AVN is my new favorite tire shop..hands down! I needed new tires and had the most honest, transparent and smooth experience here.. I think ever in my entire history of buying tires. Honesty is so key, am I right ladies? Man, if I had a dollar for every shady car/tire/mechanical situation presented to me, I'd be able to retire. JK, no one gets to retire in the Bay Area.

I started off at another tire shop in Alameda and was quoted a super high range amount for 4 new tires but when I brought up Tire Rack prices, they were able to slash that price by almost half. First of all, a range? Turns out, they only sold one kind of tire so why not just give me the price. Shady!

My friend recommended Ricky at AVN, she got her tires here and said they were great! Well, she was right! He laid out my tire options, gave me his opinion on each and we even checked prices at Tire Rack so I felt good about my choice. No pressure at all and they were able to get it done the same day. So easy. Thanks for the straight facts Ricky!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would - these guys are AMAZING.

I had a leak in one of my tires. As my tires are just over a year old, I was hoping it could be repaired and a friend referred me to AVN. I pulled in at approximately 4:30pm, with no appointment, and I was out with a repaired tire in less than 30min! They pulled out an industrial staple, patched and explained it may not work. tested it and told me it should be ok - all for $40. They were swift, courteous, and professional. I gave the young man who did the work a $20 tip. They've earned my tire business from now on - new or otherwise! Thank you!

You are probably making a second mistake by again underestimating your audience here, and making your entire counter-argument turn on the definition of the word "mechanical" - which is probably the sloppiest sophistry device you could have deployed.

If I were you, I would sleep on this to give myself a chance for a "Paul-on-the-way-to-Damascus" moment.

REASONING by LAW OF AVERAGES: Any right thinking reader of my original review would have probably concluded that this was a genuine review by a customer who had actually had dealings with your shop -- and not some shady figure connected to some nebulous shakedown scheme insinuated by your response.

PERSONAL & CORPORTATE BLIND SPOTS: We all have them, so you would be well advised to just listen and reflect as that is more often than not, the cure for the malady.

You seem to have done neither in this case because of your instinct to reflexively defending AVN Motorsports while implicitly ascribing shady motives to the reviewer who actually had zero interest in shading your business, or any other business for that matter, that does great work.

REASON for the NEW REVIEW & UPDATE: The only reason I came back to the review was that I had big dollar upgrades AVN could have helped me with in the coming months but because of the experience I had the last time I came by, AVN became the first business I crossed off my list.

No mystery behind how this works - and the main reason I had opined (in the first review) that you had "earned a puerile penny, while losing a precious pound".

Again, feel free to ignore this like you did the original review.

I am so happy and appreciative of this company.

Noticed my tire was getting low repeatedly, went over there. They checked the tire had a nail in the wall. Ordered my tire. Replaced the tire all within two hours. Always good service from these guys.

Came in at 2 with a leaky tire, drive home at 3 with it all patched up! Appreciate the quick response time and getting me back to work quickly!

I had an issue with a possible leak of a tire on my vehicle. I called first to see if they could help and if I needed to make an appointment. Note this was after calling another tire shop in the area and being referred to AVN since they were all booked up. I spoke to Vince at AVN and he told me that I could come in on that same day.

I went in around Noon and as luck would have it there was no wait to inspect my vehicle. They found and showed me that a nail was imbedded in my tire causing the slow leak. It took approximately 30 minutes to repair the tire. Total cost $40.00! So efficient AVN will be my go to for all of my tire needs...

I was referred to AVN from another local business and I have to say, I was not disappointed. I had a flat tire on a brand-new tire, uugghhh. I pulled up and not only was the staff super friendly, but they were fast and courteous. They completed the job quickly and I was super happy. I would come back for my tire services.

A first class place- helpful kind and as quick as possible- busy shop stopped to fix my flat on a Saturday with a full shop- highly recommend for all your tire work
