go pick up. I arrive 30mins later and they said they dont carry that here. Person who answered didn't even bother to check if they have in stock, just check part number and said yes.... waste of time
